You have literally changed the way I do my makeup!!! Im 54yo & I still love to rock an 80's Nirvana (Grunge) smokey eye kinda look. I had no middle ground makeup routine. I either went with the "Rolled outta bed" look OR I was wearing a full beat going to the bank kinda girl. I finally have a routine that is suitable for running around doing everyday stuff.... No More Tammy Fae!! 😅😅

I LOVE the winged eye tricks, Nikki! I'm 56, although I'm blessed with not too many wrinkles, lol, I do have the challenge of being predominately bedbound. I need to apply my makeup in bed, with one hand holding my mirror, and one with the pencil, so this trick looks really easy to do without needing to pull on my eye in any way with my other hand. I've been doing something similar with elf's "wing stamp" brush; I either run some liquid eyeliner pen or eye pencil along the edge orrrr dampen the brush and press it into dark shadow. I love how you took it to the next level by pulling it out and sharpening the line with the damp brush. Brilliant little tricks!!

Nikki, your tips are all invaluable to me particularly the tip about blending blush on your hand prior to applying, & your tip about eyeliner wing. That one is priceless! I am 75 with slightly hooded eyes….something new to me as I’ve aged….I don’t like it. After I watched your tip I immediately tested it on myself using MAC’s Color Excess gel pencil/crayon gel in the color Sick Tat Bro, a very dark brown that doesn’t budge at all after application. Did it just the way you said - AMAZING! Works perfectly! Best eyeliner tip I’ve EVER learned. Thank you so much for making me look better & providing confidence in doing the dreaded wing eyeliner! Becky ❤️

Another woman with assymetrical eyes here, I also wanted to say that the bronzer/blush technique makes it look and sound almost like an oil painting, where the layer beneath has to dry first, before the next one is applied to create the illusion of layers of colours swimming or hovering above each other translucentky, this is exactly what we just learned, ❤️.

This is so interesting! I recently discovered i can wear several looks that i thought made my eyes look too tiny and mean, but if i remove the tiny bit of makeup from my outer corner/lid intersection (and the invisible line that would be most people's wing) and create an outer corner & liner wing just a millimeter above the "real" one, it looks fantastic! Still trying to figure out the color/light theory reason, but at least i can wear darker lid colors and shimmers on my outer brow bone!

Thanks for all these amazing tips! Especially for the hooded eye, that definitely is a game changer. Acting like I have a normal crease is groundbreaking, like omg!!! I don't usually contour my nose, but if I ever wanted to I know exactly what to do now. And omg the lip liner trick, outstanding. Btw you are stunning!!!!!

Same! Only one ive seen on YT doing that! It's how i hold my hand when writing too so guess seeing her do it makes me feel better bc ive gotten teased for holding my pen(cils) "wrong"..

Excellent video, love the eyeliner tip. Would you please do a video on brushes, synthetic vs natural and when to use. Also your recommendation on brushes you can purchase now, i.e., ., you lost all your brushes what would you buy that are versatile and can be used for multiple purposes.
