Ok, prophecy in last would have broken my heart back in season 11, but I genuinely think this was the best call now. As much as I love prophecy, it feels the most outdated out of any of the dungeons (even if shattered throne and pit are technically older).

Prophecy is one of the only dungeons that actually feels like a real raid but for 3 people.
The light and dark mechanic is pretty dope, the atmosphere is really grand and interesting, and the final boss damage phase keeps you on your toes. It’s also paced really well and nothing is time gated. If you know the encounters, you can move quickly.
Pit of Heresy wins atmosphere for me. Super chill but almost too easy. Wish there was 1 more boss and it would be top tier

    My list:
War Lord's Ruin - the difficulty and skill needed were well balanced. Ads are a touch excessive at a few points but still manageable.
Grasp of Avarice- I just love the theme but that sniper shank in the boss room can go frick himself.
Shattered Throne - I really love the space and it is fun. Currently working on a solo clear.
Duality - this one took a while to grow on me but I enjoy it now.
Prophecy - love the tone shift and how different it is. I would love to get a solo clear but still trying to learn the best way to go about that because I just am not getting it.
Ghosts of the Deep- amazing look and honestly I like it quite a lot but the final boss kills it for me. No boss should have that much health and take that long to set up such short DPS phases on.
Spire of the Watcher - I hate this one. I am good enough I have taught it to new players and know how to get the collectables but I hate it. I only will touch it for good friends and want it over as soon as we load in.
Pit of Heresy- honestly not sure as I only have 1 clear from like 2 years ago.

I've run Warlord countless times and I still think it's overrated af, weapons are mid and armor more so, music is just iron lord nostalgia, speaking of which you could replace the Scorn with Fallen Splicers and get a Wrath of the Machine poser. Also the title for it is even Wrathbearer, imagine if this is why they didn't give us WotM reprised, cuz they already did it with Warlords.

The mechanics are just boring and janky at times.
Sitting in totems is just boring & it’s rng if the dude wants to spawn 2 in or not. Then having to dunk balls on top of that on ogre is also just boring.
Then on final boss the buff transfer mechanic is just weird to do especially when 2 or 3 go to one person. Atleast the final boss is cool with having many smaller damage phases.

    • @ClammyHorrorShow
      @ClammyHorrorShow 5 месяцев назад

@@wingedskull5666 I can give you some suggestions for the solo flawless, first encounter is super easy, just bring a high dps weapon for ogres, like a heavy machine gun, hammerhead is really good against them. Tunnels I’d just say play safe and pop a well or bubble if an ogre corners you in a hallway then dunk.
Third encounter is the hardest one imo, bring a well, DO NOT go for the knight in mid, it’s a death sentence bc totem will wipe before you finish killing him. Kill knights up too w hammerhead, alternate between the left and right knights and dunk the orbs they drop. Run sunshot for ad clear it’s amazing in that encounter. Pop well after every 2nd dunk, so pop well after you dunk 2 then 4 and then pop another if your overwhelmed by ads. Run the warlock chest piece that gives you super energy for kills in the well it’s amazing.
Finally play extremely safe in the wizard section, do not try to blow through the traps. Go slowly, find the three wizards and kill the w whatever.
Final encounter took me 4 phases to kill, so go for the shrieker boss first, kill it and the acolytes. If you kill all of them first it makes the boss encounter 10x easier. Kill the knight and wizard next but DO NOT dunk a ball on a totem the boss is text to, alternate the dunks where the boss is not standing by. Then when damage starts immediately pop well and start shooting w hammerhead on his head, do not use rockets bc you might blow yourself up.
That’s it! I hope this is a bit helpful :)

I’m a certified shattered throne hater. It’s just a running simulator, first encounter is running between different areas killing enemies, then there’s a marathon through several different areas including the slowed room to the ogre boss, who just falls over. Then it’s another albeit slightly less tedious run up lifts to the final encounter, where the boss dies in 30 seconds. Only one mechanic throughout which isn’t particularly engaging, plus you spend more time running than actually completing the encounters. Absolutely horrible for repeated runs for me. Not to mention how unnecessarily dark it is all the time.
Similar issue for me with ghosts of the deep. First encounter and the run to the second encounter take an obscenely long time which is awful for repeated runs, which ruin an otherwise decent dungeon imo

  • @federal5842
    @federal5842 9 месяцев назад +2

    My List:
Shattered Throne - I do not like this dungeon at all. I don't generally like the Ascendant plane; it feels more like a long strike or an exotic mission. Going through the tower before Dul Incaru is cool, but basically speeding your way through doesn't really feel fulfilling or have much depth to it. Solo flawless is easy, it is just don't be dumb and don't try to go so fast you fall off.
Pit of Heresy - I've run this solo for the past 8 weeks (getting the ship), and once you know how to virtually 1 sword the first encounter, it goes a bit quicker. It isn't a bad dungeon, it is just outclassed by all the newer dungeons there are. The chasm is cool, but the other encounters get annoying, especially with how long they can take (if you don't kwtd or are not confident with solo activities). Alright solo flawless too, not too difficult
Grasp of Avarice - This dungeon is definitely made based on nostalgia. Much like TFS Collectors Edition, the nostalgia means nothing to me since I was not around to experience those things. The first boss is cool, the whole trap thing is done a lot better by Warlord's Ruin, and the shield part drags on forever, even in whole fire teams. The journey of the Fireteam was cool to listen to, and the solo flawless isn't that bad if you are good at solo things.
Prophecy - Cool aesthetics, and that is about it. This dungeon just feels, empty like there is nothing really there and that it's just killing the boss, and doing the puzzle without any depth. The Dead Sea (or as everyone says Rainbow Road) definitely carries it though, that is super cool. It also is a fun thing to run with friends (especially f2p ones), and is a good introduction to dungeons. Solo flawless is eh, not too bad but considering I did Duality as my first, it came out a bit easy.
Duality - The aesthetic is cool, the mechanics have depth to them and it is fun to run solo. Although this was my first solo flawless, I like the other dungeons more due to the journey and aesthetic you encounter. Going through Claus's mind is very cool, though there wasn't much evolution of the atmosphere in the sense of danger (think TFS where you start in this green lush Tower and make your way to the Witness in the twisted deserts.)
Warlord's Ruin - Very cool dungeon, the atmosphere is great, I love going from the first encounter to the mountain where we fight the last 2 bosses, and the prison puzzle feels really cool. The traps are done better than Grasp, as they don't feel overbearing but you also need to be alert when going through. Scaling the mountain to the final boss is also super cool, and the final boss was definitely a reflection on how I usually approach Solo Flawless dungeons (quick burst dps phases, instead of one long drawn out "do as much dps as you can" phase). Solo Flawless was not too hard for the first 2 bosses, but you have to adapt how you play (at least on Hunter) for the last boss. Fun dungeon, with good-looking armour (I don't really care about weapons, even if e.g the Sniper was good, who's gonna run it over Succession or Supremecy?). Also FIX THE EMBLEM PLEASE BUNGO.
Spire of the Watcher - I LOVE the atmosphere in this dungeon. From opening the bunker door to going through the Spire (and seeing the final boss in the first jumping puzzle), then ascending the Spire, going down it, and seeing the Chernoyble-like core, with the boss actually posing a threat. Solo flawless emblem looks really cool, and it isn't miserable to do. It just feels good to do, and when you know how to exactly do the nodes it just hits right (probably why Ron is my favorite raid, since it's all about speed and precision rather than mechanically miserable).
Ghosts of the Deep - This is my favourite dungeon. From starting out in the Archology, to making your way down it, seeing how it is abandoned and has succumbed to the seas of Titan, the then going inside the Hive ship, fighting the boss underwater and then above (I love how he looks when chasing you, like a true Trials of Osiris Titan), to then going through the back of the ship until we finally meet Oryx and the Lucent Hive. It feels like you actually need to use your brain during the fights, and that there is a very real threat of being punished for not being alert. Also the funnest Solo Flawless in the game, I've done every Dungeon, and this one definitely felt the most fulfilling to do, and actually gave a reasonable challenge that other dungeons simply cannot hit. Yes, it does drag on a bit (and is not solo-friendly at all), but all of those pale in comparison to what it shows and the journey we go on.

This guy is the perfect example of why Destiny is dying. I bet he's one of those that wants now encounters and encounters that are different, however he's knocking every dungeon for the same issues. He wants all the dungeons to be fast paced, he doesn't want traversal sections and he doesn't like bosses with a lot of health. So what he wants is dungeons that you can fly through and kill the boss instantly. He's complaining about the water section in GOTD, he's complaining about any encounter that requires you to repeat the process and he's complaining about any slow sections. Different dungeons are supposed to have different encounters and different pacing. So if Bungie did dungeons the way this guy wants it, he'll be flying through the dungeons, complete it multiple times and then complain about no new content coming out. Just enjoy the dungeons how they are made and do the encounters at the pace it is set and you won't get bored of it. Bungie are in a no win position with people this guy.

Duality - I’ve always found this one quite fun. Good cqc encounters with an amazing aesthetic and loot.
Warlords - Cool environments and bosses, but the loot is ass apart from the sidearm imo.
Ghosts of the deep - Near perfect dungeon in terms of environments, encounters and loot. 1st encounter sucks tho, but the traversal sections aren’t even that bad imo people just don’t like them because you can’t clear it in 5 secs with eager edge etc.
Prophecy - Coolest visuals for a dungeon and the Kell Echo is a great boss fight. Decent loot as well. Other two encounters are just kinda okay.
Pit of heresy - a decent speedrun dungeon with a interesting vibe. Nothing really noteworthy here but nothing bad either (apart from loot)
Grasp - Was fun at the time but there was only really two weapons worth getting and the encounters didn’t really stand out that much for me. Shield encounter may be the most tedious dungeon encounter
Shattered throne - the og vault of glass of dungeons. Cool for it’s time but rating this highly is because of nostalgia and nothing more. Only drops dreaming city loot and the fights are over before they can even get going.
Spire of the watcher - maybe not the objective worst, but I don’t like a single thing about this dungeon. Bad mechanic, annoying bosses and mid loot. Cowboy armour was cool I guess.

It’s not so much that I’m mad at the order but more that the dungeon I consider the absolute worst and irredeemable in almost all counts isn’t even in the bottom three. (Had to pause video to comment.)
Pit is easily the worst in my opinion. Slow slog of a first encounter, the ogre encounter is cool but can get annoying when the ogres refuse to move away from where you need to be. The totems is a chore, the navigation section after is annoying and the final boss is.. ok I guess. Then it doesn’t even have any good loot unless you count Xenophage. Easily the worst dungeon though I’d definitely have spire in second last place!

  • @blseodm
    @blseodm 9 месяцев назад

Top to bottom (Best to Worst), imo.
Warlord's Ruin. Replayability is definitely there. Weapons could be better in some places, but the setpiece is perfect. Encounters are also all bosses, which is the first of it's kind.
Prophecy. I feel the pacing is actually perfect. Encounters are straightforward, and transitions aren't inhumanly long. Recycled loot, but it fits the aesthetic of The Nine better than Trials of the Nine.
Grasp of Avarice. Good extension of the game's history, boss encounters are fun. Shield is meh.
Spire. Fast paced, first Wyvern boss, and it's encounter was fun to use a reactor overload to take down it's shield for DPS. Wasn't thrilled by loot or Consecrated Mind 2.
Duality. Unique setpiece. Didn't like the bells. Loot is mostly outdated. Exotic is pretty meh.
Ghosts. Long first encounter, long traversal, long final encounter. I don't like the idea of using an exotic slot all to bust their shields to get more DPS time. Only good loot is the armor, rocket, and exotic.
Throne. Dreaming City reprisal is good. Bosses need some more health to be actual threats as the only real threat here is repeating the Ogre beam balances.
Pit. Hasn't aged well. Best things about it are spiked stat armor, Xenophage, and the one boss in the dungeon at least dies as quickly as you can pass a fart.

With the way things have aged and how overdone some aspects of them have become, it's wild to me to not almost automatically have Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy at the very bottom two spots. If one of the big components for the list is replayability, both come in at an F. Boring encounters, power crept to oblivion, very weak gear aesthetic and cookie cutter enemies turned into bosses. I appreciate what they did at the time, but dungeons by this point have so far surpassed those two that it's very evident even at just a glance.

Also yea all the weapons are mid in pve, but 3 out of 4 weapons shine in PvP. matador has been the best energy shotgun for over a year now, the sniper is great (on pair with beloved, just harder to get) & eyasluna was the meta once aswell (kinda fell off with the rangefinder nerf, still decent tho, just rose is better now)

Once we run out of raids to reprise I hope Bungie takes the route of reprising dungeons. Shattered throne is an excellent example, nearly every encounter could use a touch up and it has ZERO loot. Maybe to entice further players, a new exotic quest tied to the dungeon (Or an RNG drop for cases like Heresy and Shattered Throne that already have an exotic quest) as well as actual SPECIFIC loot for that dungeon. As it stands Pit of Heresy and Shattered Throne have no loot to actually grind for.

Here is my list (are purely based on the me mechanics, pacing, a little aesthetics & how much I enjoy them personally ):
    1. warlords ruin (overall great, can’t complain about anything, puzzle is a little bit annoying if you are playing it with 3 and visuals at second are a little annoying with the snowstorm active, final boss is one of the coolest fights in the game, ogre is a little lame at dps)
    2. duality (if the bugs were not a thing it would be #1, great dungeon very good paced, great traversing, and the best boss fight & dungeon mechanic we got, making u go into a different realm with a time limit to it, just makes it stand out from the rest, u need to move fast, kill fast)
    3. ghosts (bosses have to much health, first encounter is a chore & traversing takes too long, ecthar might be one of my favorite encounters with warlords ruin final & caiatl & prophecy final)
    4. prophecy (great dungeon, solid mechanic, traversing sections are great visually but a chore like u explained, also 2nd takes too long, just bad pacing honestly, 1st encounter is a good one and final one is great, moving while doing dps is always very cool and not as boring as sitting in a well and just shooting the boss, need more encounters like this in the game)
5.shattered throne (love everything about the dungeon, best traversing sections we have, unfortunately crazy power crept, the bosses are not bosses, needs an update regarding health bars & would love to see second encounter getting a rework, most lame boss fight there is, it was the first dungeon ever and it shows in the mechanics)
    6. pit of heresy (first encounter is solid, but a worse version than shattered throne basically, very similar mechanics, go to a place kill a few enemies go to the next place, very annoying that u need to go & search sword bearers first before u can go to the rooms, takes so long to find them usually, in my opinion the dungeon has the most unfinished traversing together with prophecy and ghosts, 2 encounter is another plain and boring encounter, only decently okay if solo, final boss is very good honestly in comparison to the rest)
7.spire (the worst main mechanic honestly, just not fun at all, just feel like a chore in every encounter, Harpyie boss is straight stolen out of garden, final boss is decent, traversing is alright)
    8. grasp of avarice (good traversing sections, especially the first one is one & the sparrow one are among my favorites, but the main mechanic is basically gambit and a worse version than prophecy, just kill stuff and deposit motes, both boss fights are plain and it’s just sitting in a well and shooting gun, after u deposit motes. The 2nd encounter might be the worst dungeon encounter ever with ghosts opening encounter)

imo they need to reprise the first 4 dungeons loot with either new weapons or at LEAST new origin traits, shattered throne could have taken DC weapons (give them unsated hunger and the dc origin trait ez) pit weapons could just be lucent brood themed just throw some hive vibes on green weapons like they did before and boom ez, give grasp an origin trait could be as simple as extra glimmer on kills or something but thats my only real plight with them, proph just needa origin traits as well. would give them way more replayability

Duality (aesethics) and WR are my favorite dungeons. I love Spire as well, but I'm putting ST in 3rd because it's the only solo I have because I solo'd the Wishender quest during the crafening. I wish I liked Ghosts more, but the underwater traversal and the boss shields being part of DPS sucks if U don't have an Arby to 1-shot them. But dungeons have gotten better since they've become a big endgame focus.

    My list:
    1) Warlord’s Ruin: best experience, nice difficulty, three boss fights, just the loot is bit meh (apart from the two sidearms), great Solo Flawless experience.
    2) Ghosts of the Deep: insane lore, very good boss fights, loot is meh apart from RL and Navigator, I still like the underwater sections despite them being a bit too long, bosses shields are stupid. Terrible Solo Flawless experience.
    3) Duality: every step is very good, loot is good, too many bugs. Terrible Solo Flawless experience.
    4) Prophecy: great setting, good fights, Rainbow Road is peak Destiny aesthetic, loot is decent but powercrept, it is just being overtaken by newer Dungeons. Nice Solo Flawless experience.
    5) Spire of The Watcher: first encounter is a glorified platforming section, however it is soooo good having to scale the Spire up to the top. Good boss fights, especially last one. Loot is very bad, exotic is good but very niche. Bad Solo Flawless experience.
    6) Pit of Heresy: good overall, Chamber of Suffering is a great encounter, loot is non-existent, aged poorly. Good Solo Flawless experience.
    7) Shattered Throne: aged very poorly, I hate the screen being black due to Ascendant Plane, non-existent loot, Good Solo Flawless experience.
    8) Grasp of Avarice: very fun running it the first time, second encounter kills the entire dungeon for me though, worst encounter ever. Boss fights are nothing memorable. PvP loot. Good Solo Flawless experience.

May I ask why your duality solo flaw experience was terrible?
this was actually the solo flawless I enjoyed the most, bosses were not too chunky, there were little tweaks that got u to speed up 1st & 2nd encounter & caiatl was a fast paced intense fight, definitly one of the hardest in a solo flawless we had, but in a good way, no stupid health sponges, 3 phased her easily (only got to do dmg tin 2 out of those 3 phases).

Thanks for the great content - as always :)
    My personal ranking would've been:
    1. Warlord's Ruin (best overall package)
    2. Prophecy (I think the theme is brilliant and I love the colour scheme)
    3. Spire (learning and perfecting the dot mechanic has me feeling like a speedrunner - though ofc I know there's more to that. but still ;D)
    4. Ghosts of the Deep (this would be #2 if it had way less moths and slightly shorter travel sections)
    5. Shattered Throne (the taken realm is cool, but even with brighter settings I have a hard time seeing some things in that dungeon - hate that. Most stuff about this dungeon is very cool, tho)
    6. Duality (it's fun, wish it hadn't been as buggy when I still ran it)
    7. Grasp (hate the little shank in the boss room and the shield phase, everything else is amazing. especially love the sparrow section)
    8. Pit (this one is my fault - I cba to learn the paths for that section right before the boss. I hate it there)

We put ghosts at 2 or 1 because we believe it has the best dungeon mechanics from my dungeon with little to no contest. Ecthar is great with ad density, complexity, and DPSing him is fun as hell (With 3 PPL) and the final boss has OUTSTANDING mechanics, better than even some raid encounters imo, and some of us DPS fanatics like inflated boss health, although I would say it's a bad thing.

I actually really enjoyed going through Ghosts Of The Deep so much that currently I'm in 76th place on the leaderboards with 83 full clears on dungeon report!

    3. Really like the Pit solo flawless emblem
    4. Grasp of Avarice
    5 Prophecy
    6. Shattered Throne
    7. Spire Of The Watcher
    8. Duality, I absolutely hate this dungeon because I got to final boss at least 10 times while solo flawlessing and I kept getting screwed over every time.

I did all of these dungeons solo flawless within 2 weeks of them releasing (except pit & shattered) actually enjoyed duality the most out of these solo flawless (prophecy & warlords ruin close 2nd & third) there were so many really cool mechanics that u could use speeding things up and mastering, caiatl solo was actually difficult and not a dps chore like ghosts, grasp & spire. Also duality has in my opinion the most fun main mechanic, especially compared to the grasp & spire. I think I 8-phased spire final boss. All of these 3 dungeons (spire, grasp & ghosts) took me 1.5hours. While the other took me an ~ 1 hour or less.

For me i prefer encounters that are a bit more mechanic intense. Having said that i do appreciate the lore and loot of some of these dungeons are lot. I struggled with Warlords and Duality for which one i would put second.
    1. Ghosts of the Deep - Has everything i like, Aesthetically a very pretty dungeon, Mechanics are quite intense, especially in the final boss and the loot is good, plus the lore implications with Oryx are awesome. I know some people dont like the traversal underwater sections but personally i love these parts as i think it looks really cool, and its very immersive. But again, i understand those who dont like it.
    2. Warlord Ruin - 10/10 for the environment and vibe, The "Stand next to totem" mechanic is a little simple, though the biting cold and playing hot potato with the corruption was fun and the prison was my Favorite part.
    3. Duality - I quite like the switching to the nightmare realm mechanic, 2nd encounter i agree is the worst one, but Loot and Lore wise i think this is a great dungeon.
    4. Grasp of Avarice - Just a solid dungeon overall, Great loot and some of the best music in the game. Though i do also agree that the fallen shield encounter feels like a bloated add clear section.
    5. Pit of Heracy - A good dungeon let down by terrible loot and replayability, the broken blade bosses are cool though.
    6. Spire of the watcher - Just pretty average imo, the whole "shoot node in order" thing got old real quick, final boss was a good challenge though due to its aggressive nature
    and health pool.
    7. Shattered throne - Was tough when it first came out, but now after seeing all the other dungeons its a lil out-dated, loot-wise its not great. though the ogre boss is cool.
    8. Prophecy - Cool looking dungeon but thats it for me, the light and dark gambit motes got really tedious for me personally, there would be numerous times where the wrong mote type spawned because it took a moment to register i was now in the dark, cool dps phase on the final boss though. This is the only dungeon i will straight up refuse to run just because its the only dungeon i genuinely dislike.
