    Hi friends!
    In this lesson I'll teach you how to REALLY get an even wash in watercolor.
    This is such an important skill to practice and internalize, because the next time you work on a painting it's just going to be better. Sounds good? (;
    We will make use of the BEAD in this video. We'll talk about how to utilize it to give yourself more time, and have a great result at the end.
    I hope you enjoy this one, and feel free to leave any comment and ask any questions you may have.
    - Liron

      I agree! I was looking specifically for wet in wet, and came across Liron. I don’t think I’ve ever found a better instructor for the basics! I’ve been doing a course on Udemy that covers this exact thing, but jumps right in to creating a fairly complex painting for beginners. I completed the first course, which was all wet on dry, and I somehow figured it out. But the wet in wet has been so overwhelming that I’ve gotten frustrated and stopped trying. I’m actually a decent acrylic painter, but watercolor takes practice. Love these videos!

      Wow, seriously! I just picked up watercolor and have been so confused and overwhelmed. Not being sure if the issues are my technique, the paint, the brush, etc. Now I finally feel like Im starting to understand. Thank you!

    I am new to your channel & in my 40s. I would describe myself as a complete novice, with only about a year working with watercolors. Although frustrating in the beginning, I love watercolors (& all types of art modalities). With all your videos, I figure, it will likely take me the rest of my life to go through all your teachings. What a wonderful wealth of knowledge you have. I thank you sir, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing such helpful information 🙏🏼

    Liron, Thank you very much for this explanation. Artists on youtube, doing portraits seem to just dab color all over, then never explain what the are doing. A little blue here, some sienna here then all of a sudden the wash is smooth and blended and with depth and we have trouble understanding how it was done. This is an excellent video. Thank you.

    WHAT??!!! “…feeding the bead!!” Why have I never heard anyone else explain this? I live in a very very dry climate and struggle tremendously with the flat wash. I’ve never been able to maintain that elusive bead. I can’t wait to try this “feeding the bead” technique. Thank you so much for all the invaluable content you share, Liron. I have learned more from you than ANY other artist I’ve ever followed. You are my art hero…❤ 💪🏻❤

    I'm a beginner in everything in arts .... i'm starting to paint with watercolors. I've seen at least 50 videos, and yours are the most informative, relaxed, giving great advice, practical advice !! mental advice !! and you don't to small talking (which I hate in 15 minutes videos). I'll be watching all of your videos for sure. This is just my #3.

    Great lesson because what frustrates me is how uneven and blotchy my things look. I really want to learn to paint an object with a very consistent look to the color (say, as I like gouache usually does--even and flat). This tutorial really helps. I like your videos and happy I know of a place online I can visit for expert help. Thank you, Liron!

    I don't have sepia on my palette. When I want or need it I just mix a touch of ultramarine with raw umber. When painting with browns I usually mix three puddles... a sepia for one puddle then my ersatz sepia plus a little burnt sienna for a van dyke brown for the second puddle and burnt sienna plus raw umber for burnt umber. Raw umber is for me a far more useful color than sepia. For each his own. That's one of the great things about being different people and the existence of so many colors. There's something for everyone. Right? Riiiight!
    The tough thing about getting a large even wash is when the wash is interrupted by or has to be painted around objects...i.e..roofs, chimneys or smoke stacks, girders, cranes or other equipment etc. Not as easy then. Got any suggestions Liron?
    I'm trying to work my way through your vids. Oy! So many! You are one prolific dude. ✒✏📘🎨🎤🎧
