A well-known Stellenbosch community activist said he was lucky to be alive after he was allegedly hit on the head with a whiskey glass by striker Iqraam Rayners from Stellenbosch Football Club.
Activist Eon Hendricks and the striker were believed to have gotten into a brawl on Saturday evening at a popular pub called Centraal in the town. Speaking to News24, Hendricks said he was lucky to be alive.
