    I just subscribed! I'm 64 and my grandmother got me started when I was 8. I watched the long and short of it and learned so much! The front of what I made looked o.k. but the back full of knots! I have been sewing in the wrong direction. So this was very informative! I think you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks

    Hello!
    I just watched your video on long and short stitch shading and I found it to be incredibly helpful and informative. The way you explained the technique and demonstrated it step by step was very clear and easy to follow, making it a great resource for anyone interested in embroidery.
    I also appreciate that you provided tips on color selection and blending to achieve a realistic shading effect. Your attention to detail and expertise in embroidery really shines through in this tutorial.
    I have already subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your helpful embroidery tutorials. If you're interested, I also have a channel where I share my own embroidery projects and techniques.
    Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge with us, and keep up the great work!

    I never really liked embroidery or needle crafts even though I like sewing by hand. Now I know why. Too many people just don't really know how.( terrible work) I came across thread painting and was curious and I'm glad I found you. Incredible work you do! I am gonna do this for sure. I am self taught in crochet, Sewing, Knitting, Needle tatting. My question is how do you manage large pieces like 36inX36in or larger? My concern is the embroidery hoop "mashing " my finished work. (I'm a very quick learner and used to doing large projects they don't scare me.)

      @TrishBurrEmbroidery  3 года назад

      Because the work is so fine I tend to stitch smaller pieces - it takes a lot of work to fill a large design, months sometimes years. But you could try using two strands on a large piece this will not look as good but will fill the area quicker. Trish

    Hi, I'm new to embroidery, but I figured I'd try out this technique since your work is so beautiful. Can you tell me what type of thread you're using? I have cotton thread from DMC, which seems very common in the fabric shops near me, but one strand seems to be thinner than the thread you use. Thanks!

      oh wow, thanks! your tutorial page is just what i need. another question: what does the back of your work look like, or is that rude to ask? because my back is a jumbled mess!
