I'm having a 660-gallon plywood tank built in October and I'm weighing up 2x4s vs all 2x6s. Did the plywood tank use marine or regular 18mm plywood, and did you just use 2x4's? Is all of the wood used pressure treated? Your tank is a good reference for me but a shame I cannot get pond shield in the UK. Peacock bass smaller species are on my shopping list. Congrats on the beautiful fish.
Thank you, I used pressure treated regular 18mm plywood, with all pressure treated 2x4's. I know that you can fiber glass for the entire tank and waterproof it that way, but I imagine that would be a lot more work. They don't sell any other types of liquid rubber over there?

Thanks, it's not terrible housing right now, he still has about 5 inches or so on the width to turn around. But the way he's eating I'm anticipating a growth spurt and being dovii/jaguar he could potentially reach 17-18 inches

I have a technique where I throw in about 30 pellets and right after another 30. The bass go for the higher pellets first so it gives time for some to sink for the bichir
How far are you from Ohio Fish Rescue outside Cleveland? When the time comes maybe check into adding the big peacock to thier huge pool pond? They are getting so big! 👏👏🔥

I bought it at about 7" so that's 2 years plus about 5 years with me so I'd say 7 years old
