Beautiful Slovakia / Krasne Slovensko - Liptovská Teplička 2

A lovely, traditional village in the Low Tatra mountains with the High Tatras in the background. This village is special: it reminds us how we should all be living in harmony with nature and with traditional means. The spectacular scenery surrounds it wherever you look. It also has unusual storage vaults (or "hobbit holes") where goods such as potatoes are stored all year round. These are typically 3 metres deep but have tiny doors at the surface. The people regularly and eagerly go to church and the priest is a regular visitor to many homes in the parish.
