Know why BI has been getting fan haters? It's because he is good. It's the same thing when you are at school when you excel in something academics or extracurricular activities a lot of people would not like you. People were able to see how BI works he is young and talented, mature and he knows the weakness of his members and he helps his members excel nor just himself. BI is a Good team leader
I seriously have no idea why BI gets so much hate. I personally love him and Bobby from IKON and of course MINO and Hoon from Winner.
They hate B.I because YG is bias towards him and promotes him more. B.I is not the best in YG but gets more attention than Bobby and Mino who are better rappers. B.I is good but the other 2 r better.
Don't get me wrong B.I is one of my favourite but I agree with the 'haters'. He is good but always outshine Bobby and Mino cause YG is bias.
It's no surprise because YG is always bias towards the trainee he scouts himself like GD. Plus he is a good composer, best leader YG has we had and good at making the choreography for their dances.
You have to look at it from a neutral view. Why is someone who isn't the best rapper getting so much attention whereas the other 2 are just promoted normally?

I think BI has been training since before he reached puberty... before he was even 12 Y.o. Like GD. I get that he's style of rapping might not be on point as the others but he's a leader and has a lot on his plate. So he should gets respect for that.
I also get the he's YG's bias cuz he reminds him of GD at a young age. But that doesn't mean fans should hate on him.
If I were to choose my bias from WIN, I'd choose Bobby or MINO, but that doesn't take away from B.I in any way. I just hope that IKON, WINNER, Epik High, 2ne1, BigBang...etc fans don't continue to hate on him just cuz YG favors him and gets more attention than the others.

Also, YG doesn't touch any of epik highs stuff. They have the freedom to produce anything they want. If it wasn't for YG, they probably wouldn't be able to produce any music for a long time. YG gave them a place to make music and help them promote. he gives a lot of freedom to his artist, so anything epik high release is purely made by epik high. And I'm proud of anything they make because it's hard work and a lot of dedication. Their last album wasn't the best but at least they're trying to find their groove again.
Yeah that's why in B.I's part it's somethin like "On the stage are machine-like kids who all look the same, trying so hard, let me just say one thing, that’s no no" YG don't treat them like machines. that's why he's the best CEO for me lol.

For everyone HATING on the video or disliking Epik High's image with YG, ACTUALLY LISTEN to the song and its amazing & highly intricate wordplays before you diss it.
Tablo says "Dali Van Picasso," in reference to Beenzino's track, while Beenzino throws it back to Tablo & scorns the netizens who hide behind their "IPs & their IDs," especially as Tablo mentioned Tajinyo (those anons online who said his Stanford degree was fake) in his first verse.
People are saying that B.I. gets too many lines, but he's only singing the chorus and he gets a much shorter rap part than everyone else. For a rapper, that just kills - he doesn't get to show his rap skills & lyrics because he's already singing the hook, so in the end he gets the short end of the stick. Mino's flow is ridiculous and he incorporates SO MANY references in Korean that you need FOOTNOTES to reference them all.
There are so many other satirical jokes and references, such as Show Me the Money 3, BOM, E-Sen's hip hop diss battle, Masta Wu, Mithra's entire rap using words that allude to illness, Bobby's bullet-like style of rapping & Verbal Jint's sick rhymes...
Once Tablo creates the official English translation of this song, even all the HATERS (WHO THIS SONG IS FOR!!!!) will be stunned - because Epik High has once again shocked us with their eloquence. People who are JUDGING this track before they even COMPREHEND the meaning of the track have ignored this & obviously cannot understand the depth of this song.

Came straight away after listening to Tablos podcast where he told the story of how this almost never came to be. So I'm here watching it again & marveling at how magnificent this song really was. Also missing Hanbin hours & I hope he comes back to us 1 day cuz a fiery spirit like him deserves to make music openly. All in all I thank Epik High for including everyone they did in this song/video.

Okay, so after thinking a bit more on this, it's interesting to see the difference between the veteran and rookie rappers. If anything, I think the more experienced rappers (Tablo, Beenzino, Verbal Jint, and Mithra Jin) have more compelling lyrics and cleverer word plays. BI doesn't have much rap time so while I like his clever and cute rap, there's not much to evaluate. Mino and Bobby have a solid flow (personally I think Mino is better) but their lyrics are lacking the 'sophistication' of the formers'. (Dear haters- THIS IS NOT A BAD THING. I presume much of it comes with experience, and I am not saying that they are bad AT ALL. Just noting the differences.) Love all of it though. The mix between styles and voices is really refreshing and I can't stop listening.
Clarification: THE RAPS ARE FREAKING AMAZING. ALL OF THEM. I'm just saying that some are better than others, and that's freaking to be expected. We have guys here with more than 10 years of experience, and then others that have like 4. That's a huge difference.
Update: So scratch what I said above- Some of Mino's play on words are freaking genius. Gosh, it reminds me of nonsense quizzes. I'm so bad at those. I bet rappers are amazing at them ahahaha. Consider myself corrected. Still not going to give into the claims about netizens though. It really shows the difference in 'upbringing' of the rapper. Fascinating.
Not sure I agree with you about Mino's lyrics lacking sophistication- in fact, his witty and creative lyrics for this song garnered the most praise among K-netizens (he trended for hours on korean websites after born hater was released and most of the comments on born hater were about him). His 40 sec rap is jam-packed with wordplays and punchlines. I suggest looking up a translation of his lyrics with an explanation of all his punchlines (the WINNER website withwinner has a great translation)
questwitch I understand Korean perfectly fine, although I may have missed them- I'll do more research, thanks. Using netizens praising him as an actual rationale, however, only shows a lot of biased fans. Honestly a lot of them are really WINNER-crazy and that's the only reason some of them went to Born Hater which is really unfortunate -_-;; I'm sure you won't find nearly as many netizens praising the other rappers for their wordplay and such.
I do have mad respect for Mino, though. Crazy fan of his pre-YG mixtapes.
Airiria Most of the comments are not from WINNER fans though? As in a lot of them were asking who is Song Minho lol. Also, his song 'Olleri Golleri' and his sister Danah also trended so I gather that it's because a lot of people started looking him up after Born Hater.
questwitch So a quick search on Naver shows me the top results when I type in "송민호" are Song Minho Block B, Song Minho little sister, Song Minho Rap, then Song Minho Olleri Golleri. I did a search for "Song Minho Born Hater" and got a bunch of fangirls on the blog part, and the first news result was about his sister. Second result was about how the people who post negative comments are being calm. Next 3 were about Danah again.
So I did a search for "Epik High Born Hater" (In Korean of course)
First two results were repeats from the Mino search. Next result was about how Tablo talked about TaJinYo and how he called them "cute" and such.
Under the blog part of this search, the first result was lyrics, second result was another fan, who was talking about "not just epik high, but my loves beenzino, verbal jint, mino, bobby, and bi." Third result was just news from about how they're coming out with a new album.
So pretty inconclusive information. May I know where you got yours?

Wekll, in fact I love the fact there's idol rappers with "full-time" rappers together in one song, few people would think all could blend well but they did.
