Content is great, tips to make it better though: Instead of saying I don't know how good that is, i would recommend trying to say what you would be trying to do in the scenario. Like when he's missing the carbine shots, with the pressure getting on the bridge for height advantage making them easier to hit ETC. More advice on what you think would be better instead of live comentary on his actions. I can see his actions with my eyes :D Just a why what the person is doing could be better, and how you would change what he's doing to make it better. As i said though, love the content, keep it going ^.^
I loved this style of video, this is exactly what I want. I make most if not all of this players mistakes. Thanks! FIrst deadlock video I found like this.
feedernoob needs to lower their sensitivity and use more of their arm's range of motion while aiming. You can see they have high sensitivity and are micro moving the mouse. This is likely from their inexperience with shooters. (UNLESS this is an artifact of the match replay)
The template states like 2k hours in CS, which is less than their DOTA time which is why it sounds like they are new to shooters with how Schizug says it. Still very valuable advice as he is overshooting constantly, but they going to need to get over one hell of a bad habit if they need to reduce their sens across their games haha
@@Phillz91 Not so sure that template was the guy who send the recordings actual hours, The template brings up bebop a lot and there wasn't even a bebop in this game on either team.
Big fan of this content, and really like how positive you are in providing constructive criticism without being harsh. Most of us are learning, after all. It's a breath of fresh air to be learning a new game and seeing a cool new RUclipsr to follow along with. Keep it up!
Something I like to do on paradox is to open with the grenade, each pulse is a stacking damage amp which turns the heat up on the carbine-wall-swap combo, leaving enemies much weaker and easier to finish off
I hope you continue this series. I really want you to cover various game states throughout several matches. Just an average player stomping the enemy(because the enemy sucks). High level play fun. Low level play fun. Etc. Or maybe even matches, where the player starts off VERY strong, but then falls off later for whatever reason. Which is something i've been struggling with as everyone, except Shiv.
i'm seeing a lot of people going hard on melees but htey don't have the knowledge or moba timing to know if they are over extended to be meleeing, i'm punishing TONS of people because of it like this guy at the start, this game is ironic, you need moba knowledge to melee, adn shooter knowledge to hit orbs/deny. it's such a great deep game.
Yeah, the only time you should be crouching is to slide (with the possible exceptions of occasionally using it to line up a shot or hide from a chase, but both situations are EXTREMELY rare) For new players: crouching does NOT improve accuracy, and sneaking around quietly is NOT a thing outside of Veilwalker/Smoke Bomb/Shadow Weave (which are worse with crouching) If you are using the Crouch button for anything other than sliding you are probably using it wrong
@@isaac.farrell you can spam crouch to make yourself slightly harder to hit ig, or just to t-bag (which is psychological warfare and totally a viable tactic)
Another point is analyzing your duo partner. It was very apparent early on that feedernoob was playing with a super passive Pocket who wasn't really matching their energy, and also was down in souls. That should have been a sign of not to be so aggro and focus on the farm. Great series idea can't wait to see more.
I love this kind of content. Especially from you I feel like I learn a lot and you still make it fun, poking fun at times but always keeping it about improve habits and gameplay! Great stuff overall! Also would you consider a discord channel to submit match replays? Or should they all go here?
This is the type of content I was looking for. I feel like watching pros play doesn't really transfer well into becoming better, because your gameplay is going to look vastly different from theirs.
Great video! Two things that stuck out to me outside of what was touched on in the video was that 1) feedernoob was very restrictive in his zip boost usage, it didnt get mentioned but felt notable to me, he didnt lose much cs for it so maybe it was correct usage? 2) it felt like he didnt want to hit any of the boxes/urns for most of the game, that felt like wasted potential upgrades. Is it cause of the editting or is it not note worthy? Is it a trap to try get all boxes you can when close to one and not actively trading/cs'ing? Hope to see more of these well done! Edit: also to feeder, maybe consider abrams or something that is more in tine with the heavy melee bit if you enjoy that playstyle
Can relate to forgetting to use actives in fight. Got better at it by playing support (with Seven no less!), where I bought 4 actives and constantly reminded myself of the keybinds!
I play Paradox and her best attributes is distance and team fights! but also her underrated mobility, her kinetic gun is KEY and her ult is masterful in way to counter other ults.
i don't have a replay to give rn, but i'm hoping you'll do some reviews on vods to help with macro decision making (like what feedernoob was good at) - it's talked about a lot, but I still find tons of situations where I feel lost, being new to mobas. I know what I CAN do, but not what I SHOULD do or prioritize in a lot of situations.
Oh this is so good. Instant sub. I've never played any MOBA in my life, but play online shooters basically every day for like 20+ years. I've got like 50h in Deadlock but I mostly lose my lane in the first 10 minutes. Does it make a difference that I only play full stack? Are the enemies more likely to be full stack too? Do I not drag down the MMR of my group so we get easier enemies? Cuz it feels like I play against the greatest MOBA addicts that have ever lived, while I don't understand whats going on at all lol.
Match ID: 17153654 Hero: Pocket What Do You Think Went Wrong: I dont rly know, our team tried to coordiante but kept feeding to the Abrams and I wasnt able to carry or be there when it mattered I think. The Mid game was a big back and forth and at the end they won a big teamfight that snowballed into our defeat MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 / 140hrs deadlock Shooter Experience (hr + games): 2k+ / Counter Strike, OW (optional) Pronouns: she/her (optional) Other Notes: I want to understand how to play around my theammates mistakes better and get a better understanding of when Im too aggressive in teamfight, laning and chasing
Personally, I think if they want to play forward even as Paradox, just focus a bit more on vitality items. Goal in lane is ultimately soul secure and Guardian damage when possible, hero kills are just a bonus. Improving aim is always helpful. But you can make up for mediocre aim with good game sense, you can't do it the other way around (aim bot hackers being massacred prove that), not to mention that being closer makes aim easier, and damage falloff means weapons always do more damage when closer anyway, so health can be a dps buff if utilized properly. But I made a build that drops like 5 back to back goddamned walls, so being tanky so I can drop repeated silencing area denials just works with how I wanted to play her.
Match ID: 16901458 Hero: Bebop What Do You Think Went Wrong: Figuring out when to buy during lane (when its okay to let a wave go), Figuring out when and where and what the best things are to farm, Keeping the other team at a soul disadvantage, when to engage and how to better play around my teammates MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 / 100hrs deadlock Shooter Experience (hr + games): 10k+ / Counter Strike, COD, Squad, Splitgate (optional) Pronouns: he/him (optional) Other Notes: I was in private comms with Kelvin during the match who i was laning with, how should I consider working with a direct teammate as well as the greater team?
The general advice about knowing when to buy during lane is usually when your wave is under the enemy guardian. That way you can go back to your shop, buy items and by the time you return to lane, the trooper wave should be no further than mid-way between the two guardians. You don't want to leave the lane when the enemy wave is about to crash into your guardian. That's like a goalkeeper leaving their goal open for the enemy kick. 2:46 Right about here, Paradox should've went back to base, buy items and heal up and by the time she returns, she should be able to catch the wave before it hits her guardian
Great video! At what point do you recommend a player struggling to improve their fundamentals (in this case, dueling) to try out a more straight forward character?
One of my pet peeves in VOD reviews for any game is when you say an action or strategy is bad and then not show examples of what's good or a better alternative... For example you say the Paradox's positioning is bad.. okay well show us what good positioning looks like? It's hard to replicate for some things because enemy players can react in many different ways but still it'd be really nice to know and see examples of what good gameplay would look like. Even if it's just you using the camera to look around and be like "Look how much better this position would be" I think it'd be 100 times more helpful than just pointing out "this is bad"
Match ID: 17353787 Hero: Dynamo What Do You Think Went Wrong: Not much moba experience outside of this game so I feel like my understanding of macro can be better (which lanes to push/defend, when/where to farm) Deadlock Experience (hrs): 100hrs MOBA Experience (hrs + games):
I'm a beginner myself and I thought feedernoob did too few camps, any thoughts on that? I tend to look for potential farm on the map when I shove out a wave, so usually taking a rotation through boxes / camps rather than waiting for the next wave
Match ID: 17416458 Hero: Wraith What Do You Think Went Wrong: Figuring out when to farm and when to join teamfights. I often get stuck between trying to help teammates or farming when im behind in souls. MOBA experience: 60hrs deadlock Shooter experience: 1.5k csgo Other notes: How do you think our team turned the match around? Did they throw or did someone on our team make a play? We came back from a 20k soul deficit. Pronouns: he/him
I don't have too much time to play Deadlock so I just feel like I suffer on just basic gamesense sometimes. Idk if I should feel this way but it's like I'm almost missing out.
Match ID: 17307503 Hero: Lady Geist What Do You Think Went Wrong: Took a lot of trooper dmg and unnecessary deaths in lane. Came back with good mid game farm (up 20k souls) but lost some key late game fights that ended up losing us the game (I made a few big mistakes) Deadlock Experience (hrs): 166hrs MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0hrs pre deadlock Shooter Experience (hr + games): 1500hrs rainbow 6, few hundred on overwatch and valorant (optional) Pronouns: he/him/his (optional) Other Notes: I am in a 5 stack in this game with everyone except the abrams, so we have a lot of coordination (in theory) and I would be happy to hear any critiques on our team play as well P.S. Thank you for your positive outlook! I hadn't played any mobas before deadlock because I was kind of scared away by the negative atmosphere associated with them, but you have been building a positive community and I appreciate that :)
Match ID: 17769352 Hero: Haze What Do You Think Went Wrong: Lost lane against Shiv, bad cross-team comms when it came to pushing/defending, lack of ideas on what to do next Deadlock Experience (hrs): 100+ MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 Shooter Experience (hr + games): 2228+ Other Notes: I would love to hear what could be done in these types of games, usually I can drop 15-24 kills, but at matches like this it feels impossible to play. What I personally could have done better? could I somehow carry this game to victory? It would be interesting to see you reviewing a losing game instead of a winning one. Potentially interesting points: How to counter Shiv/other strong solo laner as a Haze/Infernus/other weak laner (Itemizing/strategy) What to do if enemy has very fed dude (7-10k+ sould diff)
Match ID: 19453250 Hero: Lash What Do You Think Went Wrong: Was destroying at first, then I fell off from about half way, farming like noob, getting GANKED. Match was a huge gank war around 40m mark and I got pretty caught up in it throwing myself away Deadlock Experience (hrs): 45hrs/50 matches MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 1 or 2 LOL games and 1 dota uninstall Shooter Experience (hr + games): 1k in csgo, 1k+ tarkov, 3k cod & battlefield
Match ID: 17346926 (Win) Hero: Infernus What Do You Think Went Wrong: Bad positioning and over extending/hyper focusing on objectives. My lack of experience with the genre I think adds to this. I tend to struggle with securing kills in every game I play, not just this one, even if I usually end up even on kills to deaths, and high on assists. MOBA Experience (hrs + games): No Experience - 69 Hours on Deadlock Shooter Experience (hr + games): 400 Hours TF2 - 400 Hours Overwatch - Negligible CS:GO Time
Match ID: 17167630 Hero: Vindicta What Do You Think Went Wrong: I think my early game/ laning phase was a bit iffy and couldn't really do as much as I was hoping for, I started doing better after 10-12 minutes of the game but things slowed down towards the end, i was struggling to survive and really couldn't help a lot in team fights. MOBA Experience (hrs + games): LOL - Close to maybe 1k hrs Shooter Experience (hrs + games): CSGO/CS2 - Over 2k+ hrs, I've also played a variety of other shooters and have done aim training in the past. (optional) Other Notes: I bought Ethereal shift pretty late into the game and i don't fully understand how to utilize it well. (optional) Pronouns: He/Him
Match ID: 19662949 Hero: Viscous What Do You Think Went Wrong: Lack of Moba knowledge which didnt let me capitalize my advantage, since I was leading souls for nearly all game. Deadlock Experience (hrs): 30 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 25 League Shooter Experience (hr + games): 5k combined: Val, OW, Apex
Match ID: 31129051 Hero: Paradox What Do You Think Went Wrong: I'm not so sure. I farmed a lot and had a couple of really bad deaths but I overall thought I played well! MOBA Experience: 151 hours in Deadlock, and that's it. I've played 110 games. Shooter Experience: Probably over 10000 hours in total. TF2, Destiny and Overwatch are my most played shooters. Rank: Arcanist 1 Pronouns: she/her Other Notes: I'm really trying to climb out of Arcanist right now, and I'm kinda a Paradox one-trick. I play some Geist, Dynamo, and Infernus, but basically no other heroes. Do you think I should branch out a bit? Also, I'm looking for itemizing tips.
Match ID: 17395625 Hero: Abrams What Do You Think Went Wrong: I do fine solo-lane but I feel I lose complete control of the pace of the match in duo lanes with randoms. Deadlock Experience (hrs):21 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 1800hrs in DotA2; 1000+ in others (League/Smite/etc) Shooter Experience (hr + games): 5000+hrs (CS; Valorant; Escape From Tarkov; Overwatch; Paladins; other non-competitive shooters) (optional) Pronouns: he/him (optional) Other Notes: I feel I sort of 'get it' but don't at the same time.
Match ID: 25047525 Hero: Vindicta What Do You Think Went Wrong: Game was a win but pushed out to 58 minutes and needed 3 separate reju defenses to accomplish Deadlock Experience (hrs): 83 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 15 in LoL and less than 10 in Smite Shooter Experience (hr + games): 1,400 in Tarkov and another 1,000 in various titles. No CS or Overwatch (optional) Pronouns: He (optional) Other Notes: I felt like I had a good match overall with rotations and keeping up lane pressure but we were always on the back foot and were points in the game where it wasn't obvious where to focus on
Match ID: 17230194 (win)(this was played first) Match ID: 17494062 (loss)(so technically I should have improved by here) Hero: Vincidicta MOBA exp: Very little Shooter exp: quite a lot RTS exp: Infinite What I am interested in is: A: How to carry harder? B: I am worth twice as much as my teammates, but the whole team is still even with the opponent. How can I help my teammates suck less? C: Are there any macro decisions/strategies that I am unaware of but should be aware of (to carry pubs harder)? There are many small things, like not doing the stair slide shooting thing perfectly, these things will come with time. But is there a mistake or bad mechanic that is so crucial it effects macro in a meaningful way? Something you would say, you can never carry a game if you don't improve on this? (Something like "oh if you could do the stair sliding thing you could dominate your lane 5x and then go win 2 other lanes too" which snowballs.) Spoiler: Should have backed off, of that Midboss in game 2, but hey, it was still kinda even, even after that. Oh and preferable would be a kind of instructions list on what needs to be done, with as much detail as possible and explanations why that is the right thing to do and any alternatives you can think of are not it.
If you're up that many souls because you were stealing from other lanes you're the one who sucks. Sometimes it's about the big picture. Considering the amount of times you mention carrying it's pretty clear teamplay isn't your main focus.
Match ID: 24780822 Hero: Paradox What Do You Think Went Wrong: I, as well as my team, started pretty well, but the game went on for a long time, and seemingly, we kept taking bad fights late game, and didn't keep up with the farm. I especially feel my own fault in this loss, since after a certain moment in time i stopped making kills completely and just kept dying very unfortunately Deadlock Experience (hrs): 50 hours. MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 100 hours total ; (mostly) League of Legends, Dota 2 Shooter Experience (hr + games): ~5000 hours total ; CS:GO, Apex Legends, Paladins, Valorant, as well as many others i've spent not a very long time playing. (optional) Pronouns: she/her (optional) Other Notes: Even though this is a pretty embarasing loss, i think this might be a good case study on late-game phase, because i feel like everything that could've went wrong - did, and therefore can be used as a prime example of what not to do. PS: This is a replay of my fist ever ranked game :P
Match ID: 18852153 Hero: Pocket What Do You Think Went Wrong: I got ult'd by dynamo quite a bit. I think I should have done a better job keeping track of when his ult was up, or just been in better position. Deadlock Experience (hrs): 130 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): never played a moba before Shooter Experience (hr + games): I haven't played any shooters since CoD on ps3, and that was on controller. (optional) Other Notes: Theres alot of times when I'm not really sure what im supposed to do. My movement is also bad, and I'm not good at conserving stamina for fights.
Match ID: 18445538 Hero: Seven What Do You Think Went Wrong: I fed super hard the entire game and was unable to catch up while helping the rest of the team, not knowing when I'm almost dead or should pressure my opponents Deadlock Experience (hrs): 92 hours MOBA Experience (hrs + games): too many hours League of Legends, 400 hours DOTA 2 Shooter Experience (hr + games): 72 hours COD (played with PS4 pad) (optional) Pronouns: He/Him (optional) Other Notes: How should I be coordinating with my lane partner to play a better laning phase?
This player's refusal to buy in lane once they get enough souls to pick up a T1 or even T2 item is boggling my mind. They give you lane shops for a reason! Their farm is practically immaculate, spend that money and get a power spike!
Match ID: 17637879 Hero: Lash What Do You Think Went Wrong: Don't know how to impact late game Deadlock Experience (hrs): 100 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 2,300, Dota 2 Shooter Experience (hr + games): 5,000+, TF2, CoD, Battlefield, PUBG, etc Other Notes: I've been playing Lash for 6 games straight so far. All of them losses. Half my games I have a good lane phase, half I do not. Don't understand where I should be impacting to help my team.
Match ID: 17529526 Hero: Paradox What Do You Think Went Wrong: I consistantly have trouble ending games, my early to mid game is fairly strong i think but there is something i wish i could tangibly work on to get wins Deadlock Experience (hrs):283 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 1000+ (LOL, little smite) Shooter Experience (hr + games): 5000+ (very experience with tf2, csgo and a bunch of other shooters) (optional) Pronouns:he/him (optional) Other Notes: paradox is my super main, i do belive that a fair amount of players would learn a bit from my gameplay but i want to get better at my macro
Match ID: 24239459 Hero: Mo & Krill What Do You Think Went Wrong: Fed myself too much because others wouldn't clear offlanes. didn't push our advantages enough. I think there was a moment endgame we had patron to 5% and I was clearing lanes and I didn't notice till too late and fed after it fullhealed and lost game Deadlock Experience (hrs): about 100 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): I played HotS since release since it was casual. made plat. tried LoL and Dota and didn't like it. Shooter Experience (hr + games): I fell off after MW2 and haven't kept up. was trash at apex and other games as it felt like I never did enough dmg to secure kills. (optional) Pronouns: He/Him (optional) Other Notes: I was top almost every stat (71k dmg!) but still lost because of teammates//bad macro decisions. I think this showcases my micro strengths and exposes my macro weaknesses - but I don't know what the 'correct' or 'better' decisions are. EDIT: at 43 minutes into the game I think I had a visual glitch or misunderstanding. I saw "patron: weakened" and the hp at like 15%. I thought my team was getting dmg while I took camp and rushed in, then suddenly when I got close the hp bar was full. I thought it activated a heal and it healed all at once, and panicked. I think this caused me to throw the game.
Match ID: 17558166 Hero: Infernus What Do You Think Went Wrong: We one the game, but I lost lane. Didn't feel as useful to the team as I think I should've. Maybe need to work on my obj focus, and sense. Deadlock Experience (hrs): 40 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 250 in LOL Shooter Experience (hr + games): 1000's, Squad, COD, CSGO
im almost certain the melees are because of watching mikaels play. he does heavy melees a lot during close range fights (or at least he did idk if he still does) and playing around paradox's melees can be pretty beneficial. but this guy is doing wayyyyy too many and in very unsafe positions
Match ID: 17229230 Hero: McGinnis What Do You Think Went Wrong: I really struggled to deal with lash's aggression early on (especially his ult), and after a couple of irritating deaths to him in lane and abrams a bit later, I couldn't get myself back into the game. I never really felt like I understood what was happening on the map or how I could have an impact, and I felt like I was constantly in unwinnable situations Deadlock experience: 50hrs MOBA Experience (hrs + games): my friend talks to me about league esports drama sometimes Shooter Experience (hr + games): 7.5k across all cs games, but since 2019 the overwhelming majority of my time has been on surf or random community servers (optional) Pronouns: she/her (optional) Other Notes: i suspect that a lot of my issues come from being really bad at adapting to situations. I'm not great at thinking through what items I buy, and I usually buy the same things every game
would you accept a vod that i farmed kills and performed well but still lost, im stuck in elo hell, mvp every single game but have an atrocious %38wr on yamato (main) most coaches didnt accept :(
Match ID: 25407997 Hero: Wraith What Do You Think Went Wrong: A LOT OF THINGS. Most of the issues for me came from the farming phase, not getting enough souls and not picking the right upgrades. MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 (only watched Dota but never played it) Shooter Experience (hr + games): 2000+ (Various games) (optional) Pronouns: he/they (optional) Other Notes: This is my first game playing wraith in open queue. Just to let you know, this one is gonna be a pretty tough watch
Match ID: 18768075 Hero: Grey talon What Do You Think Went Wrong: I keep winning or tieing with my lane opponent and consistently have either the highest assists, damage, or assists but seem to lose matches regardless of my lead. Please tell me what I can do to help my team secure the win. Thanks! Deadlock Experience (hrs): 97.2 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 60 hrs League of Legends Shooter Experience (hr + games): 10k+ on various games battlefield, R6, COD, Hunt Showdown, Tarkov, Helldivers
Match ID: 17608787 Hero: Mirage What Do You Think Went Wrong: I think I could have avoided a lot of deaths in mid and late game and maybe I should have played better with my team Deadlock Experience (hrs): 90H MOBA Experience (hrs + games): lol around 10 hours, Hots around 40 hours. Shooter Experience (hr + games): 20k+, Cs:s, Cs:go, Apex, Valorant, Tf2, etc (optional) Pronouns: he/him (optional) Other Notes: My game crashed at one point where i was farming.
Match ID: 19659332 Hero: Ivy What Do You Think Went Wrong: it's so hard not to just say "uncarryable team." I tend to have bad positioning and take fights I shouldn't, and just like FeederNoob I tend to forget to use item actives until I'm in hardcore panic mode. But genuinely it felt like my main issue in this replay was having no flex slots and because of that I wasn't able to make big changes to my build once it became clear how far behind my team was. I was still super farmed up and pentakilling, so maybe I just needed to group with them and take the bad fights they wanted to take? The main reason I'm submitting this *particular* match ID is because I want to know if/what I could have done to turn things around. Deadlock Experience (hrs): 40+ hours MOBA Experience (hrs + games): Apparently I've put 1500 hours into League since 2018. Peaked at silver tho lmao. Shooter Experience (hr + games): Probably thousands of hours across Apex Legends, Team Fortress 2, and Overwatch, and hundreds split across plenty more. (optional) Pronouns: she/her (optional) Other Notes: ignore my steam name, just call me Youkai Girl lol
I think you should put more emphasis on the macro rather than micro. Feedernoob could have midmaxxed his abilities better at several teamfights, sure, but those teamfights were very unfavorable to him. Commenting on the teamfight at 22:16 is largely irrelevant I think but it should never have had happened in that way. Either he takes walker and runs away or he defends the urn and expects a teamfight. The option he chose was just very wrong and shows that he needs to be more aware of the minimap. Your current style of commentary puts equal emphasis on both the micro and macro when I think focusing on just macro would've been much better for this player.
Except Deadlock has more micro going on than all of the popular MOBAs combined, and Paradox is maybe the most aim dependent hero right now. So I’d say the micro is warranted.
I agree and want to dive deeper into macro going forward. Building experience with each vid and I'll find a new way to to record so I focus on it. Thank you for the feedback :)
Match ID: 17484609 Hero: Vindicta What Do You Think Went Wrong: I have absolutely zero understanding of MOBA macro I've never played a MOBA in my life, I also am pretty sure I didn't touch a jungle camp like all game Deadlock Experience (hrs): 140hrs MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 (any) Shooter Experience (hr + games): 10k hours OW/OW2 700hrs Val Pronouns: she/her Other Notes: I feel I really struggle early game in the laning phase
Match ID: 19091743 Hero: Vindicta What Do You Think Went Wrong: I am bad at choosing when and when not to agress. I die early multiple times in laning phase and seem to die first in team fights. Pretty sure both stem from bad positioning. Deadlock Experience (hrs):95 MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 Shooter Experience (hr + games): 5500ish. 3000 in Csgo, 2000 in Rainbow 6,COD,Apex (optional) Other Notes: Any itemization tips are hepfull I just used the best build I could find Thank you!
Great video. I think there's a little psychology going on here. If the player is a moba fan but not big into shooters, they should focus on what they know from mobas. For me, I'm more into shooters and less into mobas, which made my first couple games look like this. Eventually i realized that items cause huge discrepancies in power in many ways, and getting behind often means you should try to STOP taking fights, in favor of farming. This is much different from most shooters, and i would find myself trying to sneak around and get picks that just weren't going to happen Since then, I've remembered many of the things i learned in league of legends way back when, and it's starting to come together pretty nicely. Essentially, this is a moba first and shooter second, at least for the majority of available characters. As a shooter main, you'll often need to play more passively than you're used to, and as a moba main, you'll need to play more aggressively, in general. The way i see it now, after 50 or so hours, it's kind of like 2/3 moba playstyle, 1/3 hero shooter playstyle. I wish i understood things well enough to specifically address the different skills from each that one should practice, but I'm still pretty new myself
Match ID: 16556647 Hero: Kelvin What do u think went wrong: I feel like my timing to joining team fights vs push lanes are not good also, I don't think I had an answer for the Haze/ Seven in late game. I had some idea in terms of items but, may be wrong on that. Aim not good either lol. Moba Exp: Awesomenauts? (I miss this game) 1k hours Shooter Exp: Apex Console 500 hours Other Note: I don't really play mnk much so my aim isn't the best.
Match ID: 17612015 Hero: Haze What Do You Think Went Wrong: I'm the one who gets a head on my team, but I'm a support main in league and most other games so I was pretty clueless on what i was supposed to do to actually carry Deadlock Experience (hrs): 13 hours MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 2,834 hours in league of legends Shooter Experience (hr + games): 3,000+ hours but all of its from like 5~7 years ago (optional) Pronouns: they/them (optional) Other Notes: i was duo on call with the mcguiness who's new to mobas so i was trying to give him pointers most of the game (he was ignoring me like all good duos) so help for him would be very appreciated! also the enemy seven seemed really fast which idk if its normal for seven but funny either way
hell yeah i commented that you should do replay reviews and you did. love to see someone actually taking recommendations! love the content keep it up
Bro thinks it's because of him💀
@@xsfanberscretcer92 I joined his stream and he confirmed it matter a fact. 💀
I feel like feedernoob wants to play Abrams, all that close quarters and melee
didn't even know how to charge melee lmao

Instead of saying I don't know how good that is, i would recommend trying to say what you would be trying to do in the scenario.
Like when he's missing the carbine shots, with the pressure getting on the bridge for height advantage making them easier to hit ETC.
More advice on what you think would be better instead of live comentary on his actions. I can see his actions with my eyes :D
Just a why what the person is doing could be better, and how you would change what he's doing to make it better.
As i said though, love the content, keep it going ^.^

Was looking for this kind of reviews. Great format, please keep it up!
feedernoob needs to lower their sensitivity and use more of their arm's range of motion while aiming. You can see they have high sensitivity and are micro moving the mouse. This is likely from their inexperience with shooters. (UNLESS this is an artifact of the match replay)
He has 3.5k hours on shooters
@@ArkbladeIX hm?
The template states like 2k hours in CS, which is less than their DOTA time which is why it sounds like they are new to shooters with how Schizug says it. Still very valuable advice as he is overshooting constantly, but they going to need to get over one hell of a bad habit if they need to reduce their sens across their games haha
@@Phillz91 Not so sure that template was the guy who send the recordings actual hours, The template brings up bebop a lot and there wasn't even a bebop in this game on either team.

This is very cool! I love this vod review sort of stuff - I feel like it is a great way to take theoretical knowledge and apply it in a practical way.
Big fan of this content, and really like how positive you are in providing constructive criticism without being harsh. Most of us are learning, after all. It's a breath of fresh air to be learning a new game and seeing a cool new RUclipsr to follow along with. Keep it up!
your explanations are super intuitive. definitely the best breakdowns ive seen for deadlock so far
Something I like to do on paradox is to open with the grenade, each pulse is a stacking damage amp which turns the heat up on the carbine-wall-swap combo, leaving enemies much weaker and easier to finish off
This kind of content is beautiful. I think you should make a playlist of analysis like these.
Which is something i've been struggling with as everyone, except Shiv.
i love this format! more plees! i'll send you one of my match IDs.
Awesome video as always! Leaving a comment for the algo, haha! Keep the videos coming, they are pretty knowledgeable!
i'm seeing a lot of people going hard on melees but htey don't have the knowledge or moba timing to know if they are over extended to be meleeing, i'm punishing TONS of people because of it like this guy at the start, this game is ironic, you need moba knowledge to melee, adn shooter knowledge to hit orbs/deny. it's such a great deep game.
This dude crouched more this game than i have total in 100 hours 😂
Yeah, the only time you should be crouching is to slide (with the possible exceptions of occasionally using it to line up a shot or hide from a chase, but both situations are EXTREMELY rare)
For new players: crouching does NOT improve accuracy, and sneaking around quietly is NOT a thing outside of Veilwalker/Smoke Bomb/Shadow Weave (which are worse with crouching)
If you are using the Crouch button for anything other than sliding you are probably using it wrong
Good series idea. Keep them coming!
I love this kind of content. Especially from you I feel like I learn a lot and you still make it fun, poking fun at times but always keeping it about improve habits and gameplay! Great stuff overall! Also would you consider a discord channel to submit match replays? Or should they all go here?

Schizug! Love your content and this type of video. Keep awesome awesome work!
If Schizug becomes a content farmer, I will become a content feeder
Great vid!

Learn from the mistakes is great idea!!!

More of these please!

1:50 "feedernoob might have some aim issues" then proceeds to omega wiff 2 bursts. This is fucking comedy

A: How to carry harder?
B: I am worth twice as much as my teammates, but the whole team is still even with the opponent. How can I help my teammates suck less?
C: Are there any macro decisions/strategies that I am unaware of but should be aware of (to carry pubs harder)?
There are many small things, like not doing the stair slide shooting thing perfectly, these things will come with time.
But is there a mistake or bad mechanic that is so crucial it effects macro in a meaningful way? Something you would say, you can never carry a game if you don't improve on this?
(Something like "oh if you could do the stair sliding thing you could dominate your lane 5x and then go win 2 other lanes too" which snowballs.)
Spoiler: Should have backed off, of that Midboss in game 2, but hey, it was still kinda even, even after that.
Oh and preferable would be a kind of instructions list on what needs to be done,
with as much detail as possible and
explanations why that is the right thing to do and any alternatives you can think of are not it.
If you're up that many souls because you were stealing from other lanes you're the one who sucks. Sometimes it's about the big picture. Considering the amount of times you mention carrying it's pretty clear teamplay isn't your main focus.

I was still super farmed up and pentakilling, so maybe I just needed to group with them and take the bad fights they wanted to take? The main reason I'm submitting this *particular* match ID is because I want to know if/what I could have done to turn things around.
Deadlock Experience (hrs): 40+ hours
MOBA Experience (hrs + games): Apparently I've put 1500 hours into League since 2018. Peaked at silver tho lmao.
Shooter Experience (hr + games): Probably thousands of hours across Apex Legends, Team Fortress 2, and Overwatch, and hundreds split across plenty more.

(optional) Other Notes: ignore my steam name, just call me Youkai Girl lol

Hero: Vindicta
What Do You Think Went Wrong: I have absolutely zero understanding of MOBA macro I've never played a MOBA in my life, I also am pretty sure I didn't touch a jungle camp like all game
Deadlock Experience (hrs): 140hrs
MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0 (any)
Shooter Experience (hr + games): 10k hours OW/OW2 700hrs Val
Pronouns: she/her
Other Notes: I feel I really struggle early game in the laning phase
Match ID: 19091743
Hero: Vindicta
What Do You Think Went Wrong: I am bad at choosing when and when not to agress. I die early multiple times in laning phase and seem to die first in team fights. Pretty sure both stem from bad positioning.
Deadlock Experience (hrs):95
MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 0
Shooter Experience (hr + games): 5500ish. 3000 in Csgo, 2000 in Rainbow 6,COD,Apex
(optional) Other Notes: Any itemization tips are hepfull I just used the best build I could find Thank you!
METAAL SKIIIN!!!
This is much different from most shooters, and i would find myself trying to sneak around and get picks that just weren't going to happen
Since then, I've remembered many of the things i learned in league of legends way back when, and it's starting to come together pretty nicely.

Hero: Kelvin
What do u think went wrong: I feel like my timing to joining team fights vs push lanes are not good also, I don't think I had an answer for the Haze/ Seven in late game. I had some idea in terms of items but, may be wrong on that. Aim not good either lol.
Moba Exp: Awesomenauts? (I miss this game) 1k hours
Shooter Exp: Apex Console 500 hours
Other Note: I don't really play mnk much so my aim isn't the best.
Match ID: 17612015
Hero: Haze
What Do You Think Went Wrong: I'm the one who gets a head on my team, but I'm a support main in league and most other games so I was pretty clueless on what i was supposed to do to actually carry
Deadlock Experience (hrs): 13 hours
MOBA Experience (hrs + games): 2,834 hours in league of legends
Shooter Experience (hr + games): 3,000+ hours but all of its from like 5~7 years ago
(optional) Pronouns: they/them
(optional) Other Notes: i was duo on call with the mcguiness who's new to mobas so i was trying to give him pointers most of the game (he was ignoring me like all good duos) so help for him would be very appreciated! also the enemy seven seemed really fast which idk if its normal for seven but funny either way
