Super great ideas here, thank you Jennifer! FYI, you can use a hot laminating pouch, just stick a piece of copy paper under your card, you can use both sides of the pouch with the copy paper in between so you don't waste. After laminating just trim all the way to the edge of your cards and the paper and other side of the pouch will just peel away giving a perfect sealer on just the top side. I learned this by watching Ann Melvin, positively papercraft, she's the queen of laminating. I've tried it and it works great. She says to use 2 pieces of copy paper but one works fine but 2 is good too because of trimming different sizes of things on both sides of the pouch. This is great for laminating ephemera and stuff like that too, I put a dab of removable runner on e little pieces o keep them in place so they don't shift while loading into the laminator, works a treat! I even made her cute little pursey-pouch she showed. You people are geniuses!
Hi, Jennifer! It’s been so long, since I’ve gotten to enjoy one of your wonderful videos. Thank you so much for sharing this post card idea! I think it’s great. I’ve not been able to do any cards or other crafts for about 4 years. I kept all of my things and really hope to get started again this summer. Post cards are something I always wanted to do. Can’t wait to try them . Love the self sticking laminate sheets too. You always inspired me and I appreciate your talents and your kind disposition. Will be watching … ❤
Distress Microglaze or artist cold wax would also be good. Seals the work against water. Just dont use it on the back because it will not take writing well or the cancelling stamp of the post office. Great idea for making our own postcards! Thanks for sharing! I always enjoy your videos so much!
Jennifer thanks for this "outside of the box [card]" idea! I love the CCC stamp sets and these are perfect combinations of stamps/sentiments! Thank you for your teaching tips and tricks AND for all the inspiration :)
Great ideas! I have been making and sending post cards for months. They are so fun and quick to make! I use 140lb watercolor paper. It is the perfect thickness and you don't have to double up. After stenciling, stamping and coloring I then add Nuvo drops or Glossy Accents to add dimension and pop to the cards. Post cards are a great way to lift the spirits of someone in need.
Very cute! I have a couple of different stamps that say “postcard”. I’ve made many postcards. Another fun use for them is for a journaling card to put in your journals.
Thank you Jennifer for showing us different ways to use what we have in our stash(es). Also thank you Lila for helping your Mom, you did a wonderful job. (sorry if I misspelled your name).
A long time ago I V owned a wooden stamp that was the back of postcards. So great to c see this. And more ideas to come with those lamination sheets. Yay! Great video.
I love this! I was just thinking about trying a Post Card to send to my friend and here you sent a free download. Thank you, greatly appreciated! Love all your Post Cards and I was also thinking of adding clear adhesive to the front as well for protection, great minds think alike....lol
I loved the images on the postcards and thought they were very commercial. You may know that philately is the study and collecting of stamps. But did you know that an even bigger hobby is the study and collecting of postcards. It's called deltiology, and its collected by subject or geography, some even collect for the social history on the reverse. Old postcards sell for pennies to telephone numbers, dependant on condition and image. Never cover the stamp with a lamination it will be rejected as not stamped by the postal service.
How odd! Is it mandatory in the state's to use that lines and such at the back of the card? I'm Swedish and here it's no rules or something. When I want to post a card or photo or whatever it just requires the adress on the right lower side and a valid stamp in the right upper corner. Others there's no rules. So to me it's only to make a white back and write adress on such and ofc the message and post it! And i looooove the drawings on the stamps!!! It's almost Beatrice Potter images. Love em! Thanks for a great video! Hugs from Sweden

What a GREAT trick with the packing tape! I messed up a card the other day because my ink smeared off my Masking Magic. This is so awesome!

A nice change from the average card.
