For DI or DO I see it's possible because there are only one type of plc connection point: DI or DO. For differents PLC manufacturer (Siemens, Omron or Allen Bradley), DI or DO are OK. But for analogs I/O or safe I/O there are more types of PLC connection point for each chanel (PLC+, PLC-, PLC PE, etc...). Moreover, each manufacturer are different PLC point connection for this type of I/O. It could be possible to do this for the Analog I/O and Safe I/O?
