    I have a few and also Ali express have a small digital level for about $20 as well
    Definitely helps with calibrating the eyes and brain vs guess work for slope

  • @gilesbrinkman9798
    @gilesbrinkman9798 Год назад +30

    Only problem is that you need to take level readings all the way along your putts as it only tells you what slope you’re on where you’re ball is, if it is a double breaker for instance you’d miss it. It’s a spirit level at the end of the day and does what it is designed for

      To train your eye, you can walk closer to the hole and see what the slope is there to see if there is a double break, etc Pretty simple!

    it is not intended to be use for a ball marker because of the thickness. what makes a good ball marker are those colored magic markers at bingo. don't get the permanent ink. your golf course will look like a polka dot chinese checker board.

    Just Use the level on your iPhone .Lay the phone on the green and a precise digital readout gives you the exact amount of slope degrees . Lay it on the intended line ,.
    I find it useful on downhill putts about a foot or two from the hole for late breaks on slow moving putts. (Practice only of course) 😉

  • @D1CE579
    @D1CE579 Год назад +1

    Good trading aid .. could never really use it on course, playing partners would be saying he’s cheating using a spirit bubble,especially if your dropping it 2/3 times along the line of a putt in say 30 footers.Definitely a good addition for practicing Aimpoint if you’ve done it.Looks like it even gives you degree of slope as well

    Loved the video and all i can say about greens are, the average cannot make the same putt twice in a row.
    Ive just decided that the best thing i can do is choose one way to read putts that best for me, and just trust in it. Work hard on consistency and just GO. Kinda the same way I feel on approach shots by trying to get them with a certain distance to the pin, everytime.
    Lee Trevino said Nicklaus was so good because of his ability to knock down putts from 15 feet inward, and that released him from worrying about hitting into greens. "If you can become deadly at sinking putts from 12 ft in, you tend to get your approach shots closer without thinking about it."

    • @sirtogii5216
      @sirtogii5216 Год назад +1

      Nobody is deadly sinking putts from 12 ft... Tour pro's on average sink just over 20% putts from 15 feet. Anomaly years like the one Spieth had a few years ago are anomalies, not due to some kind of magic skill. And that's the best players in the world spending their life on it. The rest of us should just make sure we minimise the 3-putts by getting comfortable on speed reading.
