- Such great results from a simple combo put together by STG Motorsports and Tuning by Shane Hinds. STG hooked this SS up with an LSA supercharger on 11.5 psi, a custom cam, ID850 injectors, Alky Control Meth Kit, and a ZL1 converter and Shane Hinds took care of the calibration to bring it all together. THis car has gone a best of 10.5 @ 136 so far! Who needs a CTS-V?

I can't decide which method is better.
is tuning the truck engine to 650hp is better than swapping to LT4 Corvette engine?
PS: the truck is 2015 6.2L Silverado
+HD13POWER It would definitely be cheaper. Don't even know what an LT4 crate motor would cost, 15K-20K, and one out of a Z06 wouldn't be cheap either. A positive displacement blower setup would be about 6k-7k.
RSChris666 Yeah, I know about the cost difference. How about a daily use and reliability of factory powered engine? would it makes a difference? I saw LT4 engine on ebay 200 miles and for 18k range.
I'm not a fan of loud engine sounds and insane tunes. just wants a serious horsepower for a sleeper setup.
+HD13POWER Of course the LT4 is going to be more reliable at higher power levels...its built for boost and has way better parts.
look up the specs to the Corvette and your engine there not much different

Brother all holden V8s dont have a supercharger. The only holden V8 that has a LSA setup is the VF HSV GTS. Some older models have a supercharger but very rare or customized. You must be talking about a complete different car.
