Thank you for watching this extended cut! We hope you liked the underwater shots. 🐠 Who have we convinced to go diving now?? 🧡 If you liked the video, you would help us greatly if you subscribed. Curious about tropical islands in Japan? Well, we uploaded videos on Okinawa, if you're curious: ruclips.net/video/Bh_yi09IliA/видео.html
Thank you for spreading awareness about climate change and coral reef degradation! Corals play such a vital role in the ocean ecosystem. ❤ loved following your underwater adventure!
Worst thing you can with a water damaged electronic device, getting it into a sack or bowl of rice. Beter to rinse it with fresh water and let it air dry without the battery. If it's corroded just leave it be until you get back home and than rinse it thoroughly with IPA, let it air dry again. Crashed serval (diy) drones over water and this method has been to most succesfull for me 😅 Beside that, lovely snorkeling and diving. Next week we travel to Ko Tao to hopefully get our open water diving certifacte and make some nice content ad well with our GoPro 😊
At home I would’ve used Isopropanol too, but here we could only find colored Ethanol 70% and I wasn’t sure if that’s good enough. And since the GoPro can be replaced I tried that :D it did eventually work again but was water damaged I returned it. The new GoPro also constantly overheats. So I’m probably gonna look for other options in the future. Did you bring your FPV drone? We’re currently in Koh Phangan again!
@marola_ali fair enough 🙂 I've bought a Divevolk Seatouch to replace my GoPro for underwater photos. Was never really impressed with GoPro photo's and we rarely make video's underwater. Gonna test it for the first time this holiday. No, I don't bring my fpv gear to Thailand, just a DJI Mini 4. The FPV gear takes to much space. We stay for a month in Thailand so carrying all the spare parts and lipo's around Thailand is to much of a hassle 😅
Super curious about the dive housing. I’ve been thinking of a DJI action cam since they have automatic color grading too (which is something we want to get into anyways) I bet thai islands are amazing via FPV drones :D but carrying too much is also annoying
Hey, the place is called Fisherman’s Villas (in Koh Tao). They have a website and also Instagram, I believe, for contact. I can’t tell you what the cost for one night was exactly (also, because we stayed there for free that night) so I think it’s best to inquire with them.
Guys, you need to use a dive case with your GoPro… there’s too many apertures on the camera that can fail at any time… batt hatch, I/O hatch, lens seal, shutter release, screen seal etc etc. If a dive case fails, it’s easy to see water collecting at the bottom of the case, the nominal water resistance of the camera itself should protect it until you get to the surface and investigate what went wrong with the dive case. I use one even when I’m on my scooter… If the camera falls off, I’ve destroyed a $30 dive case, not a $400 camera
Good point about being able to see leakage in the dive case. The stupid thing was, we had a dive case, but trusted GoPro’s statements about its waterproof abilities, and didn’t take it for this snorkeling trip… Thanks for the tips, we are never going in the water without a dive case again!!
