    After seeing this a year or so back, I use these in my warm up routine before shooting :-)

    Rather well done, exercises make sense, glad to see that static stretching is finally abandoned. But: to mobilise you lower back don't do rotation in full flexion, you're blocking the lumbar spine joints in full flexion and there is no potential for rotation left. Rotations while standing in a "normal" upright position are more effective.

    Excellent! How many repetitions should be done?

      The video mentions 8 repetitions.

      don't worry about the number of reps. Its all on feel. As you are ONLY warming up the muscle and the joint, continue going through the motions until you feel the muscle slightly fatigue. Or if you'd like to go further into more of an endurance warm up, start counting reps as soon as it starts to burn! The good burn though!

    She's cute too, however,....are these stretches for recurve or compound bows? 😂👍

      The Amazing Goldfish Both since they nearly use all the same muscles

      Compound shooting requires more mid-draw strength whereas recurve shooting requires more load transfer to the back muscles at full draw. So while they both require similar muscles, a recurve shooter should focus more on practicing their full scapula retraction while a compound shooter should focus more on overhead arm stretch.

    Chiropractors everywhere are cringing at that last exercise... that is so bad for your back.

    • @theamazinggoldfish8713
      @theamazinggoldfish8713 4 года назад +3

      Most chiropractors crack a neck without ever warming up the muscles and tendons first. This simply causes more scar tissue to build up for the next "supposed" adjustment. "A money making racket". Most chiropractors don't do archery either.

    Into too long, over-produced, runs through the exercises too quickly.

      This isn't a fitness class, you can pause, go back and keep referring to the video. As long as you take away the info and practice for yourself that is what matters.

      Agreed! Would be more helpful if the camera was not so close, they showed a couple full cycles of each move, and named the moves for easier memorization.

      Agreed John Marsh! Pause it, go back here n there, after I while you get to know them then no need to watch the video to warm up.
