To the guy above me they aren't heavily stacked against you to start, but over time you are not going to win overall unless you're playing blackjack or other games of skill where the house odds become more reasonable 🤔
I agree, I’m going to Vegas in a couple of days and the only gambling I’m going to be doing is playing Texas Holdem. That way at least I’m not playing against the house with those horrendous odds and minimum bets

What I love about this is Jacob actually reviews everything, the food, the room (including amenities and bathroom) the casino (tables and slots), the bars, pool, gym, parking, getting to everything, etc. instead of just trying make a flashy video or a "top 5" "top 10" etc etc like so many other wannabes on RUclips. Vegas’ allure was that the price used to be justifiable for a long weekend or quick trip without making it a full vacation. You could get there and stay for a reasonable price and then spend your money on experiences, parties, gambling, and drinks. Strip properties now nickel and dime you every chance they get so much that a long weekend in Vegas rivals the cost of a week long vacation to a nice vacation destination. They over estimate how much I enjoy getting price gouged just for the opportunity to lose money in their casinos.
I agree! Vegas has definitely changed over the years since the start of the ridiculous resort fees not to mention the cabana fees and even fees for plain beach chairs if you want you enjoy the pool. Casinos have also gotten stingier with the comps and promos.
Yeah. I've been going to Vegas about 13 years now. Been about 7 - 8 times. It's only gotten worse in that time. I always hear about the glory days of the 90s. Would have loved to have come then.
Same here. I agree with you 100%. We all know the big dogs running the properties are doing the bare minimum and making the most, but Its the employees working their butts off with high hours and no help that make everything happen, especially when things go wrong. I always go out of my way to make sure the employee experience is great for them and be as little hassle as possible as a customer. I even ask what they need to make their job easier and I tip well. Doing that makes my experiences, even in run down crap holes, a 1000 times better.
@@John_Conner222I agree 1000% more people need to think like you. All these issues that the casinos and hotels cause aren’t on the employees and they need to be treated well. Every time I treat a bartender or dealer or front desk worker with respect and class it always works out well and is smoother. Those guys bust their asses and earn the tips they get. Respect to you buddy. 🙏👍🙏
Yes, it’s funny about that, and it’s not just soppy sentiment. Give more, and get more, not just from the employees. I take it as a zen experience. What ever happens is an experience, so experience it, watch, and learn. Maybe ask a few questions. Think have to go pretty badly wrong before I complain. And more often than not, it’s the management, not the employees.
All casinos are deceitful, that's their business. I went there 4 months ago and it was so damn expensive its just not worth it anymore. The food cost and alcohol cost was beyond ridiculous. What once was a good deal is now a pure waste of time and money, go somewhere else and have a real vacation for less cost.

I think that you should watch more of Jacob‘s videos and learn the tricks of the trade! If you know how to use your players points you can get free vacations at luxury properties. As well as free food and services! An MGM cardholder and I get offers every month for free stay. This includes the cosmopolitan where I get four days comp stay and resort credit! @@SafetyBriefer But but but... think of the owners!?!? How can they afford their 3rd private jet without triple zero? Show some compassion and respect for your wealthy superiors. Gosh.
They might as well just charge $25k to even look at the place, and take 50% and give you a beer at this point. Absolutely stupid to go to the strip now.
@@edwinrodeoDon't assume that. I like gambling but I don't have the time to really learn so the most table games I'll play are roulette and blackjack, and my wife likes slots. They're starting school this year so we should have some extra time but this is quite literally a scam for people like me and it's fucked up. especially considering my generation and newer has a great disdain for gambling in general, so this is only making it worse and confirming the accusations being made constantly.
Wrong Nevada casinos have a payback minimum set by state law!!! Little as possible would be zero!!! You must be talking about Indian reservation casinos where they have zero state payback percentage laws and in theory could set a slot machine to payback nothing!!!

He has to be hoping for more visitors too. How long can these hotel reviews be popular when nobody can afford the cost? I dont generally check the costs for hotels in Miami Beach in Late March either. Just not spending that kind of money to sleep one night.
If people didn't play it, they wouldn't offer it. It may turn away some guests but not nearly enough, and surely not enough complain either. So keeps squeezing tighter and tighter. Next stop 9:8 🤣
The problem is that low IQ gamblers are playing it and have no CLUE whatsoever that it's SO bad as far as odds. These casual once a year gamblers have ruined it for everyone.
Haven't been to Vegas in over 20 years! Back in my day, a room at a major resort Luxor, Caesar's was between 35 to 50 bucks! Parking was free, no resort fee, spa was included. Steak dinners for $5, buffets were $10, all drinks were FREE if you were gambling. Comps were plentiful ... It was a fun escape. The times have changed ... And not for the better.
Exactly the reason I don't go used to go twice a month in the 80's and 89's but no more other than to visit a friend who lives there about once a year...it used to be so much fun and the perks were awesome now i'm not paying 40 dollars for two cucumber slices and some filler wrapped into a roll
@@TS1964 I went to Vegas in 1994 and prime rib was $5. Cheap rooms, free drinks when gambling. You could play slots a long time on $50. Free parking, free valet. Things today are terrible. I used to go to Vegas in college and my mid twenties in the early and mid 2000's when I had hardly any money and my friends and I could still afford to sit down at a table at the Bellagio. Now the minimums are just completely out of control. It's actually sad that people are willing to part with their money so easily with these high limit gimmick games. I'd have a problem with these prices even if I had $200 million dollars. $9 for a snickers in the mini bar? Lol. How generous of them. It's just the principle of basically being fleeced and some people acting like "it's baller" to get nothing for your money is what frustrates me. Yet people continue to come to Vegas for gimmicky carnivale style odds and to get treated like cattle when there are so many other places to gamble now across the country that would treat you better and provide a much better value for your money. I am not anti Vegas at all it makes me sad to write this and I miss my trips there but how much more are people going to take? I signed off a few years ago and am not coming back until things change. And things won't change until enough people start saying no to this to where it impacts the bottom line. Vegas doesn't exist solely on the highest of high rollers.
Years ago I booked a fountain view room and paid a fair bit extra. At check in I was downgraded and didn’t get the fountain view I paid for. Nor did the hotel refund me the difference. The experience left such a bad taste in my mouth I have never dined, gambled, or stayed at Bellagio since. I visit the conservatory and fountains and admire the beauty of the property, but I will never again spend money there.
There used to be inexpensive buffets and drinks that casinos would use to entice people to play. But those are largely history now. I can't believe how high prices there have gotten. There must be tons of rich people to support the prices in Vega$.
I'm gutted ever since they got rid of the 24 cafe within the conservatory. It was the best all day eatery on the strip back in the day. The desserts were to die for. The prices were very fair also. Great review Jacob. Many thanks.
@@FlyLikeDove - right on! We used to eat at the 24 cafe (adjacent to the conservatory) late at night after a long day of gambling, now they renamed it, remodeled it and it closes at 3 PM. If we want a late night omelet or anything else, we have to order room service. :(
I ordered some 40$ pasta togo from a Mario batli restaurant. I was walking by the gift shops towards the tram and some women in a cocktail dress asked if i wanted to have some fun . I am done with MGM properties, so tired of the scam games. Casino games are already in the house favor, they have made them even worse. Go down to Circa/the D/Golden Gate, you get far better offers, get way more comps, and get to play fair casino games without ridiculous denominations.

@@danielbrowne9344 You can earn MGM comps in a lot of places around the country. Also, as to your OP, MGM is the worst in Vegas, . . except for Caesars. So if you're trying to earn comps close to home, MGM is the better choice.
Yo folks, if you want to know all about the Bellagio or Caesars Palace, just remember rich people have to overpay for stuff. That's how they know that they're not poor like you
The Bellagio is one of the worst values in Vegas. It is relying on an outdated reputation... one that has not been valid since its first 5 years of existence. I recommend trying any of the newer properties... even if a little more expensive, they offer so much more value for money.
Even the room safe is a scam. Who puts a safe in a drawer in the nightstand? All a criminal would have to do is steal the drawer. Drinks are best served when you BYOB to the room. Just bring a fifth of Scotch and tequila in your bag. They probably charge for ice as well.
I don't know if they still do this, but MGM will give you Pearl status if you bring a copy of your DD-214 to prove you're a veteran. It's a great way to get free parking for very little effort. Caesars use to do that as well, bumping you up to their level 2. (I forget what it is.)
They do this for credit holders too, but Caesars takes away the status if you don't re-earn the tier at the end of the year. Super disappointed in Caesars compared to mgm
Since we are talking about things that should be illegal, I think RESORT FEES should be illegal. Try searching for a room by price, it's a scam. Since they started this nonsense, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas because I'm talking about me. Oh, I spent thousands there annually for decades. I so much admire integrity and the balls to tell the truth. They have neither.
Even you Jacob are part of the problem when you talk about the price of the room. You have fallen into the "this is normal" trap by breaking down Room + Resort Fees+ tax. I would describe the Room ( resort fee included) + tax but that's because they haven't broken me down yet with time. Sorry, I hope this doesn't sound mean spirited but there is no other way to describe it.
The bill was so slippery. You get a $200 room, discounted by $50 = $150. Then they make you pay a $50 resort fee, which brings the room back up to $200. That’s just slimy.
I have been staying at the Bellagio. But their room prices are now out of my budget. I won on the Dancing Drums. I came home with more gambling money then I left with in May.
I went there yesterday and Bellagio was one of the worst paying machines in Vegas. I would never play their machines or any machines on the Strip. my guess is 99% will lose all their play money at the end of vacation if they play machines on the Strip. Complete rip off.
Slots have also become absolutely HORRIBLE. I’ve played many properties. Dozens of slots from $1-$10 a spin. Hundred of spins. No or minimal line pays. No features. Features that literally pay $2 on a $6 bet after 60-70 spins. Something is really, really off. It doesn’t feel like “gambling” anymore. When it’s spin spin spin…zero. It feels like being cheated. Vegas is done. Corporate greed has ruined it.
Jacob i respect u because like u say u pay for the room so u can give an honest opinion of the property.. most RUclipsrs sell out just to get the free rooms or food
This is my favorite property on the Las Vegas Strip. Always have luck on the slots, property is immaculate every time, and the pools are amazing. Sadelle's is THE BEST breakfast spot- we eat there every morning during our stays. You are right...the water pressure is super weak in the upper floors of the towers. They definitely need to improve that and put a booster on or something, especially what they charge for a night's stay. Great video! Keep 'em coming! :)
The best bet if you are an MGM Rewards member at any level is to stay in the pyramid at Luxor. The rooms are generally free even on weekends and they do not charge a resort fee. Also, the pyramid rooms only have rooms on one side of the hallway, so it tends to be fairly quiet. Rooms are pretty nice. And if you want to go to Bellagio, you can always walk down to Park MGM and take the free tram. By the way, the minimum at the blackjack tables at Luxor are $15 almost all day and there are even some 3 to 2 blackjack team there and at Excalibur with a $15 minimum.
I really appreciate your videos, Jacob. Tons of great info. I haven’t been to Vegas in years, but if I do come back, I’ll be using a lot of your info and hacks!
Craps class- priceless. Craps is the funnest, most communal, luckiest game with the best chance of winning of all games. Learn it to have fun in Vegas. I played first time at my nieces wedding. The whole table lit up. Everyone was winning. Best time in Vegas in recent memory. And I grew up there.

6:58 Casino Quest is a lot of fun. You get a lesson on the game(s) you want to learn. But it is better than the lesson the casino gives you, because you actually get to roll the dice, and make bets with chips. You also get some strategies that the casino won't necessarily want to teach you. They will also tailor the lesson to your skill level, from novice to experienced player.
I was waiting for the "deceitful" part of the Bellagio but glad it was nothing bad, I always enjoy my stay at the Bellagio and THANKS for the "spa tip" - I didn't know you can go up there and take a picture of the Conservatory!
The Bellagio has the worst drink service on the entire strip, no reason to gamble there at all. The Cosmopolitan right next door will keep your glasses full from the moment you sit down.
Love your channel brother. Been watching it a long time! Really appreciate all of the realistic and honest opinions and information. Keep it up and hopefully I will see you on one of my trips out there!
So I am confused… he says it’s the most deceitful casino in Vegas yet only mentions the craps tables triple 0 scenario & in same breath says all other casinos do it the same.

Bellagio is my favorite hotel. Love the restaurants, the pools, the ease of checkin and the ambiance. Have stayed at many different properties in Vegas and always appreciate coming back to the Bellagio. All hotels have issues from time to time but Bellagio has always made things right. For those that will never stay here again, that’s music to my ears cause that means it will be available when I return 😊
No more Hyde and Bank club, but the Pinky Ring lounge by Bruno Mars is the most fun place with DJ and Live music I've been to in a while! Usually free entry unless you want a table as well :)
Enjoy the video. Signed up for the others stuff because… you gave shout outs to the hotel employees. Service workers are forgotten too much. So thank you.❤
I have always loved the Petrosian cocktail lounge (you cover it around 8:40 in the video). Been going there since opening night in 1998. It is the best place for people watching in 'Vegas. Sit down in the piano area, order your favorite cocktail and watch the parade of people go by. I have seen everything. Celebrities, mostly naked people, drunks, and more hysterically funny moments than I can remember. I am a local, we go there a few times a year. Just be sure to spend some time in the casino and gardens to sober up before you leave.
No younger people are not going to college and are not saving for a house. They live hand to mouth while waiting for dad to kick off to leave them a house.
8 years ago i would be drinking free bottles of beer in their sports book while tipping $1-3 esch time. Usually we woukd tip $10 right off the bat and the server would come by more often. Now you have to bet a minimum of probably $100-$150 and you get a drink ticket for free. Absolutely assinne.
I stayed at Bellagio in April and loved it. I stayed in the spa tower and had zero issues, and I was on the 17th floor. I especially liked that there was security. I checked in early and they had a room ready for me in 10 minutes for no additional fee. Staff was wonderful. Pro tip: If you're a soda guy, you can get a Coke at Snacks for $6 and if you keep the cup, lid, and your receipt, you can get unlimited free refills all day long. I tipped $2 every time I got one, because that's what you do. Take care of the staff. They remember, and they really appreciate it. $2 for a soda at Bellagio is a steal. Charge EVERYTHING to your room. If you gamble even just in the slightest on the slots, you'll probably get it back and then some in comps. You don't have to be a high roller to get comps. I can always tell in the comments the complainers are the ones who don't gamble. From my experience, you're not going to see many kids at the Bellagio pool at any time of the day, so if that's your concern, don't sweat it. The only bad experience I had at Bellagio was the douchebag RUclipsr (not Jacob) that was live-streaming me and talking shit. If anything is ruining Vegas, it's fucking RUclipsrs. Jacob's one of the better ones, but there are a lot of bad ones, and I'm glad the casinos are starting to '86 them, especially when all they do is bad mouth. I'll be staying at Bellagio every chance I get. Cheers.
Thank you, this video got enough of my Bellagio fix for the rest of my life. I still love the structural feel and design of the place, but that is ultimately free to look at lol. 🙏🙏

Those table minimums are truly predatory. There's probably no reason the minimum can't be a dollar. I watch Abbott and Costello bet with 10 or 20 dollars in the 40s, and I'm like "I can't imagine betting that much money". Why are the minimums so absurdly high? Is this a "rich people casino" (whatever that would be) or what? It's so weird that they would make gambling so unaffordable for 80+ percent of the USA.
Ahhhh...... Jacob, I owe you a drink! Bellagio is our favorite place for us, my wife & I wondered how we could get to that balcony by the conservatory, that will be our 2nd stop when we return in March!
I’ve been to Vegas 3 times. 1985, 1999 and 2011. The house has always had the edge, but back in 85, they at least made it fun and gave good value on food & entertainment. On my last visit, there was nothing remotely fun or intriguing about the town. Service was bad, food was expensive & mediocre. Junk fees EVERYWHERE. People think Vegas is twins having a pillow fight. The reality is that it’s a money grubbing, miserable excuse for a city, running off the momentum of the past. Sooner or later, people are going to wise up and there’ll be no more suckers to take advantage of.
Honestly haven't had a good trip to Vegas since Sahara closed back in the day. Back then you got showered with free drinks and could have a good time. Now everything costs an arm and a leg, resort fees, the food quality has gone down a lot, etc. Just not worth the trip anymore. You go sit in a casino and blow all your money, least they could do is keep up the hospitality and a free drink or two. I think last time I was in Bellagio I sat there playing slots for over an hour before I even saw someone walking around taking drink orders. Freemont St. seems to be the only part of Vegas left that still has a soul. Stained comforter/sheets at $200+ a night is inexcusable, lol.
$100 minimum for 3:2 BJ is just plain greedy. LV was built on 3:2 BJ and it was ok for 80+ years but now they want to squeeze you with 6:5 and Triple 000 roulette. Until people push back they're just going to keep bleeding average Joes. Don't play these games - insist on 3:2 or go and find a casino that has 3:2 tables - they still exist.
The best blackjack on the strip is 3 to 2 blackjack at the Strat with $10 minimum during the day and $15 at night. 6 to 5 blackjack is for suckers but unfortunately the tables are filled with $50 players doing the 6 to 5
The move is Station Casinos properties in the future. They're mostly local favorites, but they'll be expanding their properties by nearly 2x over the next 10 years. Red rock and GVR are their flagship luxury properties, with Durango being the newest addition. Make em the popular choice, and you won't regret it.
@@lennyanders1639 TI has good blackjack also. They hawk the games like crazy though if you;re counting. their high limit pit is often 25 min during the day and it's a rare 3:2 das s17 double deck game.

Same here. I agree with you 100%.

Since we are talking about things that should be illegal, I think RESORT FEES should be illegal. Try searching for a room by price, it's a scam. I so much admire integrity and the balls to tell the truth. They have neither.
Even you Jacob are part of the problem when you talk about the price of the room. You have fallen into the "this is normal" trap by breaking down Room + Resort Fees+ tax. Slots have also become absolutely HORRIBLE. I’ve played many properties. Dozens of slots from $1-$10 a spin. Hundred of spins. No or minimal line pays. No features. Raise the "Handpay" limit already.
$1,200 is a fn joke.
Yea I never understood that, wouldn't you want the people to be hitting max bet as much as possible instead of the delays of handy pays?
@@sunfarmer1797 I think that's an IRS regulation - we used to have to issue a W2G for a Slot payout of $1200 or more.
Agreed, waste of everyone's time; especially when obese i/n/j/u/n tribe employee take a nap before they pay you out.
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
Holy Crap Jacob, using the property's logo as 000 is very misleading on the Triple 0 Roulette table!
Ahhhh...... Jacob, I owe you a drink! Bellagio is our favorite place for us, my wife & I wondered how we could get to that balcony by the conservatory, that will be our 2nd stop when we return in March!
Imagine hitting the logo and thinking you won some bonus prize 😂
Exactly
It's a bonus alright, for the house that is! 🤣
If you had your bet on the logo you would have the largest payout the game offers.
One of the most thorough & informative reviews I've seen. 👍🏻👍🏻 (Although I probably can't afford to stay or play table games here.)
Rough duty, Jacob! Great job. From OG subscriber. 👍👍
If you're going to gamble in Vegas, the better value is to gamble in downtown. The Strip is a tourist trap. Surprising, I know lol.
Amen!
Obligatory $2 BJ road sign.
@@lennyanders1639 TI has good blackjack also. They hawk the games like crazy though if you;re counting.
their high limit pit is often 25 min during the day and it's a rare 3:2 das s17 double deck game.
Great job, Jacob!
