Phillip McKnight had the same problem with a 3 way selector switch on a PRS SE Eriza Verde recently. He blew some air in the switch which fixed it - could be a bit of sawdust in there from the factory. Worth a try.
it looks fantastic, and I know how to replace a switch, so that wouldn't be a deal-breaker. If it were available w/o the evertune for somewhat cheaper, I'd definitely consider one.
My Artist series Solar's 5way pickup selector worked about 6 months...and there were quite a few of other issues in that as well. Not gonna guy another Solar ever again...
Great demo. Thought it sounded really good. I love ATG and I think they're using Solar guitars. That said the evertune bridge and the aesthetics of the guitar don't do it for me.

Solar = qc problems on some level. Oh and I completely agree with you on the headstock! I have solar and I would be much happier with and Ibanez anything guitar. I would not recommend a solar especially if you are not a luthier or live in the middle of nowhere. Something will need fixing or replacing.

Love the looks of this one though, even with that bhtt ugly headstock. 🤣.. Are the frets stainless? I've been thinking of buying a new single cut. I need a Gibson LP Jr with a rosewood board and maybe p90s. EMGs though to get rid of the hun. Your tone just rocks man.. you could play wires strung across railroad tracks and make it sound good I'm convinced my friend. Be well sir. Tim

Nice review. The guitar does look great and sounds cuttingly clear. My guitars have tuning pegs on top also but thinking about it when playing a guitar without evertune The pegs that way would be much easier to make adjustments. I guess it just goes to what you are used to though. Just seems economical to me that facing down is the same way your hand would be facing while playing. I am with you though and my tubers are pointing up.also. What did you think about the pickups in person - are they the same in bridge and neck?
Have u tried the A style Solar guitar if so would you choose it over this G body type? Im looking at buying a solar despite being worried about the cracked fretboards and what not but I don't know if i should go for the A or G body type

De är exceptionellt välbyggda och Ola är en kanonkille. Men de är inget för mig. Uppskattade recensionen däremot. Det blir ett intressant samtal när en uttalad Fender-individ gör en crossover mellan classic/modern. Och 20k prenumeranter. En fin utveckling och värd att gratulera. Ett bra kvitto på din kompetens som pedagog, musiker och att helt enkelt vara rolig. Kan tänka mig att du är uppskattad av eleverna 😊. 👍🙌

I'm only two minutes in and already I consider that guitar a keeper. Are you going to keep this one rather than selling it on after the review?? I'd keep it were I you if only 'cause it chuggs lol.
In all honesty; it’s pretty! That’s about it!! Sounds too …… “modern, chugga chugga, boring ass” metal, and the ever tune?!?! F that! F that a bunch!!!!! There is no need to route out the guitar that much to fit one, there is no need for the complicated tunings, sure it never goes out of tune, but with locking tuners, and a good setup, other guitars won’t either! Great video though Elmo, always love how your unbiased on everything you do!
I'm struggling to see who the evertune is really for. Beginners who struggle to tune aren't going to buy a £1000+ guitar, and experienced guys can do it in 30secs flat, so who exactly does this appeal to?
I would never buy a Solar, despite good look. If there is a guitar in a range of 1k euros and more it should not have a qc problems like cheap Harley Benton. Some HB guitars five times cheaper do not have any flaw. Evertune bridge is not for somebody who uses bendings and vibratos.

My kid has a Solar. Nice guitar but it has a bad selector switch also. Strat style switch

it appeals to rythm players who use high gauge strings and low tunings that hit the strings like animals because "its cool" on stage. Probably :)
