I live in the US and have loads of family in the U.K You produce really fun and educational content! Thanks so much for your hard work. It’s such a shame that stalking and bullying even exists in this world. It happens to a lot of us. You are not alone and I appreciate you sharing your story. I own a furniture store and manage all the social media. I take it so personally when someone leaves mean comment on my feed. I have to remind myself how small their lives must be. I can' t even image being a utuber. It takes guts for sure, so bravo to you and Ali for putting your lives out there. I’ve just got to *that* part of your Vlog and I’m so sorry your privacy was violated that way, how awful! Something happened to us in our home many years ago and we had to make security improvements which made us feel safer, but we felt attacked and very anxious so I have full empathy.
But….how exciting you’re off to view a new property. How wonderful that your businesses are growing so much you are looking to embark on the next, new chapter of your lives. I found it so interesting that you mentioned some people do these things to RUclipsrs as a "power move." That makes complete sense. When people feel powerless in their own lives they take it out on others. You aspire therefore you inspire and a certain few don't see the message in that if you work hard, you can achieve your aspirations whatever they may be. I honestly feel sad for them.

My family is the 7Th generation to live in our home, so we’re never moving so I am living vicariously through you and loving it!
It's not just being on the Internet Lydia. There will always be people you come across in this world who find pleasure in causing you an issue. I know it's easy to say because most of us are sensitive human beings, but you have to find away of pushing it out of your mind. When you fuel people's mean intentions that's exactly what they are looking for, a reaction. Ignoring and and getting on with the things in life that are much more important is the best way to deal with these kind of issues.x 😊

Totally agree with your distaste for marigolds. They smell revolting to me. 😟 But they really do help keeps bugs away. We kept them in our beds and they noticeably help.

Hi Lydia, I know you don't like Marigolds but they really are a gardeners companion! They are used as a companion plant in the vegetable garden to lure pests away from your veg & they attract insects which will predate the pests. There are lots of varieties too so you may find one you do love, I hope next time you see them you think slightly differently about them 🙂🌱💚
I honestly love the look of the original tables better than the new narrower one you got the tones match the greenhouse so much better

Lydia, I absolutely love your home and watching your journey to decorate it in a way that feels authentic to you. I have taken quite a bit of inspiration in my own home (and closet) from the choices you have made! I feel sad to hear you're moving--your home is such a character in your content. You've really refined it and brought it to life over the years. It's getting better and better, and seeing the greenhouse and garden developing is just magical. So, I imagine some of us may have to grieve your move! But of course I have faith that wherever you end up, you will continue to create a beautiful and elegant place for us to visit on RUclips.

The way you express your concerns is very mature, professional but to the point. Bringing this information to light is heart breaking to hear about yours and your family's privacy not being protected and if there was a magic wand, I would love to wave that wand and protect you all. As you say, unfortunately these things do happen and it is about reminding yourself that you are loved, safe and keeping yourself as protected as possible.

Just wanted to say that is an old book and placing your new Kelly bag on it MAY cause ink or dyes to rub off on your bag. I had that happen and totally wrecked my item. You can do whatever you want but I know what leathers can do. Especially in heat, humidity or cold.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on moving house! I can understand how you might be nervous about sharing that you're thinking of moving after all you've done to your current home. But it's what people do, they move in, live, and grow all while making their house a home... and then sometimes people outgrow their homes and need to start the process all over again. There's no shame in that. I hope you find a house you can make your forever home. I'm always down for house renovation videos ;)

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve been nervous about sharing my home online as well for fear of people finding out where I live. I am purchasing my farm through a company, which provides anonymity because my name won’t be on the deed or searchable in real estate transfer documents. I’m an attorney in the US and am sure this is different in a England, but having it in a company is good since you’ll be using it for business and it provides privacy. I hope this helps and good luck!!
You can just Do a company search to find out directors and addresses I’m afraid here
@@sazzlepop321 I know in the US, if you purchase through a trust, you can keep your anonymity because the trust is searchable, but the beneficiaries of the trust are not so no one would know who the “person” is that purchased the property. Is that the same in England?

People should realize once they put themselves in “ internet” y Tuber “ for whatever reason …some to make extra money others to show off others etc .. they need to be able to take criticism also. We leave in a democracy country and everyone has the right for thy opinion . People observe people listening . Everyone is different .
I personally think sometimes this can go to far and damage people physically and mentally .

Actually I don’t think you’re being doxxed, your home address is public on Google and was made public when you tweeted it accidentally before… but please get the Google thing rectified if it’s of concern!!
I have never shared my address on the internet. A postcode is not an address it’s an area locator and We have had this removed a number of times and as predicted it has always been re done by people on the internet and that is why I have had to accept this fact as covered in the video x
@@lydiamillen hi Lydia. I was goggleing a landmark facility ( don't want to be specific but i'm sure you know the one) near Milton Keyes and it showed a reference to your homes location on the google map that displayed. I was shocked. You may want to see if you can this changed?
In the US, we have something called the White Pages. As long as you know someone’s name and their city, you can look up their address online. I honestly never thought anything negative about it - I use it every Christmas when I’ve forgotten someone’s address (😂) but not everyone uses that kind of information innocently

Almost everyone in the US has their information available online. If you have public utilities and/or own your home your address can be found.

I am on the house journey with you. It’s got to be right no matter how long it takes. I sometimes have a dilemma when I want to spend money on my home knowing I might leave it soon but as you say it adds value. Also a home is a sanctuary so you have to treat it well. I don’t want it to think I am cheating on it by looking at other homes 🤣
The yellow and orange flowers are calendula, sometimes known as pot marigolds. They are not to everyone’s taste, but have great medicinal and pollinator properties. The fruit trees appear to be espaliered on the wires, not really pleaching but similar
I'm with Ali too, as far as the pleached or espalier question. Pleaching is like a hedge on stilts - love them, but haven't got anywhere suitable to plant a pleached hedge.

Watery eyes is actually sign of dry eyes, use some good moisturizing drops, not the kind that say red out. This helps with rinsing allergens out as well😊

Lydia I am a little confused… has this fear come on more recently? Your address has been public since you moved so just curious about what has spiked this now for you? You also publicise your location frequently on your stories when generally out in public… if you are considering a move, hoping you are considering strategies to mitigate this the next time around.
Probably I wasn’t very clear I know a babble. This is a past fear. I mentioned how I live in a place of acceptance now and don’t feel that fear anymore x

View houses during the day helps you see everything better.
View houses in autumn or spring. Helps you see the water log areas and how the space responds to water generally.
Houses prices are high this year and for the next year or two, not a good time to buy a house.
And at different times of the day/ week to get an idea of traffic or other other potential issues.
As for high house prices, if you're looking for a first home them this is more if an issue, but if you're selling as well as buying, you'll probably be getting a good price too, so it all comes down to how much difference there is between the price of the two properties.

I'm hoping that Beauty Pie make it to Australia. A lot of "drugstore" products are so expensive here, and several months behind both the UK and USA. I'm sure it would be a worthwhile exercise.

I’m a bit confused, are you getting a second home to use it as an office or getting a new house that’s bigger to have your employees work there too?
Potting benches are so essential. My husband built me a greenhouse this fall and just put some benches on the front. I'm constantly using them to pot things up.

Hi Lydia, I fully understand it may be frightening people knowing your address and other details. However I distinctly remember you publishing your postcode on Twitter, when asking John Lewis where your order was. So whilst I agree with the former, I also think influencers should be more cautious about what they show and the visibility of things they post.
This is my prediction: she will move to the Cotswold, a house just like Josie's. Just an observation!! Forgive me if am wrong.
Or definitely someplace more remote in the country! The Cotswolds Are great.

personally I prefer the first aesthetic. It suited the house better. Take your time in your search and find something you really love. Another mortgage will set you back so take your time

This house is big enough, with plenty of land , but is never enough for her, and now that she has made more money with her Brand, and sponsoring everything that she gets gifted, Why not. We are ready to watch her spend money, and redo, decorate, redecorate, and buy everything new again. Renovating translates to content for RUclips videos which again translates to monetary gain. Nothing wrong with that but the toll it must take on one’s mental health has got to be tremendous. When yr home is compromised, it leaves an unsettling feeling that you can shrug off ever, so yr always on yr toes, sooner or later you do want to move, it is sad that yr environment isn’t safe unless you take those drastic steps it doesn’t happen again. In an earlier vlog you were talking about big stairs in the garden to the lower level. I would do that. And I would arrange the big cinema room also as an office. So the people who work with you don't need to enter your house, but can use the big outside stairs to come in to the lower level.

You mentioned sometimes forgetting cream on the back of your hands Lydia. I always use exactly the same moisturising cream on the backs of my hands as I do on my face. I'm now 61 and ive always had comments about how good my hands still look x

Hi Lydia, you should try some gardening gloves, get a few pairs to protect your hands . The dirt can really dry out our hands , my hands take a beating this time of year from gardening lol ! Your garden is beautiful: a perfect combination of form and function.
She has a gardener to do the real work. She is planting seeds & putting young plants in already dug by someone else beds.

Here in Beverly Hills we know where all the stars live. There are maps about it for sale and buses driving around showing people however… Beverly Hills has its own police force and hires private security companies to drive around and guard the residents. Being cautious is essential and Lydia, you do well concealing the front of your house.

Doxing is a very weird concept for me as someone from Sweden there everyones home adress and phone number is public information for anyone to look up, just search for there name and that information comes up. and that's perfectly normal for me. so i don't understand the problem with this? is this information not public information in the UK and the US?
It is public in the US for most as well. I could be wrong but I interpreted her saying it as though maybe people purposely looked up her information for more nefarious reasons?
