I was very lucky to be in a Jazz Band in secondary school and we played a concert at Lake Geneva when I was 13 so this was very nostalgic for me in many ways and has really inspired me to visit as an adult! Would love to stay there in the Fairmont one day! ❤

THAT DOLCE DRESS THOUGH!! I LOVE it. There was another one, a Dolce and Gabbana dress, that you wore on a trip to Italy a few years back that this reminded me a bit of that I love as well. I always love all of your outfits, but these dresses are standouts for me! Also I never realized how beautiful that area is- I’ve added it to my list. What an amazing trip ❤️
Hi Lydia, I also sometimes used to take paracetamol for a fuzzy head the morning after but I just learned that this is not advisable since both alcohol and paracetamol can affect the liver detrimentally. I'm not a doctor of course but I was really surprised to learn this and wanted to share it since you mention paracetamol here. Sending love xx

I really needed to be taken to Switzerland like this. I loved it. Thank you! One tip on a whole different subject: don't forget to put sun screen on your chest area. I see it's become red by the sun. That part of your skin is particularly delicate and needs extra protection. And since sun screen is the best skin care product in order to keep your skin young, use it generously. :-)
Loved this vlog and your excitement and laughter was so contagious! I’m also so impressed at how you constantly include your followers in the activities available and how to plan and enjoy the same experience as yourself and Ali. You always look so put together and all the dresses this summer are just beautiful. I thought more than once that the room lights up when you enter it and people seem to gravitate towards you. I enjoy the vlogs when Ali is able to join you on a trip.

Awe amazing, I bet the concert was amazing… my husband and I saw Dionne Warwick in Vegas a couple years ago it was a very small venue (100 or less) and we were in the front row and got to meet her and get a pic with her afterwards… so exciting💕

That is my kind of music festival. I am not the stand in mud type. My husband booked us into the Fairmont Hotel on Valentine's Day several years ago and it was the best experience I have ever had in a hotel. They are wonderful. He booked a corner room and it was huge, with floor to ceiling windows on two sides looking out over the harbor in Boston. I loved it. This video was so informative and Lydia and you looked lovely through the entire video. Ali looked pretty good, too. Thank you for bringing us along.

I don’t know how to start 🥰, this trip was unbelievable…. From start to finish amazing team organised an incredible visit.
The dining table in the mountains with the chandelier’s and the magical home with hidden treasure everywhere 🤗… this was my favourite part .
It must have felt like a dream , from one high straight into the next , concerts, boat rides, spectacular food and lovely people to share it with.
I totally understand you need some time at home
Plus if you don’t stop drinking you don’t get a hangover 😂🤣

I have loved all of this… I worked and retired from the University of Pittsburgh which for over 44 years has embraced Jazz and the History of Jazz. The Class , The History of Jazz, under the tutelage of Nathan Davis is selected as Best Class by students…nothing like a smooth jazz beat to soothe the soul…Lake Geneva, like Lake Como are on the list!

My heart smiled while watching this beautiful vlog! It was stunning and seeing things through your eyes and realizing I would act and feel the same way makes me smile! The older I get, I am learning how much of an influence my mom had on me in her regular everyday life and activities. Be it the music she blasted every Saturday whilst cleaning the house or the films she “made” us watch as kids, to now living and seeing the places she dreamt and talked about! This video reminded me of all that! I love when I realize how much of the songs I know from older artist that my mom loved, to how much fun I can have just “adulting” - if that makes any sense! Lol Beautiful and Nature Boy always have me rolling with belly laugh! ❤️

What a really great vlog! Such a beautiful trip with great memories. We love the Fairmont. We just got back from England and we stayed at the new Fairmont Windsor. We went for Royal Ascot and the property was just 3 months old. They were amazing took great care of us with their “Royal Service.” For those that prefer a more modern, newer place, there is really on anything like it in the area. And I made a trip to Bicester Village too, it was amazing shopping! I will put this Fairmont on my list!

What a beautiful trip, and so unique! We live in Calgary Canada where we enjoy a fabulous Fairmont, and we also love our Fairmont Banff Springs, especially throughout the winter, it's a magical experience.. hopefully Fairmont will bring you here I think you would love it.

Proud Canadian here. The Fairmount Hotel Group definitely reflects the Canadian perspective, music, art, food, beautiful landscape and preservation of historical landmarks/properties. I loved staying at many in BC and Alberta, such an experience.
The Banff Fairmont was recently rated #1 hotel in the world. Which surprised me, actually, given the luxury hotels in the Maldives, the UAE, etc. Canadian here, too.
I only get treats when I “arrive” at my mom’s house.😆 My luxury travel is being able to get a nice cup of coffee at the airport and my flight is on time. 😚

Use Biafine to soften the redness. A layer of cream to sink in then a thick layer you let sink in by itself. It is quite magical.

Hi Lydia, I'm a swiss journalist, living in Geneva. Like you, I had the opportunity to participate at the Montreux Jazz festival and I was invited at the Picotin, Claude Nobs' amazing chalet, where so many souvenirs from the best artists in the world are kept. Also like you, I had previously made a lot of marvelous press trips all around the world, with luxury and watchmaking brands. And I could just agree with you: this particular invitation at this Festival, with so nice people are unforgettable. The warmth and the simplicity, the exceptional class of Picotin guests is in my memory forever! PS I like you posts in general and specially this one with the Fairmont (the best hotel in Montreux). PS2 Here, we say The lac Léman, or the lemanic region, whatever think the Geneva people: they try to appropriate the name :)
