- Talking Heads’ 1980 album Remain in Light fused American punk with thrilling grooves. It also broke the arty, New York City quartet into downtown dance clubs, top of critics' lists, and onto MTV.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this video stated Brian Eno had produced the first Talking Heads record. This has been corrected.

TAKE A LOOK AT THESE HANDS
How did 'The Great Curve' not get a mention? It's one of the best songs they ever did.
One of my all time favourites
Burning Belew solo
THE WORLD MOVES ON A WOMANS HIPS!
THE WORLD MOVES AND IT SWIVELS AMD BOPS!
she’s gonna open our eyeesssss 😭😭💔💔💔
One of the best opening tracks ever.
Haunting and inspiring
Maybe add a correction stating that Adrian Belew played insane guitar on the album and he recorded the album 'blind' since Byrne wanted Belew to play 'reacting to the songs' as he heard them. Byrne also only gave him 3 attempts, yet most on the album were the first or second attempt.
Also Bernie Worrell is a pretty inspired keyboardist and was playing with the band at this time.
Brian Eno's production does not get enough credit
They were all bouta give up on the group and then gave it one more chance and succeeded 🔥
And still no mention of Adrian Belew...
MisterJawaman Indeed, good call. I hadn’t even realized that the first time around. They should be mentioning him, for sure. Wasn’t Bernie Warhol (from Funkadelic/Parliament) playing with the group at the time too?
Yes, two musical LEGENDs (adrian belew and bernie worrel) were not EVEN mentioned. C'mon pitchfork...
StraightGamesta Thanks for the correction on my spelling there. Shame on me for not googling that shit. Also, thanks for the confirmation. I knew he was in the touring band for the “Speaking In Tongues” (which, imo, would probably be the equal of “Remain In Light”, had Eno been on production) tour, but wasn’t sure when exactly he joined the band. ✌🏼
Seen and not seen is my favourite track from this album..
It also would be a great theme song for Anti-Hero Legion..
One of my favourite albums ever
One of my favoruite records of all time.
We'd like these back, thank you!
This album turns 42 years old today! Happy birthday to the greatest album of the 80s!!

The fat of the land- The prodigy. Pleaseeeeee!
How did I get here?!
So are we just not gonna talk about the other four songs or what
Tfrne I know right? Seen and not Seen, Listening Wind and the Overload are the greatest album closers of all time. The perfect pacing of any album.
Robert Palmer, not unsurprisingly, in there as well. Houses In motion...
Why reupload?
Rithan Husky what did they get wrong
I think the original upload erroneously stated that Eno produced their first three albums...
Why is London Calling on that list 0:26 ?
because it's the best album of the 80s
Tusk ACT4 chumimiin but it dropped in 1979
@@mrtesticles889 It's because it's an American list. London Calling was released in mid December 1979 in the UK, but not until a month later in the US...so Americans regard it as an "80s album."
Pavement’s Wowee Zowee or Yo La Tengo’s I Can Hear The Heart would be great!
Feelies debut album and Violent Femmes first album would be good candidates to cover
well i am gonna do it again
SOMETHING BY THE CURE NEXT
OR PULP
