I just came back last night from Paris, I was lucky to meet Agnes yesterday and have a pastel portrait made. The way she draws the eyes is just amazing.
Thanks again Jim for both parts of this wonderful video.Agnes is delighted with the result:beautiful balance of camera work astute commentary and still shots, Bravo Jim!!

Thanks for making these videos. I was in Paris 20 years ago when i was younger. It was a real pleasure. Now i still painting and seeing these artists i enjoyed a lot.
Agnes is a major source of talent. A jewel of Place du Tertre. And you, Mr. Jim, never fail to make a video that encapsulates whiles at the same time educates. While watching this video, as a matter of fact, I wanted to breakout my pastels and start drawing something. Anything! LOL. Great job, yet again. Also, tell the Mrs. that her portrait looks nothing short of stunning. :0)
Your comments are all very much appreciated. Always great having work recognized. Of course a huge thank you goes to Agnes Fabricius. Having a video camera breathing down your neck while your working is not easy. Many artists just flat out refuse to do it. Fortunately we can all learn thanks to her grace and courage
It's true what you say about momentum, especially when drawing hair. I find when I move my hand fast to create the curves and curls they look more realistic and it looks more flowing. It's like trying to draw a circle while moving your hand slow and carefully, or using swift curved strokes :)

Beautiful
Artistes avec un grand "A" !
Please does any on knows how much charges for a portrait.
which type of coloured pencils is she using?
Underwood pastel pencils.
I don't use them because they break too easily, and are impossible to sharpen most of the time.
Great portrait painters in montmartre paris
wonderful! sir
GOOD
I HAVE ALSO SIMILAR CUDDLY SPHERICAL WIFE!I LOVE HER!
MAY GOD BLESS US!
but she isn't american, i assume she's French?
Agnes does beautiful work, yet it does not look like the model. This woman has a different nose, and a fuller face.
i don't "like" this kind of art!
the face is so picturisque...no substance, no lines...JUST PLEASANTNESS...no life!
typically american style!
I enjoyed this video very much.
