is there any way to mod these to have different presets? i’ve been falling down a mad research rabbit hole trying to figure out how to make a custom realtime voice modulator for a cosplay project but i have no idea where to begin 😅 and most common presets on these types of devices or cheaper premade voice changers don’t match the type of pitch and timbre i’m looking for
If I wanted to power multiple leds with the modulation led circuit could I just use the ground and increase the positive by connecting it to a higher voltage part of the board?
sorry i have some problem with the speaker (the volume is too low an i use the right speaker). have you any idea to what i would do to find a repair to this situation?
To be pedantic: what is the trade-off of bending the leads? Is there any issue with solder joint integrity when bending the leads instead of just pushing them through straight? I know it's harder to have straight leads, but heard it's a stronger connection. True?
Neat build. Amazing how advanced this tech has become using different feedback methods also to layer sound directed even say using an acoustic hailing technology coupled with voice changing that is way better acoustically matched to known sounds with grammar databases that can even change the grammar and even language so to use as a translator. The creepy aspect is the known people sounds database capabilities with a higher fidelity system that is like an Auto Frequency Control and using Auto Gain Control like say to match and blend in with perimeter sounds so to layer onto ambient conditions sounds. Yeah... that's not even the silent sounds, V2K or microwave hearing aspect. Uhm... great build and thorough detail with explanation. I guess a potentiometer would work also on a jumper maybe so can use a jumper or the jumpered pot or maybe that creepiest Auto control.
@@maker_karen1785 Thanks. Yeah... reminded me of when I first learned about the SMD world of components and the zero ohm resistor. I was confused since I didn't recall seeing those when I last left off my electronics studies in the late 80's early 90's with what I worked on that was Radio Shack, Heathkit and Zenith systems since there would be pins and a jumper. Then with other projects where there are options like this or tuning is critical while making/modding... you can also solder on pins and solder a connector for the pins to the pot or maybe variable cap/inductor. Thanks, that's how I learned... sharing ideas and knowledge.
Didn't she make a mistake at 3:51 explaining about the switch? She is correct if using a toggle switch (it switches in the opposite direction) but the slide switch makes contact directly over the pin.
I wasn't able to find anywhere that still stocks just the chip. The button would be fairly easy to replace, but the circuit won't work without the chip. Unfortunately, you may have to buy an entirely new kit.
im kinda new to all this, im wondering if you could help me with a project. i have built a stormtrooper costume with my 3d printer now i would like to use one of these boards or maybe something else that can plug into my voice amp which can add a static burst and click's after i speak. i have seen products online but they are too expensive. can any please help me thanks
For everyone who wants to solder something, without designing a schematics themselves. I enjoy just soldering a kit from time to time, you can get a lot on tindie as well. Kids will definitely enjoy this too, just be careful and let them wear safety goggles and not inhale the fumes!
@@hansturpyn5455 no, they are definitely not harmless! When soldering with leaded solder or using rosin flux, that's nothing you want to breath or get into your eyes.
Wonderful episode, more kits please! Pacing was great, videography was on point :)

What a nice project i did investigate about this but now you did it ! I will do projects with this and write about this topic in my university

I use that same circuit board holder when I build my kits. Great video!
Hi, where did you get your circuit board holder. I've looked around and can't find it.
Very nice Karen - good instruction. ;)
I soldered on a mono 1/4 in. jack to plug in a mic and a 1/4 in. mono out to plug into a mixer or recorder, its pretty nice!!!!!!
What wattage do the speakers have to be.
instead of pushbuttons would dial work work to change the pitch to exactl what you like?

Thankyou for your tuto Is ti possible to do the same for someone who dont have this pcb, please I think it's a bit big for a mask
Now I can finally make my voice sound like Steve Jobs so I can restore my faith in Apple.

karen can you help me buy that circuit or pcb just tell me where I can get that
What kit is this
The link to purchase the kit does not work.
thanks for letting us know - this has been fixed!
do you know where I can get replacement parts for this kit? I lost the robot button and the ht8950 chip broke. Thank you for your time

Is there any possible chance we will ever see that logic game as a solder kit 🤞🤞
How would u attach to a bigger louder speaker from, say a kids transformers voice changer ??
hi J G...
'
yeaa can connect to the amplifier speaker
Why is only one of my LEDs turning on? It's the one closest to the switch.
what is the model/item number for that kit?
Velleman MK171 Voice Changer

I m having issue with my board all feed back on speaker
Maybe that big chip must be a DSP chip or maybe not.
Why are there so many bad reviews about the mk171 ?
Nice very very nice 👍👍👍.🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
This is bobby I am looking to Install in my mask but getting alot of feed back what should I do to fix it
try to put the speaker not near microphone. or isolate the mouth zone.
Mechanicus?
Nice anti-static gloves :)
Great, thanks!
Cool project. Pretty cheap if you want to leave in a project.
Where's my notification squad at? Or whats left of it..... :(
no i can change my voice to KYLO REN and take over the Entire UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its very hard to me mam
Is this for kids?

hi YX...

yeaa kit is a good for any age kid if kid is smart and interesting in electronic kit
I am invisible!
This'll be handy for cosplay, fursuit head building etc etc :P
I love video

Ok good
cool stuf
not usable.....
Sometimes it's more about the joy of soldering, not the usability - but this thing seems to be fun to use :)
