  • A bare patch of waste ground on the driveway needs transforming into a beauty spot. Using manure/compost made from waste along with waste wool, I have built a flower bed. It didn't take long and didn't cost more than the few plants and bulbs I planted in along with saved seeds. This little project could be carried out anywhere.
I am so excited and looking forward to being part of this webinar

    Nice tutorial on wool.
Isn't it funny how all the natural and good things from our generous Creator was being replaced by something fake and unnatural.
I am very happy that you educate about our wonderful Mother Earth and her everyday gifts to us.
We should all be taking better care of her.

Hello my Lovely, I have been very aware of the frequency of fabric for many years so choose my clothing/bedding very carefully. I really believe more and more people are realising the harm and benefits of certain fabrics and mark my words give it a couple more yrs and we will see a revival of the wool industry. Not just wool but linen, hemp and bamboo. Synthetic fabrics will end up in the bin where they belong. Thanks for another beautify filmed video ( hubby behind the camera ) and wishing you both a blessed week ahead xxx

We can't buy new wool garments here in Eastern, Kentucky. I found and bought wool socks at a Flea Market. They were made for boys; but, they fit me and I wear them. Wool will keep you warm even when it is wet. I shop the consignment shops, thrift stores, and rummage sales for wool fabric and wool garments. Most young people today don't know the benefits of wool.

Nice to see some gardening going on. Thanks for all that information concerning wool. What a pity petrochemical corporations continue to rule the clothing industry with all their synthetic materials. Location and spacing seem to be amongst the basics to successful gardening. Even after forty years of gardening I'm still not an expert, from year to year changing things, trying things to find out what works best. Aren't we the lucky ones though to have large gardens as well as having the ability to get out there and do the work. Enjoy this garden season! Cheers!

WE are most definitely the lucky ones and its good to know you are not an expert - that humility tells me you know a lot!! I was in a department store and noticed that some of the clothes were made from recycled plastic and my first thought was - isn't that great, to think that plastic is being recycled and then the horror of it hit me and I realised how dangerous those clothes would be to the human body. Quite unbelievable! Have a great week.

Do you spin your own wool or have you ever? It is on my 'bucket list' to spin a natural fibre. I have a newer flax wheel, and want to learn how to use it. I am having an old spinning wheel, also flax sized, delivered by a friend. I purchased her mother's and am looking forward to having this treasure in my home. I also have an old tabletop loom, which eventually I will learn how to properly use. My heart yearns to recapture these ancient crafts. ... Please keep your viewer updated with the development of your 'driveway garden'. It is going to be beautiful! Have a great week Lol and Terri, and blessings from Canada 🍁

Isn’t it wonderful to plant again?! You’re warmer there in Ireland. I’m about three weeks behind you. 🇨🇦Funny you should mention unwanted fleece: I’ve joined my local weavers and spinners guild and am learning how to spin and am part of a knitting group. I’m going to eventually knit sweaters and other clothing because I cannot obtain them any other way. Most of the women who started the guild are or were sheep farmers and are in their eighties!! There are no young folk to take over, or carry on the skills. They cannot afford land or sheep or the livelihood! Oddly none of their offspring live near to take over, nor do they want to. They have mentioned having to dump fleeces because there’s “no market” for wool! Sad. But I’m keen - in my 60’s - to keep learning.Blessings to you both Terri.🐇

Hi Teri! Well this information about using wool is a revelation! We have loads of sheep in the Willamette Valley here in Oregon, and they are largely raised for meat. I am going to see about getting some of the surplus wool for our garden. I am always trawling the local thrift stores for woolen items. Thank you for another wonderful video. Your new plot will look so beautiful along the drive!

. . .good points about wool use and synthetic clothes . . .it's lovely how natural material can break down and benefit soil and plants 🌿

So good to see your bees out and about again! Our middle child loves bees, and when I retire, I want to have a hive also. I've been recycling store bought hyacinths for years because I couldn't bear to just discard them. Even in our very hot and humid semi-tropical climate (in the southeastern U.S.) we get several years of blooms, each a little smaller than the prior year, but still lovely and with that heavenly scent. Yours should do fine in a climate as beautiful as Ireland. Very best wishes to you and Lol. Peace be with you friends. 🍀🥀🌻🌳

Apparently, following week one of our beekeeping course, the bees are out and about cleaning the hive after winter, bringing out the dirt and beating the rugs so to speak. Hopefully the hyacinths will come back, I will let you know xx

Lovely to see the bees, we used to have many but then wasps moved into my loft without us noticing and they got rid of all the bees before we did see them!
