Just found your channel recently, love your limited edition and small press book reviews/previews. You have a new subscriber! Have you done a video listing all the different publishers and small press companies that you follow and buy books from? I would love to see your list. I am a long time collector of these types of volumes as well as comics and graphic novels. My personal list of companies/publishers that I follow include: Folio Society, Taschen, Suntup Press, Centipede Press, Beehive Books, Conversation Tree Press, Cemetery Dance and Subterranean
@@itsterrific I don’t blame you 😂 Amazon has a copy for about 10 bucks so I think I can manage! I’ll try to knock it out next week and maybe order the numbered! Also eyeing The Outsiders numbered as well..
I just read the book for the first time. I finished it in a day and a half. A great read and better than the films. And, to read the numbered edition was an even better experience!
@frehleyrox Nice, Flash! I’ve never read a Suntup Numbered Edition. I don’t have the intestinal fortitude.😁 I usually read less valuable copies of the books.
I got my numbered on the 15th and am going to read it starting tomorrow. Can't wait. I love that they upgraded the paper it feels (and smells) wonderful. P.S. Yup was bound in house. I believe it is the first one they bound and sent out.
I thought I remembered Paul saying on a Live that The Stepford Wives Numbered Edition had been moved in house for binding. That is a neat fact for the collector in me.
Yes, sometimes you're right and sometimes you're wrong when you assume you won't like a book based on the synopsis. Unfortunately, I've been right more often than wrong when my gut tells me to avoid a book. Brave New World was the last trade edition I bought, and I was right when I felt this book wasn't written for me. Thanks for the recommendation for this book. I will have to read it, but I can't afford limited editions on books I don't have the "feeling" for. I passed on the numbered edition this week because I'm an "Artist Edition" guy and the story doesn't interest me. I could use the money to get more signed books from Tyler Jones! It sounds like "The Lottery" is March's release. Too bad there’s no Artist Edition.
Instincts are no doubt not always correct. I can’t really say how accurate my instincts are, because I usually din’t read books that I don’t think I’m going to like. Additionally, I think there’s a big difference between trusting your instincts on a new fad book (that in three years nobody may care about) and a 50 year old book that still stands strong. I often skip on the fad books, knowing that there are plenty of proven titles that I still need to read. Occasionally a fad book is attractive to me, like Hex or Winterset Hollow, and I’ll jump in. It also helps if it’s curated by a trustworthy source.😁
@@itsterrific You're right about the publisher being a factor! Small presses should be printing books guaranteed to sell. How fast do you think Earthling will sell out of that next book by Tyler Jones now that he's well known?
This is another Suntup where I wish they had the AE dust jacket art in the numbered edition. I think the AE dust jacket art was the best of all and it is not in the numbered. I agree these are some of the best tie in art pieces that Suntup has ever commissioned. Notice they are almost all smoking? How 1970s. Perfect. Thanks!
It’s definitely a great book, and as you can see, an amazing publication. I’d recommend it to anybody who’s not allergic to spending that kind of money on a book. 😁

Thank you Brian! I appreciate your kind words. Your idea for a video is a great one, too. Thank you for your help.
👍👍
I’m gonna have to read a paperback copy and decide if I want to get this numbered edition..it looks awesome
If I had a soft cover, I’d send it to you. I read a first print hardcover, and I’m keeping it.😁

@MrWeapon10
I don’t think it will sell out overnight, but hopefully it will sell out relatively quickly.

I agree. I love it when they include it as a fold out the way they are in Boy’s Life.
38 numbered editions still available on the Suntup site
