A noticeable lack of the one character who wears a mask 99% of the time, the Masked Boy himself; Vanitas. He maintains social distance by just watching everyone from the shadows and wears his mask and gloves all the time and is not getting this virus and is one of the people who says "I told you so" when things get bad, and laughs as the world dissolves into chaos around him.
And when doctors found out he couldn’t get the virus he became famous for being immune.

To be fair, it's not like that isn't an unreasonable reaction. Their was no reason to think it was as big as it was, because China understandably, if foolishly tried to cover it up. I don't blame China for doing what they did when they discovered they had pandemic on their hands, because let's face it, they did what any other nation, including the USA would do. Not saying it was right, oh no, their actions made everything worse, but I don't hate them for it, I just view it as a big mistake in their part.
Anyways, Riku as you said he would react, is a very reasonable reaction. He didn't think it was all that big, because the problem was being covered up, but once he saws the facts, he immediately started taking action. He was ignorant, but not willfully ignorant, he changed his mind when presented with facts. If only more people did what he did.

New way, Xion was in ICU actually died for a few minutes but was saved. She's the whole reason Axel is even following mandates now, why Saix is in constant war with dumbasses as a way to try to make it up to her because he was the one to give it to her, and Roxas was just worried for her.

You forgot Rikuplica! Oh well... Rikuplica was the first person in ICU, but everyone forgot about him after everyone else came flooding in. After a month of neglect, he was miraculously found alive by Aqua, who had been taking care of him originally. She called Riku, who had been worried about him all this time, and he came in to see his friend. Aqua left the two alone, and Riku came out crying five minutes later, saying Rikuplica had died. He declined to mention the reason tho...

What you said about Xion was too soon bro. Since she comes back in 3 I’d put her in the “she caught it & went into ICU but miraculously survives though has a long recovery phase from COVID effects” group.

Everyone thinks Ursula contracted the virus but she returns a few months later without any explanation. She doesn't seem any worse for wear.
Oogie Boogie is already living in a disgusting pit in the ground, so nothing changes for him. When he isn't ordering from delivery services he's sending Lock, Shock, and Barrel to get things for him. Since they all have masks anyways they're taking it better than Iago is, but they're upset they still have Zoom classes regardless.
Captain Hook is really fed up with it since he can't leave the ship OR sail, so he's suffering a little. Smee is a champ and ensures he's staying healthy and doing what he should, and helps Hook out where he can to help him through this.
Vexen seems like the kinda guy who would monopolize a cure, but in reality he's keeping himself up for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week working on a cure for the pandemic, and when he finally figures it out, Ienzo takes the credit
