Hi Heather great video. May I ask you a couple of questions please? Where was your accommodation? And how long do you recommend to stay in this area? My wife and I will be coming early in the New Year thanks for your help.
Thanks! I spent 4 days there. If you're not interested in the glass bridge, 3 days is plenty. New Year may be busier so the transportation in Zhangjiajie park may have longer wait times and therefore, you may not be able to see as much in one day. I stayed at Zhangjiajie one step to heaven inn. It was a 5 minute walk from the East side entrance and Carol, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful in reserving transportation to and from the train station, mapping out the most efficient routes in the park, and being available to answer questions via WeChat throughout the day. Prices for meals and laundry service were extremely affordable too. I will share that the East side is pretty rural and there's not many food options or other activities outside the hotel, so if you're wanting to do more in the evening, I'd probably book a hotel on the West side (in the city).
