I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.
They really weren't kidding when they said they were making a performance group. Their predebut performances seem like they've made their debut years ago

Jongho vocals is crazy.. He is like one of the best vocalist ever..but. you just missed their perfomance III and please react to ATEEZ - Aurora... This song is soo good and their vocals is amazing too..
There's a reaaon why Jongho can't dance fully like the other members. He is focusing more on vocals that's why.
That never meant he was cutting corners on performance, tho! He gets out there and show out, like everybody else. One never has to sacrifice one talent for another, unless, that's their choice.
And I don't believe Jongho has done that at all. In fact, he goes even harder because, he's injured himself several times, going to hard on his dancing.

@@bentenv7524 Yeah, I worry about Jongho, Seonghwa and Mingi. I know the others have gotten hurt, too. But repetitive and severe injuries are the hardest.

Utopia is one of my favourite Ateez songs - their voices sound amazing especially Seonghwa and his high notes! It is just a shame that a lot of people think Jongho is singing them!! You should check out Aurora and Promise too.
Utopia choreo is one of the most beautiful choreo ever, yous should see the full choreo
i really admire jongho, he dances extremely well but he also knows how to dance without getting tired so he is still able to sing amazingly and dance amazing and honestly that is so hard to do
You should definitely check out the 3rd one in the future, Joongi had mixed the mashup himself and it was so hard hitting 😫👏🏽👏🏽. Also i always love watching your videos!

utopia is actually a korean song, a bside from their treasure ep 3: one to all album but they made a japanese ver as a title track for their japanese debut album

They are all dancers. All of them. Just natural born dancers. They are way talented and I’m glad I watched Kingdom because I would have never listened to them if it wasn’t for seeing them do so good on that show. All the groups on that show.
They did perform Utopia korean version once in an award show last year. You could watch their whole choreo for this song there. It is so amazing. Especially towards the end, definitely gotta watch that cuz it's beautiful!
other groups pump in big money to promote their groups internationally. And then you have ateez doing 3 dance performances 1 mnt each in a parking lot and still managed to be one if the most (if not the most popular) 4th gen group internationally.

All of Ateez are such great dancers. A lot of people, even fans don’t know they were dancers before they were singers.
I love that the performance videos show jongho more in the front cuz that's never really his place in their own songs
On top of it being a great analysis of the choreo as usual, I loved seeing all of the faces you made watching it because honestly that was all of us when we all first saw it 😂😂😂

If I remember correctly, Hongjoong mixed the songs used in that cover together himself which honestly makes it all the more impressive to me.
Also! They also published a Yunho solo video which showcases his own dancing as well. To my knowledge there’s been a few idols that have danced to that choreo and I can’t remember the choreographer’s name but it’s unbelievable and so much fun. Here’s the link to that one! “This video gives me Inception feels” I died at that part tbh lol 😃 but only because when I watched Inception I said the exact same thing but in reverse, since Utopia came out first (Ep.3 is just a whole masterpiece in my opinion tbh). But in aIl seriousness, I definitely get it! The fluidity of the movements, the emotional sequences, how the song is so vocal-heavy, I really love that you made that comment!
Ngl, I was kind of sad that you missed San’s part before Jongho’s high note (though there’s a lot going on so I get it!! This song really packs a lot of things in that just hit you and it’s one of my favorite things about it tbh) because that part alone really showcases how powerful his voice is. He’s got this heavenly upper register (his falsetto is just sublime honestly) and the way he transitioned to a strong belt for the latter half of his part before Jongho came in just blows me away. Plus that transition from the falsetto to the belt isn’t easy, yet he makes it look seamless. San really is in my opinion an absolutely incredible vocalist. He gets a lot of praise and recognition for his dancing and his showmanship in terms of character and facial expressions, but his voice is absolutely remarkable as well.

I recommend watching their live performance of Utopia. The choreo is beautiful and isn't shown to full advantage in the video. Also, I'm sure others already mentioned it, but there's a 3rd KQ Fellaz dance performance and a solo Yunho predebut performance as well.
the way you got emotional to UTOPIA is such a mood!!!! For real I teared up when I first listened to it too!!! Utopia has been my top favorite tracks by ATEEZ i just feel like ascending every time I listen to it

seonghwa rlly does that hip thrust move in performance I but it's not seen on the vid :') (esp in crescent online party, he did that move soooo good. he's the master of that move dkskhd)
your comment on jongho is completely fine. i have noticed that usually he performs with high intensity and a second before he needs to sing he'll tone it down a little to give himself some breathe control and stability. but when he's not singing, like in these performance videos, he can go OOFFFF

One of my favorite Jongho dancing moments is their dance cover of "Sicko Mode". The man can dance.

Jongho is a very powerful dancer with lots of feeling and swag. If you pay attention you will notice how much detail his dancing has and how he always goes above and beyond with his dance moves. We all know him as the powerful vocal but he lacks nothing when it comes to dance and facial expressions.
He is a well-rounded artist and that is what makes him unique.

Ateez did Utopia at the Kfesta Awards last year. It was amazing! I like Utopia because Jongho's woah at the end gets echoed by Atiny live. It was so beautiful to hear at Ateez Del Mundo celebration.
I use to watch the KQ fella dances to tell how well I new the members since they’re all dressed the same in the videos

We can relate. What Atiny goes through every time. Utopia is one those gems that deserves 1B views by now. As for the their pre-debut DPs, when I first watched them, Jongho was one of the members that stood out to me and grabbed my attention right away, his dance, his expression and his piercing glare that he gives, DAMN! Little did I know, his voice can also make our souls leave our bodies, being Kpop's best 4th Gen vocalist. Anyways, I better stop because I can go on forever. Ateez have the most incredible vocal range across the board and each one of them is so iconically unique. They complement each other perfectly and have indisputable group chemistry.
On a side note (and not to deflect from Ateez) have you previously reacted to KNK because, if not, Sunset and Ride are must-sees, especially the performance version of Sunset!
Listen even the “weakest” dancer in Ateez would be amongst one of the stronger dancers should they have been in another group. I said what I said.

They’ve done the first routine at kcon and other performances so you might be able to find a better view of that routine! Also there’s a third performance video and Hongjoong helped with the mix of the music! Yunho also did his own solo pre-debut dance video you should check out!
Utopia has been and will probably always be my favorite Ateez song. The howling!! They performed the Korean version live several times on awards shows and in a fan meet. If you can find it I fully recommend watching the full choreo. Not as a reaction just for yourself. It is also one of my favorite choreos. I was so sad when the MV came out and you couldn't see the whole thing because it's stunning.

a couple days ago actually on a radio thing i think, the members said that jongho is actually a very powerful dancer but restrains himself to focus on vocals. a member, san i think, said jongho’s ideal style is hip hop/ crumping which he’s actually the best at out of all the other members. his preferred style is a very expressive, high energy hip hop kinda style
utopia is such an emotional song for me, they performed it live once in the k-world festa and was so so beautiful

Ahh I missed your Ateez reactions and yeah Jongho dances like a beast, it's just that he has the most difficult vocal lines so usually he doesn't dance too much to make sure he has the stamina to hit the notes he's hitting. He's such an underrated dancer, you should see them in the sicko mode performance for kcon
