@@StrikeValkyrie he is right except for one point: if said duel is to the death and you're fighting for your life then someone most certainly does win a duel: The one who's still alive.
I don’t know if it’s just nostalgia or cos Jaga’s death scene was pretty powerful, or purely because the music itself is beautiful, but hearing this after 30 years has just made me incredibly emotional
This sounds corny but this theme song is so uplifting to me. I think of my dad that passed and I can hear him saying something positive to me!....stay blessed everybody salute 🙏🏿

there is an ever-present, dignified sadness in Peter Cullen's performance of Optimus, as if the Great War has affected him so deeply that he's always crying deep inside. Transformers Prime Optimus comes across as being rather like the wise elderly Thundercat Jagga in his way.in transformers prime optimus prime strikes me as being in his way a character modeled after the elderly thundarian wise man jagga that is what I am saying he reminds me of jagga in his way
MDthornton83 definitely, I mean he is very much Obi Wan Kenobi in character, the wise mentor and sage whom is very much a father figure, teacher and guide to Lion-O just Ben was to Luke Skywalker

This song marked my life twice, first when I was a kid and then when a suffered a terrible depression two years ago (a bit better now) we watched this serie with my daughter, she gave me the most powerful love to continue. peace
I’m glad my parents showed me this when I was little, I may have not been around during the 1980s but the old stuff certainly beats the new stuff in terms of soul and great characters and storytelling... hell this show even teaches you things in nearly every episode which is moving to me
Jay tell us a secret no one knew but yourself... I use to always cry as a kid when hearing Jaga theme in Thundercats🤣🤣🤣🤣 and it just made me cry right now with the nostalgia when i played it
What a fantastic medli. Carries such nobility to it. Jaga was such a great character. The way he imparted knowledge really was something special. At times he would only give hints rather than jist outright say what needed to be done. By reaching the answer himself Lion-O didn't just solve a problem, he gained wisdom.
I've seen it three times too. When I was 4-5. Then when I was 11-ish. Then sometime in my twenties. When I started rewatching it as an adult, I thoguht it was a bit boring and that all cartoons were like that ect but I started to notice a lot of things(I rewatched Jem too and a few others. Jem and thundercats are tops though). Like the music of course. And the cool designs. But also it was pretty imaginative and it did something the remake didn't. They really did feel like a culture with how much they promoted the code and their actions. Even though the animation wasn't like the opening all the time, it was decent some of the time. And the details of it as well. There's a lot to appreciate. I showed the first two or three eps to my nephew and even just the opening, and he was really excited, and liked it.

A thing he said and I remember till this day was : Confronting the unknown takes real courage,it's always easier to deal with dangers you know and understand. Episode 22 when Lion O traveled to the astral prison though time to save him . It always reminds me that I should get out of my comfort zone when I have the chance and embrace the unknown .
As I never caught the pilot episode, I used to thing Jaga was some sort of mysterious ancient spirit. Decades later, when I finally got to watch it on youtube, I was really surprised to see him as a member of the crew, alive and well.
The best cartoon ever. My top five favourite cartoons in no particular order are Thundercats, Defenders of the Earth, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Dungeons and Dragons and He-man and the Masters of the Universe.

Jaga`s last act was to save the Thundercats and their soon to be Lord Lion O by making sure they arrive on Third Earth!

Easily my most cherised childhood theme. Such epic grandness to accompany the most noble and wisest of animation characters.
"The eye of Thundera will be waiting for you "
Jaga! The greatest of all Thundercats. The Thundercats would say his name with awe and reverence.
He gave his life so that all the other Thundercats could live. They respect his sacrifice.
I get sad when I hear Jaga's theme, it is so meloncoly but triumphant, wise and bittersweet. He guided the ship to save the others. 😿😻

If they ever make a Thundercats movie, the composer better find a way to incorporate these classic themes the way Star Wars is doing.
As I never caught the pilot episode, I used to thing Jaga was some sort of mysterious ancient spirit. Decades later, when I finally got to watch it on youtube, I was really surprised to see him as a member of the crew, alive and well.
