Everybody in this is marvelous, but Marcus's drumming stands out a lot to me. He's so damn innovative.

As long as Chick is still around there will still be music like this out there. I didn’t know that Roy Haynes had a grandson who also played the drums. He’s on the cover of the June issue of Modern Drummer which came in the mail a couple days ago. I’m a huge fan of Chick’s music and have been since 1988 or so. I wonder if it’s just this song or if Marcus keeps time like that on other songs too. Wow, the stick definition in his ride cymbal is amazing!
