Shogun 2024 hands-down THE goat show of the year! Lackluster ending for me though but TIMELESS show nonetheless
I don’t think you understood the show entirely then. Rewatch it again. The beauty is in the anticlimax. It’s chess not checkers. And take moral grounding aside while you watch again

Ruined omi in shogun, wasn't originally a crybaby
I for one, loved the new rendition of Omi. He’s strong, fierce, and loyal. But beneath his tough exterior he still has heart for the people he admires around him.

Not particularly, and making him loyal instead of calculating(he originally wanted to choose between yabu and toranaga before being counselled by his family) literally makes him a completely different person, he's not really 'omi' anymore.
@@Monk_Chud he still felt like a calculating person to me. He demonstrated his ability to analyze the state of the political situation, while also showcasing his loyalty to his fief lord Yabushige.
@@bentucky4324 Waffling, he's not even as menacing as the 80s version, no point even referring to him as Omi, he's essentially a different person
I never read the books or anything, and the show seemed amazing to me! I totally enjoyed it
