I'm only a couple minutes in but i like what i see. I'm in south florida on my third day going to try some more canal fishing for peacocks and tarpon once more and then try some salt water any recommendations on where to try for salt from the bank? My buddy who is another youtube fisherman by the name of Thebaitfinesseangler is also with me fishing out here. We skunked today at the everglades but we somewhat redeemed ourselves at a canal and met a fellow fisherman who i'm sure we will become close friends for life now. My buddy got a snakehead and i finally landed a florida strain LMB.
Thanks man, welcome to the channel! I wish I knew of some good spots down by the Everglades to fish from land but I’ve never fished that far south. Since the weather and water temps are cooling down I would definitely say creeks and canals will be your best bet if your fishing from land. Spillways might also be good if you can find one close by. You could also try finding somewhere to wade fish that has sea grass, drop offs, or oysters nearby. Also congrats on that LMB!
We tried everything today you mentioned and we still skunked between 3 of us and 3000+ casts it was a bad day.... So tomorrow is our last day and we will try some salt .@@AndreasChristouSaltwater
What tactics or bait would you recommend for fishing cedar key and lower swuanne in July. Driving up from St Pete to spend the weekend and propose to my girlfriend🙂 we're pretty avid anglers and nature enthusiasts but any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Wow that’s awesome man, congratulations! I use a lot of 3-4 inch paddle tails and flukes when it comes to soft plastics. The Omen Split Tail Finesser is probably my go to year round. It is essentially a smaller fluke profile. I would throw baits around flooded grass lines that have some structure nearby or deeper drop offs close to them. Fish should still be in some of the larger creek systems along the banks and bars but for the most part fish are transitioned to outer shorelines and points right about now. If your fishing more of the flats towards cedar key area I would suggest checking the shallow flats / islands for reds. As the tide pushes out the reds will just move further and further off their high tide spots. Topwater should also be very effective with the weather we are having this week. Let me know how you guys do and if you have any more questions 🤙🏽
Going up that way next week, can’t bring the boat with my wife and toddler. Any recommendations for a guide or just a boat I can get on one day. I am a guide in ft myers but have never been to that area yet. Any information would be much appreciated thank you and nice video 👍🤙
Hey Kevin thanks for watching! I’m not super familiar with the guides but I’ve heard fantastic things about captain Tony. If you look up “Lower Suwannee River Outdoor Adventures” that should pop up his guide service. If not though his number is 353-221-2510. I’d offer to put you on some nice fish myself if my boat wasn’t in the shop. Hope this helps and tight lines!
Video quality has improved so much 💎
Really appreciate that! Thanks for supporting the channel

@@AndreasChristouSaltwater awesome👍 thank you!
Where is that in cedar key I’ve fished there before but I have no clue where that is?
It’s the marsh systems north of Cedar Key
AndreasChristouSaltwater thank you
