- another amazing animation short (CG) produced by miHoYo, and this time it ends with a heartwarming and wholesome note! ; - ; we are being fed well guys
so although i haven't played Chapter 22 yet (i've already played CH20 and 21 XD), i really couldn't wait to watch this new CG!! so here's my reaction and ... very long commentary about it that no one really asked for uwu (it's really just me blabbering ngl)

2. Final Lesson Parallel - Himeko taught Kiana the 'Final' Lesson, to be brave and push on, and to end the story the way she wants. And in Shattered Samsara, she's changing how things end by breaking the seal to save Fu Hua from sacrificing herself. Kiana has really grown so so much. I freaking LOVE Honkai Impact 3rd. ❤️

Here's some interesting lore I really wanted to talk about but was too overwhelmed (and time-constrained bcs i was watching this during work lunch break lol): -
1. At 3:55, Kiana was using the 'Edge of Taixuan', a prominent and powerful skill used by Fu Hua during the Second Eruption when she was fighting with Sirin. Fu Hua has successfully taught Kiana this technique to defeat HoS. ( manga.honkaiimpact3.com/book/1005/47 ) It's interesting that now, it's Kiana (in Herrscher form), using Edge of Taixuan against HoS. A kind soul also noted that the 'Eminence' is the last part of the skill that Fu Hua taught Kiana in Chapter 22! :D

Mission is a bit of an odd translation. Duty/faith/destiny would probably be a better word for it.
But yeah, while I'm sure she realized a bit how Mei felt. The two had very different approaches to it. Mei just completely shut Kiana out, instead of trying to understand or reason with Kiana's self-sacrifice. While Kiana pushed forward and took Fu Hua's arm, and accepting Fu Hua's mentality but saying she'll be there with her.
This short is, in its own way, kind of broadcasting exactly why Mei didn't make the right move in Lament of the Fallen.

@@hollow8136 But Mei was always worrying for Kiana... Even wayyyy back from Meteoric Salvation, she knew that talking it out wouldn't work on Kiana (lol how hard headed)... Also she's soft to Kiana, you can see it actually pains her to keep hitting Kiana especially when she does the Fulminata strikes before she sent her flying.
What better way is there than to beat it to her so she could understand, tough love Mei rlly gei for Kiana lmao
@@rign3 I'd argue Fu Hua has done plenty more for Kiana and then some. The story makes it a big point that Kiana is the most important person to Fu Hua, being "the one" that 50,000 years of other companions failed to be.
Kiana and Fu Hua have gone through so much together. Kiana becoming Fu Hua's reason to keep living, while Fu Hia literally stopped Kiana from shooting herself in the head. Helping her stabe of the Honkai corruption in her mind. Protecting her from Kevin, and generally being Kiana's supporting pillar. And all that wothout beating the living hell out of her.
I really don't see how Mei feeling bad about beating the crap outta Kiana and betraying her gives them a better relationship. Mei's decision to join WS was extremely short sighted, even if it did save Kiana's life in the short term, it just made the "hard headed" girl *want to kill herself even more.* Mei could have taken the time to understand Kiana's perspective but was too blinded by desperation to do so. So decided on a solution that would hurt Kiana in both the short *and* long term
@@hollow8136 I actually didn't want to compare the efforts mei and fuka has done to Kiana, or even include Fuka because it doesn't have any corellation to their relationship, hence I only wrote about Mei. But ye Fuka rlly had done hell lot more than Mei because she can.
Sadly, only Fuka can do that. Mei can't cuz she isn't a celestial. Ofc that doesn't justify what she did.
Well, she only planned to take over Kiana's "duties" to save the world but Kiana won't let her go. And that's where the entire mess started aaand Kiana's persistence didn't waver ofc. So she knocked her out cuz Kiana will definitely chase after her. It was a bad move cuz Kiana would be, like you said, shoot herself (but didn't cuz plot armor)
However in the whole story it's the first time Mei made a selfish decision, and she asked at first (hoping Kiana would understand) but kek nope... She literally asked Kiana to let her help. But when Kiana said no and even fought, she's saying that she (Kiana) didn't consider other's feelings with her actions (which she learned later thanks to Fuka again)
And with only Mei asking for one thing (that she'll do just for Kiana's sake also) who wouldn't snap? Even I was a bit annoyed by Mei just telling Kiana to take care of herself more and Kiana just saying "How bout I just trade my life?" even if indirectly.
Also her last line "If rescuing you is a sin, I'll gladly become a sinner" she knows she didn't do the right thing and Kiana will hate her for it, but if she wants to save Kiana, she has no choice.
Now it wasn't just a rushed choice, she took the time to think. Kiana would definitely kill herself if she kept fighting like that. the corruption will kill her first before the beasts. But if she were to interfere, Kiana would at least have a small chance to live. She basically sacrificed her relationship (and partly Kiana's feelings) for a better chance of Kiana's survival.
Now with Fuka saying back what she said to Mei, I hope that she finally understands what pushed Mei to do that. Understand as in what Mei was supposed to be doing when she gives in to Kiana, but in reality was just trying to hold herself back from doing what she did and hurting her. And maybe Kiana would change and not constantly put herself at risk (and maybe lesrn to ask for help jeezus all the MC in anime are fking... AAAAAAAAA DUMBBBB) But it was understandable because at the time, only Kiana had the power to do so, but now with bronya and mei awakened it will change.
While Kiana sacrificed herself for the world, Mei sacrificed everything for Kiana, an opposite of a hero, and that ultimate act would maybe be all she held back from years of Kiana just being reckless.
So yeah, both were in the wrong, and both think they're doing the right thing from their own POV for their own reasons. It was expected for something like that to happen....
edit: hm, this turned into a longer essay than my school projects but meh I like exchanging POV's. I just hope you don't find this kinda offensive or smth cuz I enjoy these kinds of arguments sometimes

Honestly Fu Hua is definitely a very well developed character. She’s been through so much, and honestly she deserves to be saved, to rest, and finally be her true self. Her identity was shrouded in mystery throughout time, and having to deal with so much deception and betrayal has made her so strong. I really like how they flushed her out, and has made me appreciate Fu Hua as time went on.

The white "room" scene is a homage to a similar scene in EVA, which the later is loved by Da Wei and some of the miHOYO's members.
By the way, there is a little tail after the animated short, which has Fu Hua conversed with Herrscher of the sentience and the later quited the body.

These characters you've invested so much into, seeing them develop and understanding their emotions is exactly why I love this game. When I first started I wasn't focusing on the story, I was just impressed by such a game existing on a mobile platform. But after playing the Final Lesson arc, boy did everything. And OMG my God Kiana's growth.. the weight behind the words, this is my mission... on top of the the music... Ahhhh that just hits all the right spots. I'll follow Honkai till the end and I'm so happy that I've gotten some of my bestest friends into the game as well.
Oh I just wrote on and on haha.. Your reactions are genuine and it shows how much you really appreciate Honkai and mihoyo. Also a trailer that was just a few minutes long, you shared your own thoughts for almost 30 minutes. Okay commenting again after watching the post reaction parts of the video, rare to find someone else that loves to deeplore dive games as well.
Shattered Samsara is the culmination of Kiana's journey (for now), she started as our loveable 50IQ Tuna making friends at the academy, she learnt about her past and had her reality shattered, Himeko gave her a 2nd chance at life at the cost of her own and taught her 'become strong enough to grasp the ending to the story you want'.
From there she became lost (figuratively and literally) in Arc City, but w Fuhua help, she slowly found her way back but still ended up losing Mei, ironically because she didn't want to lose anyone else by shouldering everything herself and being self-sacrificing.
Now after experiencing everything Fuhua has throughout her long life, with the Hersher powers under her control, she realised that she can't go at it alone anymore and the importance of sharing the burden with the friends around you. Now she has the power, the mindset and the determination to grasp the ending of the story that she wants. And she did precisely that, she managed to save Fuhua.
God I love Kiana character so much, every captain loved making fun of her yuri obsession with Mei and her low IQ moments at first, but look at how far our girl has come now.

Fu Hua uses Responsibility, Kiana countered by claiming into her harem... Mei is triggered
All jokes aside, my tear glands were dry watching this animation repeatedly for almost an hour yesterday. Kiana has truly grown from being a hopeless failure to a true savior. Learning to pursue what she wants without fear from Himeko with Mei making her understand that victory through sacrifice isn't worth the loss.
miHoYo's character development is top notch, supported by amazing visuals and perfect music composition made for their outstanding story telling. Every detail is considered and used to it's outmost potential, I have no regrets following miHoYo since the day found GGZ. Worth every bit of my wallet's lifespan and emotional disorder.
I was ugly crying too, I really thought Fu Hua is gonna disappeared 😭😂 and the ending was beautiful and I cried with tears of joy
😭 YEAH!! Once I heard the song (Rubia) released earlier before watching the CG, I felt like the lyrics and emotions gave me a sense of hope so I thought the CG itself would have a wholesome ending as well! :D AND THANK GOD IT DID! ❤️

Wonderful reaction, and it looks like you've come prepared this time, and yes it was a beautiful animation, a little bit of what i understand as well, is the place when they are first fighting with HOS is usually a place to make rest of the sword when their owner is gone, which make me sad cause that is a lot of sword and a lot of people that she know and maybe laid to rest, and it looks like cause she is back to mount taixuan all her memories that she discarded once is being collected again, and yes, the song is also really good and it really show how Kiana cares so much for Fu Hua. And i might be interpreting this wrong but almost all Fu Hua problem is countered by Kiana statement except the last one cause Kiana might say that she will not make Fu Hua feel alone anymore but still for how long? Cause time is literally what makes Fu Hua alone, so yeah it still sad cause maybe in less than 100 years she will be alone again... oh great now i'm crying again, Anyway wonderful reaction.

This is when Kiana realized how stupid she sounded when mei left her. And it's something that she does NOT accept, when she's now on the receiving end of that statement.
I fail to see how that's stupid. Kiana has been taught since she was a little baby that risking her life to saving people is the Kaslana's way. Furthermore, she promised her father they would always fight to protect everything that's beautiful in the world. And on top of that she promised Himeko she would fight to change the story and save the world. It's literally her mission, her duty and her destiny. There's nothing stupid about it.

What is stupid is the notion of "Reaching so called victory through sacrifice", for the current kiana at the very least.
Note that the notion itself is noble, but Kiana now sees the limit of it, as well as the affect it has on other people close to her when she is the one "sacrificing". Realizing how her old mentality forced one of her closest friend to join the world serpent, she now thrives to create a story where victory can be achieved without painful sacrifice, a story where she's willing to pull all her heart towards reaching, and THIS TIME, she's also willing to do it with others she cared about together. She's no longer a loner who shoulders everything by herself while selfishly thinking "that's fine if its just me suffering".

I honestly think you're jumping to conclusions. Kiana doesn't want others (specially those close to her) to risk their lives for her if she can help it. She's always been like that. It's nothing new. But whether she's willing to risk her own life is a totally different story. If she thinks it's necessary to risk her life or even sacrifice herself to save others, she will do it without even thinking about it. I don't think that has changed. In fact, we know from APHO that at the end of the story Kiana will indeed sacrifice herself to seal the Honkai away in the moon.
This really gives me hope of getting a happy ending in this game. Also I love your reactions so much! 😭

I'm cry because fu hua said this the last time goodbye, *THEN I'M CRY* again because kiana can saves fu hua,then *I'M CRY AGAIN* because fu hua walking into different form and i'm realized that she alive long enough that she can't feel happiness again, so yeah basically i'm cry in entire cg
WAHHHHHHHH. This CG blew me away, I was expecting to go into a manic depression, but I was left with only good feels. I've lost track of the number of times I've watched Shattered Samsara..... I'm just glad I'm not the only one trying to hold back the waterworks while watching it.
I think people who dislike a youtube video even if its a good content is because its just for fun. There is no real intention for the dislike given.
And i dont mind you bawling your eyes (and nose), thats a normal reaction. Hell, i am a grown up men and mihoyo videos makes my heart hurt, manly tears, runny nose, and other emotion i just cant describe.

Ok, quick side note. I just discovered this channel and wow, where have you been all my life. I've never seen someone so passionate about Honkai Impact 3rd. I really enjoy the main story of Honkai and I'm reading it's many manga. You are incredibly well versed with the lore of this game and very passionate about it as well. This channel is just amazing. Tiny detail I noticed. Most of the calligraphy writing is white on a black background to reiterate again the hardship Fu Hua has endured over fifty thousand years, except for the very last bit after the walking sequence that's black on white and reads "everything changed here and now." If that doesn't communicate visually the emotional 180 of Kiana breaking into the samsara, from a depressing eternity bound to her mission/duty/destiny to a brighter future with a friend by her side, I don't know what will.

Very insightful reaction and analysis. I can spot 2 reference in the trailer. 1st is when Kiana use her power to go where Fu Hua like when the Simon (MC) of Gurren lagann find her Nia (lover) and 2nd is when at 6:22 is reference to Evangelion 2.0 where Shinji trying to get Rei.

Although I have no idea about the Honkai lore, I watched this video in its entirety and teared up with you. Yes, its hard not to bring a tear to your eye. Many of us have been watching Kiana grow. We watched the long inner battle between Kiana and Sirin, and the losses from that. We've watched her now be able to control her Herrscher powers and instead of watching another loved one die, she was able to reverse the whole situation and save Fu Hua. Himeko would have been soooo proud of Kiana!! This was beautiful. Hopefully you all notice Kiana was using the Blade Mantra. Probably the only thing that could stop HoS since Fu Hua couldn't control her Herrscher side.

I have a snealing suspicion that near the kiana/sirin arc we'll get an awakening/aug to WC. They kept using that version of her -the weakest, intsead of other non-herrscher-influenced suits. I'm hoping that if my theory is true then that form is gonna be a perfect combination of not only both sirin's and kiana's powers but also their wills, finally accepting one another

One of the best parts at the end in Saint Freya is Hua eyes are shining, she is finally here with us, right here right now in this era. Be it the glimmering of unshed tears from heartwarming or Hua finally can live in the now and can look forward to the future with Kiana and everyone , I think that she's now feeling happy again after so long. I'm so glad, thank you our beloved Tuna

I'm also doing my best not to spoil myself by watching all the CGs at once, so I'm going through the in-game plot first XD and from my own experience, reading the manga won't really spoil your in-game experience! :) It actually helps in giving more context into what's going on (but this is just my opinion!) Hope you have fun playing Honkai!!
if you pay atention to Fu Hua when Kinana breakes the seal, she goes to embrece Kiana and then step back when she notece what Kiana is doing, shoing how Fu Hua don't want to be alone and how she logicliy thinks that beinh sealded is the best
