      You should get some. Its not too expensive. To me its like a strong miso. It goes very well in meat marinades and in soup. Adds a nice rich umami taste to things.

    된장 맛이 무척 궁금합니다 메주는 정통으로 잘만들어지는것같은데 시중에 된장은 왜 옛날그맛 을 만나기가 어려운지
    예전 어릴때 시골에서 큰장독에 겉을걷어내면 속에 누런된장 의 맛이그립네요

      담그세요한말 짜리 독에 물 이십리터에 천일염삼키로 간수뺀소금물 육십일 후에빼세요 거의소금은 적당랴미나야카은짠게더났습니다 당ㅁ글때 대추많이넣으세요 다른사람들은 한두주먹 넣는데저는서너주먹넣습니다

    나 어렸을때 할머니집에서 쇠죽끓이는 가마솥에 삶아서
    절구에찧고 네모로 만들고 그냥 손으로 동그랗게 만들고
    작은방 시렁에 매달아 놓은거 봤는데 작은방 메주 뜬냄새
    그때는 싫었는데
    우리어머니 서울 올라올때도 큰 항아리 가져 와서
    장 담궜는데 망치로 메주 쪼개고 그랬는데
    지금은 간장 된장 고추장 다 사먹고 있네요..

    We also consumed soyabean. There is only one suffles in steps. We boiled drain water without making into brick. After draining water and moisture. We put in bamboo basket cover with leaves. Tight it then hang upside down in the corridor in sun. Then when the smells come. We make the paste into biscuits or round like shoaps. Then then dry in the sun. Then store.

      they put the brick of bean into salt water, to make soy sauce.
      the salt water turns into soy sauce after several month, then they remove those bricks, and the bricks become soy paste.

    반지를 끼고 음식을 만지는 것은 위생상 매우 안좋은 것 같은데... 나도 결혼 직후에 몇달간 결혼 반지를 끼고 다녔는데 손한번 씻기더라도 반지와 손가락이 맞닿는 부분에 비누 조가리가 끼고 쉽게 안 없어져서 결혼반지를 벗어버림.

    Personally, I don't think it's hygienic. Some workers don't wear gloves. Put bean paste on the straw mat, and it was also trampled on by the workers' shoes. It's too dirty.

    유치원 다닐때라 정확하진 않은데, 우리 할머니가 겨울에 저렇게 매주를 한 10개~ 12개 정도 띄워놓고 그러셨는데 그걸로 된장을 만드셨나몰라 주방엔 콩나물 시루를 또 어디서 들고 오셔서 콩나물 키우고
