Wow thanks to you I did it in 1 shot! When the balling ball goes up and misses you, you drop down shoot both shots from X-buster then repeat and boom I got em. Minimal life lost
I must say, in hindsight, you really made sure to "future proof" your content back in the day. If you'd used the RUclips provided annotations, half the experience (the commentary) would be lost today. And said commentary's pretty non-intrusive too, compared to how obnoxious annotations could sometimes be. As much as I miss them, they could be easily abused. As for Violen himself, well, I never really cared for him too much, unlike his cohorts. He just strikes me as the typical brute with little really going for him beyond that. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, Violen's blocks during the final encounter tend to work more in his favor than mine. As such, he was always a major roadblock when I was younger, alongside Bosspider, Vile MKII, and even Serges when I finally did get past Violen. Again, all based on my personal experience.
Sadly, Mega Man 8 and the Game Boy games did have annotations and were lost. Someone did preserve MM8's on another channel, but yeah, I figured they'd get rid of the feature eventually and turned out to be right. Besides, even when I did annotations, it was only meant to be put in a spot where gameplay wasn't happening. Thank you, by the way!
@@Bean1227 Huh, I see. Perhaps you could try remaking them? If at all possible, that is. I can understand if it'd be more trouble than it's worth. Or, if you've done that already, then forget I said anything. No problem, by the way.
I'd like to, but I don't have the free time like I used to. It's taking me forever to even get games played in my own time, let alone give them the caption treatment here. We'll see though.
You know, I've always wondered if there was any official artwork showing off what Violen's second form would have looked like, but as far as I knew there wasn't any. Do you know if the X artbook at least had that info?
@Bean1227 A female too? News to me, cool. Didn't think the 4 guardians names were based on the X-hunters, I guess more in terms of theme/mythology than direct name relation?
Question do you get zeros part when defeating violin here or is it just a lost cause? The reason why I'm asking is because only I only got one part and I did not know you're not supposed to beat the ostrich before getting all three zero spice cuz this is my first time ever playing at Mega Man X 2 so I don't know too many things about it hopefully when defeating the other two I will get the two zero Parts I need.
It's a lost cause by the time the fortress shows up. If I remember the way it works right, if you enter a stage where an X-Hunter is and clear it without facing them, they disappear for good as if you turned down their challenge. You can either backtrack to a previous save if you remember it, start over, or go on and get the other ending for not getting all of Zero's parts.
Omg!!! I love you dude. Was stuck in that final climb 🙌🏼
Violen is a badass :3

Still can't believe his weakness was *bubbles.*
Violin is weak to mere bubbles. Um...okay!😛

Due to memory limitations on the cartridge they cut out Violen’s 2nd form entirely...
We will never know what it was.
@@Bixler4 Too bad they didn't because he's a pain in the ass to fight
In a way, since the blocks help you, would you say Violen is actually EASIER in the rematch than his original encounter?
It's not even a contest. The rematch is definitely easier than round one to me.
Was concept art for the fourth X-Hunter and Violen's second form ever released?

@@Bean1227 shit! I just did not know that.
No offense but I didn't find Violen to be too much harder to beat then a average Maverick.
What about the Shoryuken? I thought it was hidden in this stage.
It's actually in the third X-Hunter stage, and I showed how to get it there. Honest!
Oh... Sorry, Bean...
Guess I should look more closely before making snide comments... Oy...
Don't worry. I didn't even take it that way since it came off as a real question. I just wanted to point you in the right direction. Peace.
@Blood Beryl Disagree. It's more of a fun little extra that's a homage to Street Fighter. It is pretty overpowered though.
Violent weakness is bubble slash ( just saying)
