The bigger rollers are for creating volume, smaller are for creating curves. I think the volume looks great on you and def makes your hair look healthier. Next time if you want curl go for medium ( 3cm) rollers and use a setting lotion. Water it down and put in a spray bottle, so you can spray each section you are rolling as you go. Hope this helps a little 😉🥰
you have to make sure your hair is damp, apply mousee all over the hair and then blow dry or air dry! the curls are gonna show much more if you do it that way
I was always told to curl, you're hair has to be washed and a little damp if using curlers?. And to use the smashed ones if you're looking for some curls.
The volume looks so retro! So straightening the damp hair will dry it out and it was rolled not damp enough. Spray water again after straightening or spray each roll? Also volume mousse can be applied to damp hair. Smaller rollers would create more curl. I also have straight/wavy combo hair
I love it!!! I think it turned out super flattering. It's definitely dramatically different than how you would usually style your hair - which, in my viewing experience seems like updos or nothing at all (which, same lol). Maybe it just takes some getting used to? I highly recommend watching Kayli Boyle's blow out tutorials - she uses rollers and demonstrates on medium and long hair (depending on when she made the video; she makes new ones every 6 months or so as her hair changes and she learns more stuff). Her most popular video of all time has the most tips for beginners imo. A lot of things factor into a good blow out - texture, products, cut, styling, tools, etc. It's a PROCESS but she shows you how to preserve it for several days. I'd love to watch you follow one of her tutorials.
Next time you want to try a new hair thing I have a suggestion: after washing your hair try flipping your hair upside down, using whatever products you use, and scrunch your hair with your hands for a little bit, and then use a diffuser to dry your hair. When you flip your hair it should have nice texture and volume. You and I have very similar hair; length, thickness, cut, wave pattern, everything but color, and that's one of my favorite ways to style it without much work in comparison to a lot of other styles.
Oooooo 90s mommiiii ♥️ I love it! You did everything exactly right but also wrong lol u want curls or waves so u need a smaller roller size but for this roller size, u did everything right and it’s absolutely beautiful on u
Roll your hair the other way so that the roots of your hair are sitting or going from the under side of the roller not above it ( toilet tissue roll situation lol) and curl your hair outwards away from your face
Nice look 😄 I recently rediscovered rollers I was at the dollar store and I picked up a pack of rollers and decided to use them on my bangs, and it turned out beautifully I then sprayed them into place, and they kept the curl all day.
What look and style of curl/wave are you going for? I think might be the way you are curling your hair with the flat iron. Gotta like twist iron at base almost fully around then pull down to get curl. and if your getting gripping/skipping of the iron it's probably too thick of a section. Right now only putting a tiny curl on the end. But maybe that's the look you want? Also try curling everything away from the face instead of towards your face.
Preparation is the key, I'd do this on freshly washed hair. But I do think it's a massive improvement.. its styled and bouncy. Not perfect, but nice 😅 ❤
i wash my hair at night, dry it and then sleep in rollers, in the morning it looks bomb because there is a little moisture left in the hair but overnight it dries completely
To get stronger curls I use curl cream with my heat protectant, mist my whole head with water once the rollers are in and blow-dry it after. Still faster than using a curling iron😂
I know it strips the color faster, but on your hair health journey, have you gotten a clarifying shampoo to start stripping the heavy metals from your hair from all that hard water? Should use it every other day for at least a week if you think your hair is still going through it. Then a deep conditioning treatment to follow it all up should get you back to just bleach damage.
11:15 volgens mij moet je voor volume de rollers dichter bij de hoofdhuid krijgen. Misschien kleine maat en/of kleinere secties. En mousse of hairspray gebruiken denk ik
Came to echo that the larger rollers are for volume. Small rollers will set your curl, but make sure to use a wide tooth comb to brush any curls out! ❤
Ik heb hetzelfde haar als jij en ik heb het opgegeven en een airwrap gekocht ahahaha. De barrel voor krullen werkt niet echt maar het is zoveel sneller en makkelijker om iets met mijn haar te doen.
I think the 28cm was all the way around (30, 40 and 50cm rollers are common for volume), smaller ones are for tighter curls and ringlets. I think it looks beautiful and suites you!
It’s very suburban mom! But I think if you have rollers in a smaller size (like other ppl have suggested) it would look really good! But also for next time, if you roll the hair also whilst taking it out (if you go back you twirled your hair a few times after taking them out, if you do that motion while taking out the rollers it’ll go much smoother and won’t break the pattern they lay in as much. You could also use a bigger size for the volume in the upper sections and smaller to give more curl in the lower ones, play around with it a bit and see what you like!
It looks really good the way your ends are curled under and your bangs curled. Looks way way more healthy this way than not doing it. But i would brush the top and back of your head out a bit. ♥
My hair is always disappointed in me also. I can suggesting using a settling lotion with firm hair mousse and smaller rollers to get the real curl going.
It's such a change that's why are insecure. Just use whater no any streightener or similar, take a brush but not the dense on, the one with one file on teth for example those plastic all in the same color and material, brush your hair with it,section, and use if you have more variety of tubes biggers for the long or just lime you did as the result was so cute! During the process humidify ur hair but then dry at your ease.
You need to leave the rollers in for longer. Also, when you take them out, you should insert two fingers inside the roller and „twist“ it out, this way your hair won‘t frizz.
I think it’s finally time to invest in a hairdry brush. You can get this look just with the brush. Or wrap in the roller after for the extra hold with hairspray.
Kayli Boyle does such a good blowout tutorial, you should watch it because I think a few things she explains would be helpful (like rollers shouldn’t be too tight because it adds frizz)
Nex time you should try to roll your hair frst then you heet up with hairdryer. With hair straightner you just make your hair smooth and the hair wont listen you anymore 😊❤
You have to twist the rollers out away from your face rather than just pull them straight out/down, you also overloaded the rollers, especially in the back, but your attempt definitely looks great for your first try!
nobody asked but some hairdresser tips for rolls 🤠✌🏻: - hair should be damp / towel dry - use styling spray or mousse section by section so the hair is saturated in the product, don't do the whole head at once - brush the sections before rolling to make shiny and neat curls, this also makes it easier to take the rolls off - the hair section should be rolled in a 90° angle from the scalp - the hair should be rolled TIGHT on the roll, there needs to be a tension! - smaller rolls -> smaller sections of hair (the section should be about the size of the roll circumference and the width of the roll) - you can let them air dry or use a hairdryer BUT let the hair cool completely before taking them off - brushing the hair gives off vintage vibes if you've used smaller rolls, you can also just comb the hair through with your fingers, sparse comb or use a rat tail comb's "tail" part to not lose the curl - finish off with hairspray :D doing rolls is a work out for sure 😂
Girl, The 80’s ca”led and wants you to return their hairstyle. I would know I went to prom with the same about of poof. 😊❤. Except we kept the poof. Your hair really looks beautiful.
Spray the roots with hairspray as you roll it up, brush the curls out once you take them down. You did the rollers properly, you just skipped those two steps. The giant rollers are for volume, smaller rollers are for curls or waves. I know, because I am 50, and club night in the nineties meant Velcro roller time
If you're aiming for curl, using 2 inch rollers won't achieve it. I do think the rollers worked to give shape to hair that you felt had been flat and shapeless before.
Exactly what I was coming on to say. Excellent advice.
Yes exactly, also she can put them on damp hair and blow dry it. It was definitely not a fail though.
It looks lovely. I can never get the rollers out. They just want to live in my hair lol
Came here to say this!!
Exactly that, I think the hairstyle suited her and made her hait look very healthy.
next time she can try the other direction too
it’s so cute!!! it’s like very 70s and 80s vibes
It def worked! Big rollers like that are meant for the blow out look so you def achieved that! It looks so good on you!
GIRL
You look SO AMAZING with this hairstyle!!
I get that using the rollers is kinda a hassle but it suits you so well!
you have to make sure your hair is damp, apply mousee all over the hair and then blow dry or air dry! the curls are gonna show much more if you do it that way
Your color disappearing as you run the straighten through has me 😱😱🥴🫣🫢
The amount of volume it gave your bangs is wild. Even tho it's not super curly I kinda dig it. ❤
The lavender hair in the green rollers is kinda cute. Maybe a future hair color could be lavender purple with like a mint green?
It just looks like a 90s super model blow out
It works better when you out them on after you blow dry instead of ironing the hair. Still looks so pretty!!
Your make up looks soo good in this video!💜 You look like a doll!
Seeing that you’ve uploaded seriously makes me so happy!!
I absolutely love the Revlon volume blow dry brush. Best blow dryer brush EVER!!!! I get the best blow outs! Definitely should try it!
YES! She needs that one!!!
I love it!!! I think it turned out super flattering. It's definitely dramatically different than how you would usually style your hair - which, in my viewing experience seems like updos or nothing at all (which, same lol). Maybe it just takes some getting used to?

That style is fire boiiiiii!!!!
I think it came out super cute!!

Now i need an asmr series from you
I think you did it all right! Looks fantastic!!
Roll your hair the other way so that the roots of your hair are sitting or going from the under side of the roller not above it ( toilet tissue roll situation lol) and curl your hair outwards away from your face
Wow that is such a cute style on you 😍😍😍
I think it looks lovely on you!
Your makeup looks incredible ❤😊

My goodness!! It looks gorgeous!!!
Thank you Lindy for being so funny and cute! ❣
It looks so good Lindy!❤
Omg your haircolor is soo beautiful 🤩
Smaller ones and do them all alternating motions, inwards and outwards, and try rolling the one in the bangs upwardsss it looks really cool
What look and style of curl/wave are you going for? I think might be the way you are curling your hair with the flat iron. Gotta like twist iron at base almost fully around then pull down to get curl. and if your getting gripping/skipping of the iron it's probably too thick of a section.

It looks really good for your first time. But honestly its sooo strange to see you with such an elegant hairdo 😂❤
I think Its the Green of the rolers that realy complements your haircolor actually😂 neon Green would be so cool😍
Stunning, you look like a model from a magazine at the hairdressers
Preparation is the key, I'd do this on freshly washed hair. But I do think it's a massive improvement.. its styled and bouncy. Not perfect, but nice 😅 ❤
i wash my hair at night, dry it and then sleep in rollers, in the morning it looks bomb because there is a little moisture left in the hair but overnight it dries completely
It’s actually so cute. I had low hopes in the beginning but it took a full 360
do a curly hair routine i think you have real curl potential
It looks SO good!!!!!
To get stronger curls I use curl cream with my heat protectant, mist my whole head with water once the rollers are in and blow-dry it after. Still faster than using a curling iron😂
Your hair looks great short but I'm super excited that you're growing it out! ☺💕 Lots of love!
I love your hair like this, it looks awesome on you ❤
You should try the electric curlers, they stay warm. I've the same hair as you and those gave me great result.
I know it strips the color faster, but on your hair health journey, have you gotten a clarifying shampoo to start stripping the heavy metals from your hair from all that hard water? Should use it every other day for at least a week if you think your hair is still going through it. Then a deep conditioning treatment to follow it all up should get you back to just bleach damage.
curl cream and leaving them in longer will definitely make a difference ❤ or get smaller ones to create more curl
11:15 volgens mij moet je voor volume de rollers dichter bij de hoofdhuid krijgen. Misschien kleine maat en/of kleinere secties. En mousse of hairspray gebruiken denk ik

It turned out really good tbh
I think the 28cm was all the way around (30, 40 and 50cm rollers are common for volume), smaller ones are for tighter curls and ringlets. I think it looks beautiful and suites you!
This would be a perfect base for a Pam Anderson style up do!
It’s very suburban mom! But I think if you have rollers in a smaller size (like other ppl have suggested) it would look really good! Try curling your hair the opposite direction for next attempt!! 🥰🥰 looks cute!

Its actually cute
You should try this again but use much smaller rollers, it won't make a curl because your hair isn't wrapped around it much since they are big.
I screamed. It's beautiful
I think it’s finally time to invest in a hairdry brush. You can get this look just with the brush. Or wrap in the roller after for the extra hold with hairspray.
it's giving brigitte bardot or like 90s volume. if you want curls i think you need smaller rollers and do vertical sections
OMG I LOVE IT HOLY MOLY
Kayli Boyle does such a good blowout tutorial, you should watch it because I think a few things she explains would be helpful (like rollers shouldn’t be too tight because it adds frizz)
100% 60's hair GIRRRL THAT LOOKS GORGEOUS
Nex time you should try to roll your hair frst then you heet up with hairdryer. With hair straightner you just make your hair smooth and the hair wont listen you anymore 😊❤
For curls I feel that you should be using the smaller rollers!
It looks so much better than before you put rolls on.
That velcro asmr felt like it scratched a spine itch I didn't know I had
Omg yes ASMR moment lol. I feel like you would be good at it but then I fear chaos lurking and the volume being too loud.
It did what you directed it to do with the roller size and roll pattern. Like it, but think soft velcro rollers are easier to use
If you want to try a nice shape for your hair, do the pigtails cut. I can recomment it ❤
I actually really like it Lindy :O if you want a bigger effect I think you need smaller rollers
No it’s looking good I love it
*!!!!!!!BRUSH IT!!!!!!*
You have to twist the rollers out away from your face rather than just pull them straight out/down, you also overloaded the rollers, especially in the back, but your attempt definitely looks great for your first try!

Girl, The 80’s ca”led and wants you to return their hairstyle. I would know I went to prom with the same about of poof. 😊❤. Except we kept the poof. Your hair really looks beautiful.
You need to use a holding product. Use mousse, blow dry, and then set!
Also smaller rollers if you want more curl!
I think it looks great 😊
I think you look gorgeous! The initial volume was amazing. An edgy Sabrina Carpenter ❤ xx
4:44 no, you don’t. You have exremely damaged dry and porouse hair! That is like stro in your hand making you think its healthy thick hair 😅
Ok, we need an asmr video from you
Will you try doing asmr video with hair stuff?
Try the pencil and straightener lifehack!
It's cute, but it's not your typical style. I don't hate it!
Spray the roots with hairspray as you roll it up, brush the curls out once you take them down. You did the rollers properly, you just skipped those two steps. The giant rollers are for volume, smaller rollers are for curls or waves. I know, because I am 50, and club night in the nineties meant Velcro roller time
I honestly love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think if you roll them outwards instead of inwards would have been more voluminous. Cute regardless ❤️
I love it!
Flip the direction of your curl, so curl over instead of under. It'll give more volume.
Dude! I actually kinda like it 😮
I love it! ❤
I love it. It looks beautiful on yoi. You did a good job I think. L9ve you hugs .❤
