    That’s a great bag. It’s tough to use rolling luggage and a cane. Especially if you drinking something.

    thanks, I'm in the market for a backpack. "m traveling a lot now and I have found using a rolling bag with a cane is tough, especially if I want to carry anything else like a coffee or snacks..

    Thanks for sharing this type of bag. I can keep track of things in my bag with all them pouches. I think one of my favorite things about this bag is its own rain cover. Can't tell you how many times I am out and get rained on. Or rain coat doesn't exactly fit good with the bag I have. Thanks so very much for sharing this

    I’m glad you did this video and the other Feeldom one. It had the early bag but ended up giving it to a friend, just not enough pockets for what I need. This one looks like it’s a way better fit for my needs!
    At the moment your discount code isn’t working on the mobile site. Not sure why. The bag isn’t listed in the blind category, maybe that’s it?

      Feeldom bags are designed and hand-crafted by our small team, utilizing premium materials. Everything is super-high quality, and not made in a factory or in China, etc. For the City Block, the amount of effort that goes into making just one bag is tremendous, even though it's a smaller size. Therefore, that value and quality craftsmanship is reflected in the price point.

      The outer dimensions are 16" high, 12" wide, and 6" side-width. The inner compartment is not an exact cube, but trapezoidal, measuring 14-15.5" high, 10-12" wide, and 5.5" side-width. It's wider at the back and tapers in towards the front, a bit like a turtle shell. The walls are thick and padded with a robust lightweight foam called Toylon, so that accounts for a 1" difference of the outside dimensions vs. the inner storage space.

    So I find it very strange that companies are marketing bags to Blind people. I mean I have used Timbuk2 bags, Dana Design (Now Mystery Ranch), TUMI, etc. Have never found any backpack to be inaccessible. These things feel like a solution looking for a problem. It looks like these bags are inspired by 5.11 backpacks. Almost looks like there is molle attachments there.

    • @theblindlife
      @theblindlife  10 месяцев назад +2

      If you haven't watched it yet, you should check out my first video where I talk about the company and why they started making bags for the disabled community. They originally made bags for people in wheelchairs . for that community your normal backpack isn't accessible, it just doesn't work. So there was definitely a need for an accessible bag for them. Once they did that they decided to include the BVI community by adding elements that are helpful for us.

    • @feeldomofficialchannel5322
      @feeldomofficialchannel5322 10 месяцев назад

      We hear you! Our mission is to make the most amazing quality of backpacks specifically for people with all kinds of disabilities, and really zero-in on all the details that people with wheelchairs or low-vision need and want in a backpack, rather than just telling them to "make due" with what's out there. We hear that many people find our hand-made craftsmanship and attention to detail to be well worth the value that's reflected in the cost.

    • @harrystaley3289

      @@theblindlife I get that, but sorry I have had and used tons of backpacks and bags over the years from outdoor enthusiast brands such as Dana Designs while backpacking, to 5.11 backpacks, and even luxury brands such s TUMI. I mean the tactile velcro patches are cool and are welcome, but I am sorry I need to be able to just replace a product and know that a brand is going to be around for years to come. FYI there are tons of bags out there that I have found fit all the roles that this one does without being specifically marketed to me as a Blind person. I am just not that impressed especially at that $400.00 price point. There are other options out there that fit the bill that don't need a raincover because they use aquaguard zippers, etc. For example Osprey and TImbuk2 have been using differently colored interiors for years.

      @@harrystaley3289 Hey, it's cool! We know there are a ton of great backpack brands out there. Now there's even one more to choose from --- FEELDOM! Did you know our team is also dedicated to the disability community by supporting numerous donations and sponsorships? We believe a lot of people appreciate the difference our small company makes by being involved in the lives of people we serve. (Also, FEELDOM Gear comes with a 5-year warranty, just in case we don't get something right the first time.)

  • @neolithic3
    @neolithic3 10 месяцев назад +1

    This seems atrociously expensive for what is essentially a fairly normal backpack. It seems like anything marketed towards healthcare/disabilities is much more expensive than it should be. And people with disabilities are often some of the people that can least afford high priced items.

    • @Preston-Lee
      @Preston-Lee 10 месяцев назад

      It seems that way because it is. Companies are screwing disabled people. If a disabled person wants to buy a piece of assistive technology, but does not want to go through an organization to get it covered for them, it is ridiculous, and almost always impossible to afford. AIRA, a company that has paid agents to help blind individuals with cited tasks requires a monthly payment that for many is not possible because they are on fixed incomes, and do not have stable jobs with better income.

    • @feeldomofficialchannel5322
      @feeldomofficialchannel5322 9 месяцев назад

      Hi, there! We get that a lot. Did you know we're just a team of 3 people who are designing and making these ourselves? FEELDOM Gear is all hand-made with premium components. Because we don't outsource to factory workers, but rather design along with people with disabilities and hand craft each one in-house, it is a unique product, and we believe that it's worth the price point. Of course, completely understand that many people are on limited budget, so our website offers more info on financial assistance options as well as provides sales and lower-priced products. Everything is backed by a 5-year warranty, because we want you to know we're serious about our work.
