Okay, seriously. You don't have to boast that she got the lyrics wrong (as well as calling her a bitch) or saying it's a disgrace to the song. I don't give a flying fuck if she missed out a few phrases or if you are a hardcore Pearl Jam fan because I think that this is a goddamn great cover I'd blast it in my room. Have a nice day.
My favorite Pearl Jam song. Beautiful voice, and I think your ability to cover a song, and add your own style to it while keeping it what it was is incredible.
Pearl Jam fans complaining about her forgetting lyrics? Might as well complain about Eddie not singing coherently half the time, too. Feel free to send me your best interpretation of the lyrics to Yellow Ledbetter.
At what part did she fuck up the lyrics? I didn't hear not one fuck up and I'm 44 fuckin years old. Been a pearl jam fan before most of you have Been on the planet.
What can I say...you've covered 2 of my favorite songs Monicka and remind me of when I was a teenager in the 90's. Nutshell and Black...you do them both justice and thank you for giving me a different version than the amazing originals by Eddie and Layne :)
Hey... oooh... Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay Were laid spread out before me, as her body once did All five horizons revolved around her soul, as the earth to the sun Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn Ooh, and all I taught her was everything Ooh, I know she gave me all that she wore And now my bitter hands shake beneath the clouds Of what was everything All the pictures had All been washed in black, tattooed everything I take a walk outside, I'm surrounded by some kids at play I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear? And twisted thoughts that spin round my head I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning How quick the sun can, drop away And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass Of what was everything All the pictures had All been washed in black, tattooed everything All the love gone bad, turned my world to black Tattooed all I see, all that I am, all I'll be, yeah Uh huh... uh huh... ooh... I know someday you'll have a beautiful life I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky But why, why, why can't it be, can't it be mine?
I'm from Argentina and after waiting 10 years to see Pearl Jam in my country I saw in 2011 still excited to see them live, thanks for your version of such an emotional song for all who love this band
Black by Pearl Jam has been my favorite song from any band since 1995. That was a terrific cover. I love nearly every PJ song, Not a month goes by I don't belt this song in the shower at least once. Thanks for posting this.
I can enjoy the music and still joke about my incorrect interpretation of the lyric. I dont think being that sensitive is going to suit you well on the RUclipss. I love Monicka's rendition. It warms my heart when younger (than me) people appreciate the songs that moved me. Rock on Monicka
and wrong lyrics ruined it for me. it's an emotional song about real life experience. just because some people think you're pretty with a semi decent voice...never mind, I'm out
Good cover. But kinda strange that you smiled a lot. Not that that's a horrible thing but it does not pair well with this song.. I don't smile when I hear/read these lyrics.
I can't help texting this,: what the heck of MTV-pop-ballad feeling have you put onto this song? I know art is free and each individual is free to enjoy it the way he/she wants, but from my point of view this cover is absolutely lacking of power and desperation, emotions that are intrinsecally attatched to the original song made by Pearl Jam. I am one of these who think that you can only hear and play "Black" in a determinated state of mind, and you were quite far from it. Note that I don't say this with bad intention, it is just that I feel quite sad watching how the feeling of this song has been "popyfied" and trivialized to this extent. Love and trust.
I'm hard core Pearl Jam fan and love the way Eddie Vedder does everything but this is a beautiful version! So Monicka Hove, I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a STAR!!
i listen to this like ten times a day now lol. 'have it on my blackberry in mp3 format but it's a joy to watch you perform it! greatest cover of this song i've seen for sure...
Good job, as always Monicka. You really rock and need to make an album. Do a cover album or something of all your cover songs from RUclips, you are so talented.
at first I was worried there wouldn't be enough feeling in this cover. It is a very emotional song. However I was pleased, it was haunting at times. Great Job!!!
That. Is. Beautiful. Love your voice. And the fact that you're so young and paying tribute to a song, and band, from when music really had meaning just makes it all the more amazing. Regards from Tyler Kenyon, 17, from New York.

right on!! well said
Even Eddie Vedder sings it "wrong" lol
Ylai Jah You’re even supposed to change it some to “make it your own” if you cover a song, or else it might as well be karaoke.
One of my favourite youtube covers of all time.
My favorite Pearl Jam song. Beautiful voice, and I think your ability to cover a song, and add your own style to it while keeping it what it was is incredible.
Was hooked up on this cover a few years back. Listening to it today, still as beautiful as it was in my memories
same
Melodie Appadoo 2018
So much talent in this world, yet none is recognised
This cover is still amazing after all this years!!!! I still come back to this video.
🖤🖤🖤
OMG YOU KEEP COVERING ALL MY FAVOURITE SONGS :')) Nutshell, snuff, and now black? I applaud your taste in music. And your talent, of course!!
Pearl Jam fans complaining about her forgetting lyrics? Might as well complain about Eddie not singing coherently half the time, too. Feel free to send me your best interpretation of the lyrics to Yellow Ledbetter.

You warmed the heart of this Gen-Xer. Thank you!!
you have a beautiful voice..I enjoyed this alot! One of my fav Pearl Jam songs
My fave song of all time.....love what you do to it....you are amazing
This is by far my favorite Pearl Jam song. Nice job!!!! :-)
Four years later, and all I have to say, is that this is absolutely beautiful.
Oh god. I went somewhere else listening to this. You're a heart breaker, aren't you?
almos cried, just a toned voice, beatifull tone and when i opened my eyes after the finish i saw a veeery beatifull face, so perfect.
All of you saying "well the song is actually like this" or "you need to do this" it's called a COVER it's not the original and she did beautifully
Exactly what I've been saying for years now , thank you
After 6 years, I've felt free of my depression for a while, and on bad days I'll play this, your voice makes me smile
muito bom aqui do brasil, adoramos pearl jam, e você foi ótima show... black sempre....
Beautiful, Beautiful, So Beautiful your version, so feelingly!! I love so much!!
Love this version as well as I did Nutshell. She really hits it home.
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.. I listened to it a million times before I ever heard it.. Nice job covering it!
Your voice is such necessary as breathe.
vampiressaHIM hi
Beautiful voice. Beautiful guitar playing. Beautiful musicianship, beautiful feeling...and, ya, a beautiful face to go along.
Hey... oooh...

Ty. I was looking for the lyrics actually 💗
I'm from Argentina and after waiting 10 years to see Pearl Jam in my country I saw in 2011 still excited to see them live, thanks for your version of such an emotional song for all who love this band
Gorgeous girl, gorgeous voice. Awesome :)
Can't stop listening to your version. Keep rockin' !
This is the type of chic I should have married. Tattoo, plays guitar, wears a kick-ass beanie and most of all digs PJ. Oh yeah, I like that voice too.
I dated a girl like that once...best years of my life.
Black by Pearl Jam has been my favorite song from any band since 1995. That was a terrific cover. I love nearly every PJ song, Not a month goes by I don't belt this song in the shower at least once. Thanks for posting this.
Why does eddie want everything that she wore anyway. And nobody even picked up on the fact that he likes to wear womens clothes
This is priceless.
Deep Night How about you guys just shut the fuck up, you guys are not true music fans or pearl jam fans, just enjoy the music and dont critisize it.
I can enjoy the music and still joke about my incorrect interpretation of the lyric. I dont think being that sensitive is going to suit you well on the RUclipss. I love Monicka's rendition. It warms my heart when younger (than me) people appreciate the songs that moved me. Rock on Monicka
sobo2001 lmaooo
this is one of my most favorite Pearl Jam songs and as a aspiring guitarist, i will use your great ability to try and achieve this great cover myself.
Being a girl really is a privilege into doing this stuff
absolutely awsome. perfect. beautiful voice. it is clear that you really feel this song.
Her head is mostly a hat
i think this is my favorite comment so far this year
+Monicka And The Wolf you still alive
If she's not then the hat is, I can feel it
haha😂
and i love that!!!
this girl is pretty much letting the music even more beautiful
She did good but its missing the emotion and rage
Yes the darkness & agony of the song.
and wrong lyrics ruined it for me. it's an emotional song about real life experience. just because some people think you're pretty with a semi decent voice...never mind, I'm out
this must be a joke... how is she missing emotion and rage???
100%
an angel came down from heaven to sing the most beautiful rock ballad in history
Good cover. But kinda strange that you smiled a lot. Not that that's a horrible thing but it does not pair well with this song.. I don't smile when I hear/read these lyrics.
+Jay Frost TV ive actually noticed that myself but my face is just made that way. cant help it.
Lol yea I hear you. It's all good. Keep doing your thing!(:
+Jay Frost TV This song makes me smile :P
+Monicka And The Wolf Wish I had that problem. I seem to have the exact opposite.
+Monicka And The Wolf you smile because you enjoy to sing and play..so keep smiling 😀
Hermosa versión! Hoy llegué hasta aquí, a esta página, vaya uno a saber porqué....lo cierto es que me corrió un escalofrío al escucharte. Gracias!!!

i am so sorry that someone forced you to watch it then. oh, but no..i guess nobody did? just walk away man
what a douchebagel! she made I hers, it's a frickin cover bro, chill
I think she made the state of mind/heart just fine! in her way. I really liked this cover!!
Ludovico you re dead right...this song is a death spiral, not a ballad
she sings a nice song, she doesnt capture Black
I love your version of this song. Thanks so much!
too slow
good. Maybe she can go sing her own song instead.
*****
It's her interpretation of the song. This is not chamber music or something like that, hence the word "cover". Not a note to note copy.
Awesome. Words aren't strung out and distorted like many female singers. This is refreshing!
Pure talent... pretty voice... beautiful eyes... and this song... i think im in heaven
My 2 favourite songs Black and Nutshell - great covers, singing and playing!
I know it's a Pearl Jam's song, but I'm falling in love again... and again and again and again...

Good job, as always Monicka. You really rock and need to make an album. Do a cover album or something of all your cover songs from RUclips, you are so talented.
