Like any computer science graduate, my life is also limited to 0 and 1, i.e. binary. I went into relationship (0 value) and then break up (1 i.e. something good happened). All my life, I spent watching other people date, but whenever it came to me, it is nothing but a black and white movie. But how could I forget my first dating experience? We spent 5 months of togetherness over phone and video calls. It was my first opportunity to meet her face to face. At that time, I had no “expert” roommate to teach me some dating etiquette. I went to another city to meet her, with no sense of dressing. It was our first meet, where I had a plan to spend some special time in the restaurant, where I can have some Biryani. But she had some other plans. It took me almost an hour in the scorching sun to find her address. And when I finally found her, I was sweating badly. But, it was worth it. Most beautiful girl of my life was standing in front of me. And suddenly, I remembered my etiquette, and I forward my hand for shaking. But like I said she had other plans, and she hugged me. I can’t explain that unexpected hug in my words. But all I can say is that it was beautiful. I had no courage to hug her back and I said, “Stop hugging me, guard is watching.” She gave me a look which I totally deserved, but anyway, I live in India where public display of affection is prohibited. I didn’t want to become a victim of “Bajrang Dal” and end up getting a “Rakhi” tied by her. We forgot the sun, the heat, because at that time all that mattered was our togetherness. After a little chitchat we moved to the food court. We sat there for almost an hour where she was impressed by my observation skills. It was all random talk, then suddenly I checked my phone. Since it was another city where I had roaming network, internet was not working. And I asked, “Can I borrow your hotspot?” “Yeah sure!”, she was puzzled and nodded her head. I opened my phone, played “Clash Royale” for next 15 minutes. I hate this game, you cannot play without an internet. But completing chests was the most important task at that time. I don’t know why she got angry. Since it was not my problem, I didn’t bother to ask. We took lunch together, where she kept her silence until we finished. I liked her, because I like girls when they are silent. And then I dropped her to her flat. So, finally my first date came to an end. Did we meet again? No.
