    The thing I absolutely love about your visits to Hawaii/Maui - is taking us off the beach and onto the "roads less traveled". Don't get me wrong - I grew up in FL, I have salt water in my veins, and I LOVE the beach. But these hiking trips and other beautiful venues you've pulled back the curtain on - just make it for me. Thank you for taking time from your time off to show us the other beauties Hawaii holds.

      Yes, it was creepy out there for sure! There was a point where we heard goats as well but they sounded like someone screaming. It’s kind of funny! And I agree, they should restore that cabin put a gift shop in it. Lol.CG

    This was awesome! I would have never gone on that long of a hike to begin with, and I certainly would not have gone in the cabin! But you made it fun and entertaining. And what about snakes??? It’s Maui! I can’t even imagine, the different kinds of snakes they have there. :-)
    Side note…. I have a white scalloped squash growing! It was 88° yesterday. Everything is busting loose here! 🌱 🌱

      Awesome Stephanie, I’m glad you enjoyed it. As far as snakes go, I don’t believe any of the islands have snakes. So that’s a non-issue? ❤️👍

    You two are in great shape to be able to do an 11 mile hike, especially with a giant hill at the end! I am only up to about 4 miles, but I'm working on it! It looks so much drier than what I expected, although my understanding is that there has been a drought there for some time now. Hopefully that will change. At least there is no poison oak on the island. How about mosquitoes? I was eaten alive on Kaui when we hiked the Napali Coast (in my younger, fitter days). Over 100 skeeter bites! Yikes! The only thing that saved me was a dip in the ocean with its healing salt water. Thanks for taking us along! Enjoy your adventure.🌴🍍

      You sound like you've done your rounds of trails, as well. Lovely about this trail is tree canopy coverage.....we did not have direct sun exposure at all on this hike. That was nice. Yep, no skeeters, either!
      I appreciate you watching....now, it's your turn to get out there and start hiking/walking again. We did Nā Pali Coast, as well, to the waterfall. That's a good little hike there! Kim

    Wow! That is a big hike especially at that elevation! You guys must be in great shape! I loved the shots highlighting the height of the trees. It made them look hundreds of feet tall! Hope you enjoyed a well deserved rest when you got back to "base camp" (your hotel or wherever you are staying).
    If you are in Maui, what is the latest om the Lahaina "wild fire" victims?

    • @CaliKim29
      @CaliKim29  3 месяца назад

      CG: the trees were actually very tall! This entire video was shot on a GoPro 10 ! I was very happy with how the footage came out. Impressive.
      The news on Lahaina, is, unfortunately not so good. A lot of people are still getting a runaround with their living situations. However, they have began clearing out some lots and removing all debris.
      One restaurant is open again, more on the outskirts of the main thoroughfare but nonetheless, they are indeed open!
