So many colours in Topaz, my favourite are the deep red and light pinks. I do like Imperial Topaz though, but it’s expensive. I thought Mystic Topaz was a bit of a gimmick but looking at that specimen it looks really amazing. Another great video. Thank you. 😀👍
I was actually sort of hating on mystic topaz before watching this because I love natural gems so much. Being aware of all the treatments and seeing how artificial mystic topaz looked kept me away but after watching this video I’ve changed my mind. That cube is like something out of the Matrix and it’s insane what we’re able to do with CVD making something that alien-like come to life. I definitely think seeing it set in typical gemstone shapes doesn’t do it justice it needs a fantasy cut or something abstract.
I live in Minas Gerais, Brazil, near to Ouro Preto and it's Imperial Topaz cluster, but, man, I dream to go to Topaz Mountain in Utah and check it out personaly.
I fell in love with mystic topaz when I was exploring some jewelry shops in New Orleans. It's so pretty, and you can get large stones for relatively accessible prices
Oh my gosh! I love your videos! I've always been fascinated by gem stones since I was a kid. You present the gems well and provide all the necessary information. Thank you!
Sheesh this women is The most enchanting gem in this video like ugh 😩 her voice her eyes her smile the way she talks her facial expressions and hand motions like oh my lord she’s soo beautiful like lord
Wait, so mystic topaz is made the same way as angel aura quartz? That's so cool, I didn't know other gemstones could have that iridescence, but now that I think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense XD
Fantastic video topaz is so beautiful in all forms your knowledge you two share is amazing mystic is cool but seems unnatural to me imperial has my vote. Thank you
This was really interesting and full of great information. Thank you! Edit: WAIT! Do you mean that natural sunlight cleared that large stone of ALL of that beautiful yellow hue? Wow… that is sad. But I had no idea that color could be that fragile.
These facts about the topaz gemstones are so interesting and they look very pretty/fancy too.😯😀 I never knew they're many types of colors for topaz.💎🔶️ My favorite is the mystic topaz gemstone, it's so gorgeous and colorful.😍💎🌈🌌 Thanks for sharing and nice video.😉👍🔶️
I live in Brazil and I have a little pendant made of rough Imperial Topaz and silver. It was inexpensive, but the effect is gorgeous. Sadly, most high quality gems from Brazil are exported to other countries, so we are left with the low quality stones.
I love to facet (cut) Topaz. While it is harder than Quartz on the Moh's Scale, it cuts much easier and polishes much easier than Quartz. However, Topaz does have a cleavage plane that can be tricky. A misaligned stone can cleave while cutting or later when worn. The CUBE that was shown with the supposed "Deposition" to make it look like Mystic Topaz, may well have been Topaz but I suspect it is only GLASS. In fact it is an "X-Cube" as could be seen while Rob rotated the cube. One can see the "X" when looking at 2 of the 6 sides of the cube. See @11:13 and @11:29. That X is from a very thin, Dichroic Layer which is applied to 4 Prisms. The 4 Prisms are then FUSED together at each of the Dichroic Layer's Face making it look like an X when viewed from 2 opposing sides. All the other sides will show a Rainbow of Colours because of the Prismatic Affect. So while the colour was not from any Deposition like the other examples of Mystic Topaz, the material itself could be Topaz made into an X-Cube rather than using Glass.
When my husband and I were dating, I told him I didn't want a diamond ring. He did some research and got me a mystic topaz ring. We've been married for 8 years now and I still love staring at all the colors inside!
I bought a mystic topaz ring once, but I couldn’t take it seriously as it felt like children’s jewellery! My mum has some topaz earrings which were sold as sunset topaz… orange and purple- she loves them. Horses for courses, I think.
Great video. I love yellow or champagne colored imperial topaz best. I think that color coincides best for November birthstone, since it's a fall color. For years I thought my baby ring stone set in 10k gold was yellow topaz but alas, when I check it with a diamond tester the bar doesn't move, so I assume it's glass. 😿 So I adopted a mandarin garnet (spessartite) ring and I pretend it's my birthstone. Hey, the color works for fall!... Mystic topaz? fun but not something I can give my heart to.
I have mystic topaz earrings that I just found in my stash of earrings and gemstone beads. but I wish there was something lighter in color, I would wear it more often
Love both impérial topaz and mystique as weell. Heu... a stupide question here, may i know what the green stone monted in the ring on the right hand is ? Thank's for the video :-) . Stéphane.
Cool video but I have doubts re the "Mystic Topaz" cube. That stone looks more like a Dichroic Glass cube used in light projectors and can be faceted to product the Rainbow effect. Please clarify.
Really informative video but I think the KATLANG IMPERIAL TOPAZ (Named on Locality in Pakistan) should also be mentioned in this video. This is the most valuable pink topaz famous for its luster. THANKS!

I loved the peachy colors in imperial topaz, to me its the perfect amount of pink and orange. But all the crystals today looked gorgeous!

Gotta love that deep amber color in the imperial. We also have an amazing locality here in America: Topaz Mountain in Utah!

Utah has so many rare gems like pezzotaite, bixbite & now imperial topaz?
Imperial topaz is one of my favourite gems and it's peachy colour reminds me of iced tea. I find it very pleasing to the eyes
Topaz is one of my favorite low key underrated gemstones. I have a couple of pendants ranging from blue, imperial/Smokey and mystic colors.
Thank you!
Imperial topaz by far is a favorite.

Ooooo, that mystic topaz cube is soo cool! Rob is right, I could stare at that for a long time just turning it in different lighting.
Really enjoyed watching your video, very knowledgeable 👍🏻👍🏻
I LOVE this gem so much--the pink-orange melange!
Love topaz! Love the imperial
… and yes I’m a November baby.

Ouro Preto mine was bought by a private person and shut down. I have some Imperial Topaz rings from Ouro Preto. Beautiful stones.

I prefer and love Mystic topaz. Thanks for you video.I would like to hear more about Mystic topaz.
Yeeeaaasss finally a episode dedicated to Topaz 😭🙌✨
As a rock collector, I love/hate seeing all these amazing specimens. Great channel!

The mystic topaz is amazing. I'm a November baby, so I think I know what I want for my customized ring.
Topaz is my dad's birthday stone/gem. I am getting a tattoo of it in the future.
Topaz is my birthstone! (November) :D
My village is there in the mountains of Katling
I bought a mystic topaz ring once, but I couldn’t take it seriously as it felt like children’s jewellery! My mum has some topaz earrings which were sold as sunset topaz… orange and purple- she loves them. Horses for courses, I think.
Imperial Topaz🌇is my fave.
Happy birthday November club!
Ohhh la la! ♥

I never had even heard of Imperial Topaz until now! Great video, but I have been wondering, what happened to Elizabeth? :(
She’s been very busy, but she’ll be back on the channel soon!
@@gems OH thats so great to hear!!! Ive missed her goofiness on the show :D
I’ve always thought of as topaz as being a champagne amber hue. I prefer the more yellow champagne color though.
Definitely IMPERIAL topaz for me!
The topaz looked absolutely gorgeous
(Wow the ring on your right hand looked beautiful what stone is mounted on it) 🤔
That's a tsavorite garnet :)
@@gems I remember that gemstone from your "all about green gems" video absolutely beautiful gemstone
I have mystic topaz earrings that I just found in my stash of earrings and gemstone beads. but I wish there was something lighter in color, I would wear it more often

Thanks for watching! The stone in her ring is a tsavorite garnet. :)
@@gems Thank you .

Please note that for the future thanks mam
Mystic topas has to be the most beautiful stone I have seen. It has such a play of colors like black opal does. God sure know what he's doing for us.
Treated stones are done by some really smart humans. Thank God.
I was given two very large imperial topaz but they're not in a straight pillar form. Does this mean it's a fake?
No, not necessarily. That's just one of the more likely growth habits you'll find. There are many more possible.
@@gems they labeled it as an imperial topaz but how can I tell?
To me it looks almost like glass
Really informative video but I think the KATLANG IMPERIAL TOPAZ (Named on Locality in Pakistan) should also be mentioned in this video. This is the most valuable pink topaz famous for its luster. THANKS!
What is the difference between mystic topaz, X-cubes and dichroic glass? Cause the cube looks like those X-cubes
Some topaz will become bleached by the sun like brown topaz and topaz from Utah, but a lot of true imperial topaz are color stable.
The crystals similar to quartz . what are the differences between topaz and quartz in shape
Eu prefiro topázio imperial, lógico. não é falso!
I have 12 imperial topaz stones from Brazil
dear mam I am from Pakistan actually please mentioned this topaz is found in Mardan (Katling) Pakistan
#topaz
Another locality for imperial Topaz , Pakistan , Kataling Mine
Damn thought it was citrine cause of the colour
I have a small 3 imperial topas nickels but the blue one is not my favourite
Eu tenho topázio vermelho rolado
Imperial, by far.
Is blue topaz real ?
It is most definitely real. However, the majority of blue topaz you find on the market has been treated in some manner, often via irradiation.
The cube is not topaz. It is 4 glass prisms glued together. It is called an X cube!
Isn’t there a Golden Topaz?
where can a poor boy get 1 of those mystic topaz cubes? seriously tho
We don't know, sorry! We bought it from a seller who doesn't appear to have any currently.
Merepas 5000 kg crastol hai
Her eyes are the most valuable.
Without a doubt Imperial Topaz! Coz they're rarer and more expensive. Mystic Topaz looks fake.
I'm here beacuse game theory
