- During our US road trip we visited Los Angeles and of course I had to check out the Melrose Trading Post Flea Market to hunt for some luxury gems. I was quite surprised how many luxury designer bags were sold at the LA flea market, from vintage Coach, to Dooney & Bourke, Gucci and even Louis Vuitton! Follow me around the L.A. flea market in my thrifting vlog.
I have to admit though: this US flea market was way more commercial (and expensive), than the ones I usually visit in Germany.

Love your flea market videos. I live in Texas & our flea markets are nothing like those in Germany. There are a lot of rusty metal items, stained furniture & glassware. Would love to go someday!
Hahaha, those Texas flea markets sound like a dream come true for my brother in law 😁 - but unfortunately not that much for us luxury lovers.

I have at least one more America video to come (the San Francisco outlet trip) - not sure yet, if I want to do an overall US travel vlog aswell (I did film a lot, but those videos are soooo much work to put together and usually travel vlogs - without any luxury shopping connection - don't do well on my channel)..... so not suuuuure, if I want to put in hours of editing 🙈 - we'll see 💕
It is years since I have been to a flea market here in Australia. At that time they were definitely small private sellers, not commercially run. Thank you for the video.

I’ve been enjoying all of the vlogs from your trip! I agree with you … seems that the thrifting you can do at home are much better than what you saw here. I’m pretty sure that LV tote you found was authentic from the looks of it. Lot of fakes though, hehe! Typical! I follow a few thrifting channels in CA and you see a lot of what you saw … every great once in awhile though, there’s a treasure amongst things! So, I think it’s always fun to check it out even if you don’t find anything. ❤
You're so right: thrifting is always about luck and timing aswell 🍀! I'm sure even the day we visited, there might have been some hidden gems, that I just didn't spot. Who knows, maybe even the black Chanel WOC was authentic vintage and sold for only a few hundreds and I didn't even ask for the price 😁

Yard\garage sales in Canada and the U.S. are where you would find bargains.
Aaaaah, we even saw one sign in LA for a garage sale - but hubby didn’t want to go 😫. Would have loved to check that out!

Don’t forget this is L.A. ..ofcourse even a flea market looks luxurious!😂 There will probably be places where you can find cheaper designer items. Even in L.A. But you probably have to know someone living there.
I bet there are amazing places to shop preloved luxury in L.A. - especially considering, there are so many wealthy people and luxury shopping places - those items have to end up somewhere, when people don't want them anymore 😁. But unfortunately during our short stay, I didn't find those magic spots 😁
