Some of the issues are due to it being a prototype, like the paint chipping and the neck (I hope). But there is a lot of cost cutting visible here like the hollow silver guns and the sculpt does not live up to Takara's normal excellence. And yes, it has already been confirmed that Ginrai is pretty short compared to MP-44. He's around MP Ironhide height I think. But he's from a different show and is not supposed to be that tall so I'm fine with that.

Compare with first TF cartoon series it is not made sense, as you say. This is a really big boy, made it more bigger maybe create a lot of space problem in the collector house^^;
From thus video, it seems the Ginrai Optimus Prime is the same size as the trainbot, this means this toy is dead small compare to the original masterpiece.

The neck looks floating from the body
I believe is mistransformation
Maybe some Posing problem? It is not a simply figure, but for this money perfection its neccesary
