for people getting fatal error after following this tutorial make sure to check out the provided Guilded link, it actually has a lot of usefull information in case something went wrong trying to update your switch! I almost died.
If any errors occur usually you can just rename the bootloader folder to bootloaderold and atmosphere to atmosphereold and apply my files again reason errors occur is because old homebrew which is left on the console causes atmosphere to crash.
Yup I got a fatal on my oled with picofly. 2 V1’s went smooth. Checking the link now 🤦🏻♂️
@@SwitchBrew Hello. I got a blackscreen when trying to get to atmosphere, after replaced files. Do i have to replace the folders with the "old" versions. I tried getting into the guilded server but no channel with links where available to get fresh folders. Could you redirect me please?
@@lastpeace647 i download the files from the Guilded link followed all your guide. The System is updated to the 17.00 version but I couldn't open tinfoil, I got a black screen.I solved it just downloading tinfoil again from the official website.

Hi, I wanted to use your method but I'm required to login into some crappy server. Why did you put the files under a server? These are things that can easily be put into any public hosting server.
I followed step by step, even joined the guilded server, once Im in Hekate, under launch - there are no boot entries found!!! both my boot entries disappeared. There is an error saying " no boot entries found, check bootloader has boot entries. Under the folder i downloaded ini folder is empty??? Please help! I had no issue with my old 14.1.2

Today is my birthday and I does not work. The NSW is not starting anymore with atmosphere. The logo appears but after that straight comes an error. Without atmosphere I can start it, it tells me it is "17.0." before it worked fine but I did not update it since 13.2 or something. I added you in DC if you can help me it would be best day ever.
I use a RCMloader to inject the payload. Should I not update the payload file on it till after I have installed the new CFW using DayBreak?

i updated from 14. something i forget i bought this switch about 8 months ago never attempted to update after re watching i realized i forgot to remove the custom home screen so when i go to launch atmosphere it just gives me a blank screen do you know how i can fix it from this point on

I'm currently on 16.0.3 and tried updating to both 16.1.0 and 17.0.0 but neither folders are being shown in Daybreak.
Have never had this problem before so wondering if you can provide some insight into why this might be happening?
Try renaming the file to 170 no full stops etc
I had the same issue "daybreak not showing update folder". Here how I sorted it out:
1.Create folder "firmware" on root of SD card
2.Extract all the files for firmware update
3.Place all the files in the folder mention in point 1
4. Go to your switch and launch daybreak
5. Daybreak should show file "firmware" Just open and install latest update.

@@kuraikage777 You can straight update to 17.0. Just remember to uninstall/ remove all custom theme before upgrading firmware otherwise you might brick your console & download latest cfw that works with 17.0 firmware (like shown in the video)

I got an error when opening package 3. I really need help, my switch is now a glorified paperweight.
Rename the atmosphere folder to oldatmosphere and do the same with the bootloader folder to oldbootloader.
Then copy atmosphere folder and bootloader from the pack back to your SD card again
Great vidoe! I was getting the same package 3 error and I renamed and moved again, now Hekate has no main boot entries found and when I do get it to boot into the switch screen it has an atmo error about 5 seconds in, any ideas?

@@monmon2cool Unfortunately not, I'm pretty sure I just bit the bullet and manually changed all the files on my computer before updating my system. Don't hold me to that though because this was three months ago and I don't want to say something wrong and accidently brick your system haha
I am trying to update chipped OLED Switch, fresh new atmoshere and stuff. My emuMMC is file based, SD card is FAT32. After updating from 16.0 to 17.0 (first or rebootles) I got black screen then launching atmosphere. I did all backups and tried it several times with fresh formated SD but still same result. Daybreak is showing zero issues

@@MarcosViniciusHu3unfortunately no, I even tried to restore by hand corrupted save files without any positive result (I belive the root problem is system save files)

I had the same problem. turns out I erased some settings within an ini. file when I copied the new ones over. just follow the rentry guide where it tells you how to set up atmosphere again.
Is this okay for unpatched too?
I performed the procedure in the video, I have a modded switch without a chip so I used the hekate_ctcaer_6.0.7 file on Tegra without putting it in the root. However, now when I inject the payload it opens Hekate, I select the Atmosphere CFW but after the logo appears, the screen goes black and nothing happens. If I turn off the switch it goes back to the stock Nand and I can still both go back to Hekate. Do you have any advice for me?

Hey man i updated last night and it boots into hetake no problem, i load a payload and it boots up fine and everything works for like a min max and then i get a error prompting me to reboot to pay load or turn my console off. Pls help i wanna play dark souls,😭😭

Great video, but unfortunately the update did not work. I can boot into Hekate, but choosing cfw or injecting the payload fusee.bin (I tried both the new version and the earlier version) results in the yellow screen of death! Any ideas, please?

@@SwitchBrew Well, I ended up deleting the Atmosphere folder on my SD card and then just copied the newest Atmosphere folder to the SD card. Now Atmosphere boots fine, and my Switch is running cfw 17.0.0. However, a new problem occured: Now the Switch fails to run several of the games. Any ideas?

White screen a no bin red colour text at top below it is a rocket which it can move with volume button

I have a pre-hacked switch with FW 15.0.1 and Kefir 1.4.0. I read that kefir is just modded Atmosphere, so can I update my switch with this method? Is it okay to jump from FW 15.0 straight to 17.0?

but when i boot into the stock firmware (i check out your 16.0.2 CFW update vid), instead of showing 'system update ready', it just show the system version.

I get the error "Failed to apply 'noldrchk'" when I boot into emmunand cfw but not into sysnand cfw since I updated to 16.1.0 and it now persists into 17.0.0. Google has been unhelpful in solving this issue, but I am unsure if I need to take action at all as it seems to affect nothing noticeable. I am using a soft modded V1 Switch if this information is important. Do you have any troubleshooting tips you could share or reference material that can tell me what this error actually means or how to solve it?
That's to do with your hekate ipl file
I had the same problem. This video didn't cover that. The fix is to get the sigpatches.

You would need to install the chip first
also got black screen when booting CFW after update, followed everything to the letter :( Hekate boots normally, stock also, but CFW gives me black screen after atmosphere logo (which I've never seen before the update at boot).
Rename the bootloader folder to oldbootloader and same with atmosphere to oldatmosphere then out the bootloader and atmosphere folder onto the SD card again from my files

Rename the atmosphere folder to atmosphereold and same with the bootloader folder to bootloaderold then put. A fresh copy of both onto your sd card

@@SwitchBrew i think it was around 11 or 12 but to being honest i can not check neither because i lost the bin to inject on tegra and i cannot turn on the console i dont know if any hekake that i find on the internet would work that was also something that i forgot to ask here
