The good thing is you can always wire up your o3 air unit with sbus connected and still have a TBS XF Nano RX wired in properly as well to the FC, on a seperate UART port TX/RX pads. And you could switch between the RC2 and the Tango 2 or really any aftermarket TX that works with Betaflight, and simply just change the Ports page to pick what UART you want to use for the RX/TX you want to use. Also the RC2 would be a great controller if it had some sort of reliable kill switch like a toggle switch up top or even a push butthon like the Tango 2.. But having to hold the sticks together and wait for it to Disarm takes too long and if you put it one of the other buttons, what happens if you accidentally hit it while flying. It just wouldnt happen with the real deal or even something thats almost a compromise but works just as well. I use the Top Left button on the Tango2 for my Arm Switch and ive never had a problem disarming it really quick or anything like that. I just press the button and it unlatches and is up again. I use the rear buttons as a timer reset and the other as a timer readout voice prompt because i couldn't think of anything else at the time lol.. I have a Frsky QX7S and a Spektrum DX6 G2. My favorite is probably the spektrum but i use them for the RC planes but ive always wondered how id like that with an external XF module in it or something, and use it with the drones. Seems alittle big, thats why i do like the Frsky QX7 because its still has a big screen on it and openTX, but its about medium sized but fits in your hands really nicely. Its a great radio and was my main radio until i went with the smaller Tango 2 plus the XF Nano RX's in the last two drones i got and 2 more in others i converted to make it easier. But i really like the Tango 2 and the RC2 also, but the Sticks on the Tango 2 are super accurate and sensitive but smooth. I dont feel that as much with the RC2, but i havent got a good chance to mess with more expo settings, etc..
I just changed from controller 2 to tango 2 and I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I’m flying an Iflight AOS with the Tango 2 but I feel like changing everything to Crossfire, just feels so smooth to me.
Do the Ham file update and your signal will be better. I can fly fairly far and not go below 35mbps. I also have my goggles in auto mode as well. yes, I also fly from inside the car.
Really appreciate the video. Just need some clarification on binding the DJI FPV remote 2. I've been searching for an answer on this controller. Having recently purchased the DJI FPV drone. I went and also got the Geprc Cinebot30 with Vista Nebula Pro. Updating the Vista to the new firmware released November I should be able to bind the DJI controller 2?
Hey @DroneXFactor! I’ve had over 6 RX Losses with the dji controller between using it on the O3 and vista. 3 different bind and fly devices. Video never cuts out just RC Link. U have that happen yet? Also, can we setup the Tango 2, too have a start recording button like the dji remote has (top right button). Thank you dude!!! Love your videos.
hello, I would like to buy a dji avata with goggles 2 and an Explorer LR 4 HD DJI O3 AIRUNIT FPV drone I would like to know if I buy a tbs tango 2 pro is it possible to fly these drones or I have to buy a dji fpv controller 2? Thanks a lot !
hey bro so far you're the only person to show using the FPV RC 2 on a crossfire Quad, Could you help explain a bit how you switched over on Beta flight im new to betaflight? i wanted to order a crossfire Quad and run the RC2 until i can get a tango 2 since theyre backorder
It depends on what ESC you have, if your ESC allows you to wire both crossfire and DJI together, you can switch UHARTS in the ports tab to toggle between the two controllers.
Curious - when using the DJI remote, do the buttons for switching 'modes' from video to still image work, and the button to start/stop record/snap photo work? That would be cool to be able to selectively control that from the remote if possible. Thanks man - Great content today 'in my life'. :)
Dude you are going to be happy with the Range on the O3 Air Unit and the image quality. Its amazing in my V2's. Love it! I still also like analog because its easier to go long range and not be complicated and also be able to fly even when it gets dark with the better fpv cams, they have the auto b&w-color and its really able to grab the light from anything to light up the dark grass field.. I also use my DJI V2's as a FPV screen with an external Fat Shark Analog RX with the Analog AV-IN in Air Unit/Vista mode. Works perfectly and its super clear now with the better RX58080Pro VRX w/ Diversity Antenna's. Just need to find the right analog antennas for my drone and for the VRX lol. I have the upgraded Iflight patch antenna and iflight stubby anntenas to enhance the digital signal even more on my O3 i have now. I have both the RC2 and a Tango 2 and i like both of them. The stivks are completely adjustale on the Tango 2 like you were talking about, but the DJI controller can only be adjusted so much from stock unfortunately..
Can you switch to that controller 2 with the v2 googles? I have the same skyeliner with the same vista as you. Also the spotter crap is so stupid. What’s he’s going to do out there? Come run to the car and say watch out 2 minutes after the incident ? Haha
I bought some longer sticks from Amazon for the DJI FPV remote and it made a world of difference. Am also flying a few Vista Air units with the new firmware and the Goggles 2 and trying to decide if I should switch controllers and use Crossfire or ELRS instead. For now I am going to stick with the DJI FPV remote because its "good enough". Today I noticed that a battery pack with the "full DJI" setup also dipped at the end of the fight. The pack went from 13.4 to the drone falling out of the sky on me. Maybe I had a bad pack? Maybe it was the 40-degree air temp? Either way I am going to be more mindful going forward and hope it gets addressed in a firmware update.
I know this might sound crazy but I'm going with the DJI Controller 2 😲
More on this soon and 03 stuff too!
Sub for more 😃
You’re right, that does sound crazy, but it’s whatever works gg

TBS Tango 2 with the CNC gimbals, hands down the best!

only with the googles 2, not v2
No 😭
The newer HD version of the Cinebot has the O3 Air Unit option. That version should work with the Controller 2.
Excellent Comparison Video. Merry Christmas To You and Your Family. Thank You Xavier.
I have both also and think i like the controller 2 better

TBS tango will work with anything you build, but not DJI Avata 😭

@@xavier_arthur I believe it’s an F7 on the Nazgûl f6 V2
Yes please how do you switch.
Can you please make a tutorial video of the switching process? I Need help

Only start stop recording not photo
Thanks for this. Appreciate it.

Using stick extenders really helped me out on the dji remote 2. Way more control
What kind of extenders?
@@gus8378 MotuTech stick extenders. On amazon. About 14 usd

Yes
Yes, but only if you have the new 03 Air Unit!
Or
The visit will work with the controller 2 if you upgrade to the new goggles 2.

There's a new update out. Lets know how it goes
@@ha-media I flew yesterday with the new update and noticed an improvement with signal and maybe one with my battery. Need more flights :)
what do you think about it now? I mean did you switch?
Good comparison video.
Great info, thanks.
why is it that when u switched to the dji controller your bitrate went up to 50 mbps??
I heard that if you lose video signal it cuts connection with the DJI controller but with Tango 2 you can still get a connection. Is that true ?
First sentence is unfortunately true, i think the second one is true too (didn't test o3 with any other controllers yet).
It look like your video is breaking up which has nothing to do with your rc link
Damn that drone is dirty
Your drone is muddy as hell and you expect me to believe that you don't crash like that with your Tango 2? 🙄
Connection wayyy better on controller 2
Get rid of the DJI controller. It's unreliable.
And do you have Ham config on the goggles?
Ham?
