Glad I found this. Got myself a hand pour craw mold to use up the leftover plastic from my injecting. I suck at hand pouring right now lol. Glad to hear there’s a learning curve and it’s not just me.
Makes me wish I still had my Creepy Crawler molds from when I was a kid so I could make some little hand pour beetles and spiders that my 5 year old cousin could use when I take him fishing with me so he can get into some panfish or trout
Creepy Crawlers were great! I may look on ebay to find one. I guess in this day and age hot aluminum molds and plastic are too much for kids to handle safely.
Quite frankly I like a little of both. For example, I like split shot shads and large 8" worms hand pours from the master Paul Paul Krew. On the other hand I use Senko style baits Injected by BIG DAWG Baits of Florida. Believe me, both work very well here in Calif. But I love learning about making plastic baits from you. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Just about to get into making my own soft plastics and want to try both. got an injector, plastisol and some molds and other stuff for Christmas, I'm looking forward to getting started.
I finally understand what people be talking about flashing I bought a cheap mold that you have to use c clamp lol I always just used the wing nuts comes with the molds I have never had that before you cant even with c clamps put a lot of pressure on them
I'm kind of thinking you could use the blood lines mold to make red or black sticks, or a narrower stick worm mold for similar. You could cut them to short lengths, the width of the pour mold where you want them. Then, you pour the bottom of the mold, add short sticks, and pour the rest for shad spots and eyeballs.
Sir your awesome all your baits you do they are great I love your work I cant wait to see more of your baits you do thanks for all you learned us and can't wait to learn more thanks and appreciate it hope you and yours and the new baby had a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEARS
Awesome job as always Chris. I would love to see you do something in the zoom Tennessee shad color. I'll buy whatever it is from you. How do you go about finding the color recipes?
"Today we're going to be making black and white swim baits." Makes blue and white baits... Joking aside, nice demonstration. Just getting back into fishing after moving to the northwest, and I hadn't even thought about making my own plastics. Guess that's one more thing to add to the list of stuff I want to try out.
Those Lureworks eyes are actually made from Plastisol. You use Mend-it (or Lureworks has there own liquid). That will permanently adhere the eyes and no clear dip is needed.
Love the video. Tha l you for the good tips. Got a hand poring kit for xmas. Things were going good tell I overheated one of the plastics and it was full of bubbles. Lol. One of my laminates delaminated. I think I let the first one cool off to much.
Sweet vid Chris. Did my 1st run yesterday. I have both of the ones that you showed. I call them Ugmo and Ugmo Jr. lol because of they look so darn ugly before you add the eyes. Loved the blue in these.
I'm already hand pouring baits using the Lees Production Pots. The plastic I'm using is from Lure Craft. My question is can I pour these Swim Baits with t5he Lure Craft Plastic?
I always loved hand pouring I don't like perfect bait my son calls me the ONE HIT WONDER heheheheh but I do inject now some baits like senkos when you go through 20 a fishing trip
Hey love the channel! I bought some stankx molds and I was wondering how long it normally takes to get them? Sorry I'm super impatient. Oh yeah you have definitely improved
Hey Chris, I just got into pouring baits and just have a Stankx swimbait mold. I am having trouble doing the laminates. Half of them try to separate near the tail. I try to use a grill lighter to warm that part up before pouring the second color. I am using Dead On plastisol too. Any tips on what I could do to get a better success rate?
Im just getting ready to start hand pouring and I have a vacuum pump and container should I vac my dead on plastic before I heat...my feeling is it can't hurt
How are these stankx on the water. The ribs have me curious, but I can't find any reviews. I'm looking to start making some swimbaits for the bay, since I go through 3-4 a week.
I'm sure u already figured out the different but Hotter - less viscosity Colder - more viscosity (Think of honey, cold/room temp honey is very thick (or viscose) but when u warm it up on a stove it becomes more runny (you heat up honey on a stove to make a bochet Mead which basically means cooked honey or caramelized honey)
Hi. Been following you. Thinking of making my own lures. Never seem to find the color combinations I want. Would like to know what molds your using for the jerk shad or fluke lure.
That particular pattern, how many would a person have to order before it was cost effective for the customer? The sexy shad looks interesting. How about them?
You should consider getting some stickers and decals made buddy I know it would do you even better marketing at a minimum good luck 🍀 to you either way and thanks again for sharing too I’ve really enjoyed your information as well as the entertainment.
That blue highlight really shows up! Me and my tournament partner should be able to start hand pouring AND injecting by Monday. If anyone has any tips, they would be greatly appreciated!
@@WorldsWorstFishing when I dump the scoop into the pyrex I'll take my knife and flip plastic over the pile of powder. I'll lightly stir it only towards the middle, if that makes sense. After that it blends in perfect.
Hello buddy I really appreciate you sharing your information with us it’s very helpful. If you have any stickers or decals about your business I would really enjoy having what ever you want to send to me. Thanks again and keep up the good work !
You at spired me to try to make my own soft plastics you are the best of making soft plastics and are doing neat and cool different mix colours me and my brother like when you do soft mix plastics so do you think that you can make green and red soft plastic fishing Lewers
Thanks dude. This was just the info I was looking for! I’ll tell you what’s not suave though. Your bunched up hoodie. Fix your hood Timmy. You in third grade? Lol. Just messing with you.
I have to be honest these baits look awesome and would catch a hole lot of fisherman. But i don't think the colors are that practical. Maybe in very stained or muddy waters. But they look a lot like China baits. Not as far as quality but as far as the very different colors. But i would definitely get into collecting these
World's Worst Fishing first let me apologize. I didn’t mean for comment to sound so rude. After reading it back I sound like a big jerk. It was not my intent to come at you with negativity but more of what not to do. Personally, I think trimmed baits look unprofessional and make buyers hesitant on purchasing. All hand pours I’ve encountered and purchased don’t even look like hand pours at all. That’s how good the bait makers are. I make baits too and I never trim simply because my pours are on point. Occasionally I do mess up but there’s an easy way to fix it as if nothing happened at all. When I said keep practicing I just meant that it can be done and to keep at it until you get to that point. Again sorry i sounded like a jerk. Sometimes hard to convey through a message.
@@produc3d didn't think you sounded rude at all, I've been actively hand pouring for a little over 2 months, I don't expect perfect handpours and infact the imperfections in a hand-set open pour mold such as these is what I find attractive. The video was titled about learning handpouring rather than how to make perfect handpours, which I am a long ways from.
Do you prefer hand pouring or hand injection?
World's Worst Fishing both 😂
I do both, I started with hand pouring found that they both have benefits and advantages over each other but I have fun with both.
I mainly do injection pours, some hand pours, but normally I'm only pouring one color.
You should make some underwater action vids to see how they swim

i like it hot..350 or higher so that it doesnt clump or add too much bulk.

not at all..i squirt some scent in the bags and done.

cost effective for the customer?? or for the bait maker?

How do you avoid air bubbles in the ribs when you clear dip them?
not really sure, I use the dead on plastic worm blend for dipping and it comes out really well.
World's Worst Fishing I use dead on as well I might try to dip in hotter plastic! What temp are you dipping in?
How’d you get 5 cavity. I only see 2 cavity in that size
This one was custom made a long time ago
@@WorldsWorstFishing thanks for the reply. Question 1 did you make the mold? If so is there a video you have on how you did it?
How is the action on these, is it just tail action or body action like the ai mold?
it wobbles side to side like most swimbaits...the ribs I think make it wobble pretty good.
