@Marti van Lin The few that did tech stuff at home before it was cool is one thing. But for those who didn't and also those who only casually used the net for work or school email, newspaper like articles, or social media bubbles, in the past 15 years. Tech illiteracy mixed with clickbait is a formula that is proven, and why scam after scam is so successful. Although the worry is a bit higher for those in power being tech illiterate, there are some of all ages and backgrounds. We are in a world where anybody of anyone can choose to learn anything, but we also cannot learn everything. Some never caught onto the tech train, and never chosen to learn about the subject, and by extension minimal use of the net for what it can be. Those who have chosen to not pick up the vast expanse of information and misinformation, or are early in learning, are the most easily fooled. _As is said; You really think someone would do that? Go on the internet and tell lies?_ Yes.

So in the UK, there are 2 types of basic Company/Business in legal terms, there are others for specific things but, you can be a sole-trader as a company in the UK, and you will not appear on Companies house, only if your an incorporated (Limited Liability Company or Partnership, Charity stuff like that) a sole-trader and still a company. However, does not change this being a scam just that you can't use companies house unless they say they have a company registration number or are registered in the UK, It's also a legal requirement that any registered company must present their company registration information on their or any website operating for the registered company.

Given that they seem to really care about this project, I think it would behoove them to research these concepts, and perhaps contact legal counsel, assuming that they're not just a weirdly dedicated grifter.

Webhouses is back - they’ve updated their UI multiple times, and according to some digging on the Internet Archive and some pages they forgot to delete, they’ve been around since the 1990s (even said it themselves) - They’re latest creation that had disappeared is Windows 13 Flash
Also they sell beds and sofas now
They also have a garden center and play kitchen???
At one point they said you could publish an app to the Google Play Store if you paid 5 euros (the picture was a book called something for Dummies)
And drills, monitors, RAM, and SSDs

In the uk If you’re a sole trader you do not need to register with Companies House. Only those who want to operate as a limited company are required to register. If you set up a limited company, you will still need to register with HMRC as a company director for self-assessment though.
2:38 This is revelutionary! They didn't mean Gigabit, they meant Gigabyte, Gigabit is Gb an Gigabyte is GB which is what they wrote.
Why paying hundreds of dollars for fiber optics when you can have a wireless gigabyte connection for half the price, right? And it's unsensored!
@TurboSoftware
Why?
@TurboSoftware It is very simple - k stand for kilo same as kg - kilogram, it simply means 1000 of the unit (kg - 1000g). Same here kb - 1000b (bit) kB - 1000B(byte). In this convention capital "K" is incorrect, although no one really cares about it.
@TurboSoftware oh my. Please quickly inform all hundreds of thousand middle and eastern europens - we have been spelling our names wrong for few centuries - please teach us the correct way. WTF 🤡

Have not laughed (in agreement) to a techical roast so much!! Made my week. Thanks!!
the fact it's called windows 12 makes sense now
Linux Lite is actually a very good distro for new Linux users (kind of in same ball park as Linux Mint) and runs very good on older hardware where Windows would struggle on.
This make me sad because some criminals take profit for the good work made of the Linux Lite team.
Yeah, i installed it on some old no-name all-in-one pc with 3gb ram, since windows 10 made it waaay to slow (who would have guessed lol, but at least it *did* run windows 10) and it became a decent usable pc after this
This poor quality mod actually motivates me to create a more legit, better done and free Windows 12 Pro for example
Have something like Peppermint Linux but with wine pre installed.

I have to admit - this coup is quite funny :) By using a linux light - not changing anything else, except rebranding - the best "windows" operating system was created that ever existed.

However, does not change this being a scam just that you can't use companies house unless they say they have a company registration number or are registered in the UK,
It's also a legal requirement that any registered company must present their company registration information on their or any website operating for the registered company.
I’d like to think that he just took a screenshot of the old Windows 10 wallpaper in his screen resolution and uses Paint to add the “Windows 12 Lite” text 😂
I only use TempleOS, thank you
16 colours is more than enough for everyone!
He's missing the secret ingredient, Comic Sans.
It's interesting to note how the maker of Windows 12 seems to use "patent", "copyright", and "trademark" interchangeably, when the concepts very much are not. Given that they seem to really care about this project, I think it would behoove them to research these concepts, and perhaps contact legal counsel, assuming that they're not just a weirdly dedicated grifter.
I'm about half sure this is just a kid who thought this would be a brilliant idea and ended up learning some stuff along the way
This gentlemen said he PATENTED "Windows 12 Lite" and patents cost thousands of dollars so it's definitely not just a kid!

Idk if anyone mentioned it here, but in Russia we had a similar case with BolgenOS, basically Ubuntu rebranded by a kid as his own OS. Some school even wanted to use it instead of Windows.
He didn't try to sell it though
So what youre telling me, i can make my own OS by stealing Linux Lite? Im gonna do that and make all the computers run off of my OS and make all my school grades A+ with a virus or somethin.
That's 100% legal. Except for Nubs's grade-scamming.
