I'm 91 yrs old, lived in Whitby from my birth in 1933. The early part of this fantastic animation transported me back to my childhood years up to 1948 when my family moved away. The level crossing and the cattle arch were a part of every day life. Shopping was "going down the port". I was delighted by the glimpse of the Pioneer office where the local newspaper was printed.and where I had a summer holiday job for pocket-money. Next door was The Queens Cinema, we kids called it the flea-pit - the Hippodrome cinema was our choice. Next door was The Majestic ballroom, and nearby the Carnegie lending library. The Rivacre Valley swimming pool was the centre of our summers. At one time, I could name all the shops from The Knot to Dock Street!
I could go on ... Happy care-free days in spite of the air-raid sirens! Again, congratulations to the gifted team who produced this brilliant piece of work! I shall come back from time to time.

@@Edward2733 What a lovely comment you have made here and i'm so glad it's brought back so many happy memories for you.
It's great for me to read about things that stuck in your mind like your summer holiday job and the nick name of the Queens cinema being the "the flea pit"
As for remembering all the shop names,I totally understand that as i to can remember things like that.
So please do come back here from time to time and even share it with friends of yours if they are from the town of Ellesmere Port.
      Take care and thank you.

Amazing! I've never really appreciated where I grew up very much at all, but this truly special piece of work sheds a whole new light on it. It's such a pity that the town centre has been neglected so much over the past few decades as I'm old enough to remember when it was somewhere where we'd do all our shopping. However, it was saddening to see how many houses and places of historical interest, have been needlessly demolished to make way for expansion and so-called urban improvements. The demolition of The Boat House Tavern, in particular, was to my mind nothing less than an act of vandalism, by town planners, who clearly could not have cared less, about Elleereere Port's history and heritage. Quite shameful when you think about it!

Hello there. Yes all 3d models were made in Blender. Models were then textured in 3dcoat and substance painter. Scenes built, animated and recorded in Unity. Rendered scenes then edited in Premiere Pro.
