Plaid is from Blackdog Productions and they are one of the first original idm producers, ever. Before them would be Beaumont Hannant, Roupe and B12, and before them is detroit techno like Drexcyia and Kenny Larkin. But Plaid is also influenced by latin rhythm jazz, that gives them their edge.
Sound engineering software .(virtual sound technology , i think ,never actually bothered to find out in 7 years of using it ) BRILLIANT .....not difficult to use . but difficult to use well . even a person who isnt good with computers OR sound engineering (ME ) can pick up REASON VERY QUICKLY.....after 20 minutes of fiddling with the knobs on the drum machine youll be able to use it (but will keep getting better and better. ANYBODY who hasnt tried REASON doesnt know what theyre missing .
the one thing about me and music is ; if a buy an album ....and theres 2 good tracks on it ,its a good buy . the only 2 albums ive ever heard that i liked everything was ASTRAL WEEKS V morrison and BLOOD on the TRACKS dylan. omni trio vol 1 came close . but generally im extremely fussy . HAVE YOU HEARD THE GRASSCUT track yet "MUPPET " and theres a good remix (justin flake or someone )SNEIDER TM are another outfit that have 2 or 3 great tracks ...also check SOLAR FIELDS ...SKY TREES

contd..... can you recommened some tracks similar to the more MELODIC /easier listening PLAID or AFX ...as opposed to the more "jarring" experimental (noisy ) afx ...if you go to my channel , youll see the type of AFX i like . still have to put most of what i like up on it . (barely know how to work the profile +playlists ) 10 years ago when i used an IMAC things were SO MUCH EASIER .
the software for 3 (better starting on 3 NOT 4 . is about 600 $ but you can always copy it from someone else. it looks daunting but its not at all . im not a tecnical person . not A natural with computers . cant even programme VCRs But it took me about 20 minutes to suss out how to use each device in reason. Your only limited by your own imagination ,and by your willingness to experiment and think "out of the box " BELIEVE ME TRY IT OUT .you can search "reason tutorials " on youtube .

The second half of the tune was from Greedy Baby. I highly recommend buying the DVD with Bob Jaroc's visuals, and Plaid's amazing music.
