My favorite hiker and vloggers are finally back! That was a cool ad awesome hike. I watched it til the end! :) Good thing you still had clearing of the Torres Del Paines. :D How was it? is it relatively moderate or difficult hike in regards of the trail?
It's our favorite hiking companion! Thanks for watching until the end😁 We were pretty lucky with the weather, though it was certainly windy. Overall, it's not too difficult of a trek, but it is pretty long. Unlike other Andes hikes, it is not a high altitude trek, so that eliminates one of the usual challenges. The trails are well-marked, and the infrastructure is quite developed, so it's pretty comfortable. The biggest challenge for us was Gardner Pass because it was still covered in snow and exceptionally windy.
@@MEOWnderlust Certainly the long trek was the challenge, and makes me wanting to visit it even more with the views that you had on the video. Hahaha.. iam glad you guys came back safe! ☺️
Thanks for doing this video, it really brought me back. I finished not too long ago and the memories are so fresh, you had a lot of good shots on the O side that I can still remember vividly. I started and ended in Paine Grande instead of Central as the bookings I did set it up that way. On the last day when I took the ferry I looked back at the park and couldn't believe I finished it all, what an adventure... thank you for the video once again
Congratulations on finishing the trek! It is an amazing, breathtaking adventure, isn’t it? We’re glad that our video helped relive some of those memories. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@CRMHeidi Depending on how you've set up your reservations the Mirador Britanico might be a big rush from Paine Grande. My suggestion is taking the first bus from the Terminal in Natales so you can guarantee getting on the first ferry. I knew of some people who even started at Seron (and some from Central) but I actually preferred Paine Grande in the end as I got the busy parts out of the way. In my opinion that stretch from Paine Grande to Central is way too overcrowded and felt bad for the park workers who had to clean up the often disgusting washrooms (they were extremely overloaded). I opted to stay 2 days in Central to do las torres and relax; if you luck out with the weather Central has some incredible stargazing. O trek side is much better since you meet the same people everyday and end up forming some friendships. hope this helps
@@MEOWnderlust really, thank you again. I finally sorted the photos I took from the trip and have been going through a huge wave of nostalgia. Time to go back and go to Argentina next!
@@doransshield9176 🙏 Thank you! We ended up rewatching this video because of your comment 🤣. It brings back amazing memories for us too. Such an incredible trek! I bet it took a while to go through all your photos! We have tons of extra footage that we'll probably never bring ourselves to delete. Have fun in Argentina! You'll love it!!
Such a great video! I love the sounds of the birds and nature in this one. The close ups of the birds and caterpillars was a treat too! Keep going guys 💛🙏
We're glad you liked it! Fortunately the wind calmed down enough to capture some sound. There were so many birds! Next time, we hope to see some puma in Patagonia! 🐆
After the amazing O Trek, we head to the gorgeous Los Glaciares National Park in El Chaltén and El Calafate for more adventure. Check out the film here: ruclips.net/video/g3_EN-Z88zc/видео.html
That sunrise was ridiculous! We woke up and thought there was a fire outside. The red was so intense! We'd love to return to Torres del Paine as well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You had it all on this hike. So majestic and just stunning views. The glacier and mountain peaks. Beautiful and peaceful. To have 8 days to absorb it all priceless. Thank you once again for filming your hike
This really was an amazing trek! Totally different than our usual hikes in Ecuador and Peru. It was so green 🌲 It reminded us a lot of the Pacific Northwest, but with extra jagged towers and gigantic glaciers. Grey Glacier was one of the most insane views we've ever had❅🏔️
Thanks for watching! We're glad you enjoyed you the film! Making and watching this brought back a lot of fond memories for us too. Such a beautiful trek with wonderful people! Hope all is well!🥰
Thanks! It was an amazing experience. The wind was crazy! We've never felt stronger wind, except for possibly in a typhoon💨. Kako and a few others started crouching to avoid falling over every time a huge gust came in. And there were times a huge gust would blow snow/ice into our faces and it felt like we were standing in front of an exploding window. Fun times!
Not an ordinary vlog where every RUclipsr is always hungry and shows us WTF they are eating. Nice and serene Patagonia. Lush fields, noisy creeks, and lively mountain ranges. I do want to be there. Beautiful.

Amazing. From brasil. I think my carbon fiber tripod benro will be very light with this havy wind. I want to make long exposure shots. What do you think? just the best video and good information too. thank you
🙏 Thanks for watching! We’re glad you enjoyed it. Tough question. Our tripod is relatively light, and it seemed to do ok with the wind. We did a few time lapses in moderate wind that were stable. Also, our shots of Grey Glacier and pass were in very strong winds, and those shots turned out stable. In both cases, we kept the tripod low to the ground, and our GH6 kit is somewhat heavy, so that probably helped.

We did the hike in from late November to early December. The weather was generally good, though the wind was as strong as advertised, and there was a blizzard at the end. 🌬❅❅ Thanks for watching!

Another small question. For recharg batteries. You must pay?
Free to recharge. If you have a room, there will be an outlet. Otherwise, the dining rooms have power outlets, though you may have to wait in line. Having said that, we still brought 9 batteries and two power banks to be safe 😁

I'm heading there in November to do it this way as well! Any tips on starting with Paine Grande versus the seemingly more popular Central?
