The bad guys/girls never learn. They keep doing the stupid things over and over, throwing tantrums and expecting someone else to bail them out of trouble... repeatedly. There is always one guy/girl, they are out to get, who always has a bunch of people standing up for them. They are always wealthy. The money either comes from family or they marry into it. The same basic story that is being done to death, and not well.
